Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia: Don’t believe in bursting crackers, prefer painting diyas

0

Actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia believes in a cracker-free Diwali and said instead of bursting them she prefers painting diyas.

“No, I don’t believe in bursting crackers. It’s something I stopped doing back in school itself. I prefer painting Diyas and making it as environmentally friendly as possible,” Nimrit told IANS. The actress, who was seen in the stunt-based reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi 14” hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, this time will be celebrating the festival of lights with her family in New Delhi.

“Planning on being home in Delhi with my parents and my dog. We are going to make sure we don’t burst crackers, make some rangolis and head out to the Gurudwara to seek blessings,” said the actress. Nimrit said that she cannot afford to go off track with her diet as she has shoots lined up. “I actually have a shoot lined up so I don’t think I can afford to completely let go off track with my diet. But who am I kidding, I love motichoor ladoo and gulab Jamun. I know I will end up succumbing to the temptation but I will train harder to get rid of the guilt,” said Nimrit.

She added: “Little cheats are good. I love Gujiyas. Like absolutely love. So I always look forward to Holi. I never go overboard during festivals but I make sure to relish every festival’s authentic sweets.” On the acting front, the actress now is all set to make her Punjabi film debut opposite sensation Guru Randhawa with “Shaunki Sardar”

Speaking about her debut, Nimrit last month said: “It’s an absolute honour to make my debut in a Punjabi film, especially alongside Guru Randhawa, who is such an icon in the industry. She had added that the film celebrates the culture and spirit of Punjab. “‘Shaunki Sardar’ is a beautiful story that celebrates the rich culture and spirit of Punjab, and I couldn’t have asked for a better project to begin this journey. I’m incredibly excited for my fans to see me in this new avatar!”

The film, produced under Guru Randhawa’s own banner 751 Films and directed by Dheeraj Kedar Nath, promises to be a heartwarming and entertaining treat for the fans.

“Plans for Diwali this year are to head to Chandigarh. Which we do every year as tradition, which we have followed, no matter who is shooting where. All make it a point to head to Chandigarh,” Tahira told IANS.

She went on to share that this year they “have a family celebration and a family get together.” “We do have a small get together because both of us are from Chandigarh. Our college friends, even they come back. We have a usual get together. This year around, we are having a sort of a biggish party,” she shared. “This is also to celebrate my husband’s late father.” Tahira married Ayushmann in 2008. Yogesh Tripathi shares his day plan for Diwali

0

Actor Yogesh Tripathi, who portrays the titular character of Happu Singh in the Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, has shared his day plan for Diwali.

The actor has taken time off from the shooting of his comedy show, and is all set to celebrate the festival with his family. Talking about the same, the actor said, “Diwali is a very special festival, and I eagerly anticipate the joy it brings each year. Our preparations begin early with a thorough cleaning of the house, which is essential for inviting positive energy and prosperity. My family and I decorate our home with diyas, rangolis, and lights to create a festive atmosphere. A cherished ritual is the Lakshmi Puja, where we gather to offer prayers for happiness, health, and wealth. After the puja, we light a few crackers and indulge in traditional sweets made by my wife”.

He further mentioned, “The best part of Diwali is spending time with family, sharing laughter, and reflecting on the past year, which strengthens our bond. As Daroga Happu Singh, my shooting schedule can be hectic, but during Diwali, I make sure to take time off to immerse myself in the festivities with my loved ones”.

Last year, actress Geetanjali Mishra replaced Kamna Pathak as the titular character’s wife in ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’. The occasion of her stepping into the role was celebrated with a delightful cake-cutting ceremony. Meanwhile, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ follows the story of Happu Singh, played by Yogesh, a police officer in the city of Kanpur, and his misadventures of Happu Singh and his family.

He is constantly troubled by the rivalry between his wife and mother and the antics of his best friend; Beni and his nine children. ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ airs Monday to Friday at 10:00 pm on &TV.
