The students of Central University, Hyderabad are worried about not getting good placements because of the negative reputation to the university in recent times.

But the poor turnout from companies could be because the students of the University are not that bright.

How else can one explain the outpouring of support for a student who took part in a rally condemning the death of Yakub Memon? Are they aware of the fact that this student along with his friends assaulted a student from a rival group on campus leading to the latter’s hospitalization?

The moment a person takes the law into his own hands, he ceases to be a student and will be treated like a law-breaker.

These students thoroughly vandalized the office of Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao and created a serious law-and-order problem on campus. Naturally, force was necessary to evict them.

What did they expect after destroying offices and pelting stones? To be taken on horses to the police station in a procession and treated to iced tea?

They were treated like any other law breakers and this experience will definitely come in handy for them in future and they will think twice before supporting anti-national outfits.

Telangana folk singer Madhupriya, who hit the headlines with her high-voltage drama on her differences with husband Srikanth, is now finding it difficult to sustain her life.

She now wants Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to come to her rescue and show her some livelihood.

In a television interview, Madhupriya said she had also played a major role in the Telangana movement.

“Since the age of six years, I had been actively participating in the Telangana agitation and inspired people with my singing. Now that the Telangana State has become a reality, people of Telangana are leading a happy life. But my own life has become miserable,” she said.

Since KCR has done a lot of favours to those who took part in the Telangana movement, Madhupriya wants that she too be shown some way to sustain.

Though she did not say it so explicitly, she is said to be expecting a role in politics by joining the TRS, if KCR invites her. That’s a little too much for an immature person like Madhupriya!

Krishna and Guntur districts of AP in the late 80’s were especially notorious for the caste wars between the Kamma and Kapu communities.

In fact, a personal vendetta for survival between two rowdy-sheeters Devineni Rajsekhar (Nehru) and Vangaveeti Radha turned into a full-blown caste war as both camps cleverly played the caste card to polarize their respective communities in their favor.

The blood feud ended with the murder of Vangaveeti Ranga. Today, the people of the region are more mature and less prone to taking the law into their own hands.

Nevertheless, from time to time, incidents do happen which serve as a chilling reminder of the older years. NTR’s statue was burnt down at a village in Guntur recently.

In what appears to be a tit-for-tat move, the statue of Vangaveeti Ranga was vandalized at Machilipatnam. The incident triggered sporadic protests in the coastal town.

A large number of youths belonging to Kapu caste and followers of Ranga assembled at the place where the statue stood and raised slogans demanding the immediate arrest of the miscreants.

When will AP be free of such emotions?

As per the current strength in the Assembly, TDP will get three Rajya Sabha seats and YSRCP will get one. Now Naidu is keen on getting all the four Rajya Sabha seats for himself.

This is possible if he can get more YSRCP MLA’s to defect to the TDP. But they will not do son unless they are promised ministries or something else.

Jaleel Khan and Bhuma Akhila Priya were reportedly promised cabinet posts in the TDP. Therefore, Chandrababu has decided to postpone the cabinet reshuffle until the Rajya Sabha elections are over.

As long as the reshuffle does not take place, more people from YSRCP can be lured to the TDP with the minister post being the carrot.

If the reshuffle takes place now, there would not be any further incentives for defecting to the TDP.
