The last-gasp promotional campaign for Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s Pushpa 2 is underway now and the makers have dropped a glimpse video of the forthcoming Kissak song from the film which features Allu Arjun and Sree Leela.
This promo is a very brief one and it doesn’t delve too much into the presentation side of things. In fact, we only get one small feeler of DSP’s spicy tune and a glance at Leela who is seen in a black dress.
The glimpse video is a brief yet attention-grabbing one and it has the right aesthetic value. This implies that DSP and Sukumar are coming up with another spicy dance number this time around for Pushpa 2.
We will get a full view of the same once the full song is out tomorrow, 24th November, when Allu Arjun will be partaking in an event in Chennai. The expectation is that the blockbuster combo of DSP and Sukumar, paired with an explosive dance combo of Allu Arjun and Sree Leela are going to set the stage on absolute fire with Kissik song.

Sreeleela Dazzles in Green During Temple Visit for Pushpa 2
The team of Pushpa 2: The Rule is excited about the great response to its trailer. Feedback from North Indian trade circles shows that the trailer has been well-received in the Hindi-speaking regions. This has greatly increased the film’s buzz.
To keep the excitement going, the team has planned to release what they call the “massiest song of the year.” The song titled “Kissik,” features Allu Arjun and Sreeleela. It will be released this Sunday.

Baby Hindi Remake: Lead Pair Finalized?
The film Baby was a big success. It was directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN. The movie won five awards at the Filmfare South 2024 Awards. It was nominated for eight awards.
Due to its success, there are plans to remake it in Bollywood. Babil Khan who is the son of late actor Irrfan Khan will play the lead role.
This role was originally played by Anand Deverakonda in the Telugu version. Earlier there were rumors that other star kids were being considered. These included Ishaan Kattar, Aryaman Deol (Bobby Deol’s son), and Agasthya Nanda. However Babil Khan is now confirmed for the role.
The heroine for the Hindi remake has not been decided yet. Khushi Kapoor’s name was mentioned first. Now Krithi Shetty from Uppena is also in talks for the role. The original director Sai Rajesh will also direct the Hindi remake. SKN will produce the new version.

Technology can address food wastage challenge in India
New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS) Using technology can help mitigate food waste — a critical challenge for India’s foodservice industry — and also promote sustainable practices, according to a report on Friday.
Food wastage can erode restaurant profits and also intensify environmental concerns, while millions around the globe suffer from undernourishment and malnutrition.
Parthasaradhi Reddy Bokkala, Lead Consumer Analyst at GlobalData, a data and analytics company noted that challenges in accurately predicting customer demand lead restaurants to prepare excess food and ultimately waste.
“Small- and medium-sized restaurants often have limited resources and experience, making it difficult for them to negotiate with vendors for better pricing or to find quality services that can aid in waste reduction,” said Bokkala.
The report suggested the need to rope in technology to tackle the problem of food wastage.
The adoption of technology will help in streamlining operations by helping in planning the purchases and reducing wastage, it said.
The report cited Zomato’s new initiative “Food Rescue”, which will help restaurants address the challenge of food wastage to some extent.
Another feature that can help cut down food wastage, the report said, is the new order scheduling feature on both Swiggy and Zomato. This feature enables customers to order food in advance and receive it on time. Meanwhile, it will help restaurants plan their kitchens better and avoid wastage.
Reddy noted that while large restaurant chains can access technological solutions to streamline their operations, small businesses cannot due to financial constraints.
“However, the proactive approach of the online food delivery platforms will help small businesses to overcome financial challenges to invest in technology,” Reddy said, noting that although these “technology innovations are nascent, they have significant potential to transform waste management at foodservice businesses”.
Innovation programmes to come up at 1,000 campuses in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 21 (IANS) Around 1,000 higher education institutions in Kerala will soon have a new programme aimed at scaling up student entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Pinarayi Vijayan-led Kerala government has extended the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDCs) programme implemented by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) to all higher education institutions (HEIs) in the state.
The decision widens the scope of the IEDC programme, which initially covered universities, colleges and polytechnics, to all campuses under the Higher Education Department, based on a proposal submitted by the KSUM.
The government also issued a set of detailed guidelines regarding formation, structure, student and faculty participation and the role of HEIs in the implementation of the IEDC programme. The decision will enable all HEIs under the Higher Education Department to set up IEDCs, including in arts & science, engineering, polytechnics, music, law, fine arts, training, physical education and other colleges.
Noting that the scaling up of the IEDC programme will profoundly impact the state’s startup ecosystem, KSUM CEO Anoop Ambika said the project will open up immense opportunities for students to translate their ideas and skills into marketable products.
As per the guidelines, IEDC in each campus will be chaired by its principal, who can approve the activities based on the plan submitted by the nodal officer concerned. A faculty representative from each department has to be nominated by the Principal or HOD as a member of the institute’s IEDC council. A 10-member student executive committee has to be formed with two of them as lead members, of whom at least one should be a woman, to be entrusted with various responsibilities for the effective conduct of IEDCs.
In each campus, an area not exceeding 1,000 sqft has to be earmarked for IEDC with necessary infrastructure, and eventually upgrading these into LEAP Cowork spaces.
KSUM will award the best-performing IEDCs with grants for scaling up innovation and entrepreneurship activities. HEIs will offer elective courses, both minor and major grades, related to entrepreneurship and startup development, making them integral parts of the course curriculum. IEDCs can identify revenue generation models through alumni and CSR funds for their self-sustainability. They can also form micro funds to invest in early-stage startups and ideas.
Israeli military says killed three Hamas commanders in Gaza Strip
Jerusalem, Nov 22 (IANS) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) killed five Hamas fighters in an airstrike, including three commanders, the IDF said in a statement on Friday.
The IDF said that the attack was carried out by Israeli Air Force aircraft overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, with intelligence guidance from the ISA and support from artillery and armor units, in the northern Gaza Strip city of Beit Lahia, Xinhua news agency reported.
It identified the three commanders as Jihad Mahmoud Yehia Kahlout, a company commander in the elite Nukhba force, Muhammad Riyad Ali Okel, and Anas Jalal Muhammad Abu Shakian.
They were accused of involvement in killings and kidnappings near the Israeli village of Mefalsim during a Hamas attack against Israel on October 7 of last year and of participating in recent fighting in the northern Gaza Strip against IDF forces.
In another statement on Friday, the IDF said it had killed Khalid Abu Daqqa, commander of the Islamic Jihad’s rocket unit in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, on Wednesday.
“Abu Daqqa was responsible for commanding and conducting numerous attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers,” the statement reads.
Lankan President Dissanayake assumes charge as Defence Minister
Colombo, Nov 22 (IANS) Sri Lanka’s President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Friday held a meeting with the commanders of the country’s tri-forces and senior officials as he assumed duties as the Minister of Defence.
Dissanayake stated that his government, as a political authority, has no other objective than to provide the political leadership necessary to meet the expectations of the people.
“As I take on the responsibility of the Defence Minister, I call upon all public officials to work together with one shared purpose: building a better nation. Restoring trust in public service is key to delivering the change our people demanded with their 80 per cent mandate. Let us lead with integrity and purpose,” said Dissanayake.
The Lankan President mentioned that regardless of the laws and regulations, the power of the people is equally impactful.
“The President stressed that in this new transformation that the public is anticipating, progress cannot be made without strengthening public trust in the public service. He noted that it is the public service that has been the driving force behind the economic and social growth of every developed nation,” read a statement issued by Dissanayake’s office.
During his meeting with the officials at the Defence Headquarters premises in Akuregoda, the Lankan President discussed the ongoing and future initiatives of the defence ministry.
The Lankan President affirmed that the new government is dedicated to promoting good governance and seeks the support of everyone for the nation’s development programme.
In particular, he highlighted that the power of the people remains just as strong, irrespective of the Constitution and laws while pointing out that the composition and outcome of the mandate given in the most recent presidential and general elections reflect the people’s expectations.
