Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah have hit the gold with their heart-warming movie “Oopiri”. All the critics gave superlative ratings and the word of the mouth is also strong.

No wonder that the movie has performed exceedingly well on the day one in USA.

“Oopiri” on First day collected about 268k dollars (including premieres) bringing joy to the distributors and exhibitors.

Over the weekend the movie will gross nearly 800 to 900k dollars, estimate trade pundits. As per early trends, the movie would definitely collect more than 1.3 million dollars by end of its run.

Nagarjuna had ‘Manam’ in his career that grossed more than one million dollars in USA and ‘Oopiri’ would be his second film.

“Oopiri” is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and the director is receiving compliments from everyone including celebrities like Mahesh Babu who termed the movie as an outstanding one.

This morning, the team of Allu Arjun’s latest film Sarrainodu released a short promo of the ‘Blockbuster’ song from the film. The song is an item number and it features Anjali in an ultra massy avatar and Allu Arjun in his usual energetic mode.

However, those who have seen the song promo have been criticising it saying that music director Thaman has not shown any variety in it and that the song is looking like a less massy version of his Cinema Chupistha Maava song for Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram.

Overall, the ‘Blockbuster’ song promo got an average response from all quarters and one needs to wait until the film’s release to see if it creates any impact in the film. Recently, Sarrainodu makers stated that there will not be any audio release function for the film and that the audio album will be released directly into market.

The Hyderabad police have performed a sudden raid on Tollywood hero Navdeep’s Chakrampalli farmhouse located in Rangareddy on the outskirts of Hyderabad. According to the reports, the cops were informed of a rave party at Navdeep’s farmhouse, where several  film stars were drinking and dancing with models and dancers.

However, all the film stars escaped from the scene even before the cops could enter the farmhouse premises. The police arrested Navdeep’s manager and seized a huge stock of imported liquor. A case has been booked and the cops are investigating the matter.

Navdeep often makes headlines by finding his name entangled in several police cases. In the past too, he was booked for drunken driving and assault on policemen on a couple of occasions in Hyderabad and Papikondalu.
