Director Ram Gopal Varma might have crossed his 50s sometime back, yet his age won’t deter him from bonding with ladies. Well, Varma’s attachment with his heroines is not something new. But, latest grapevine in tinsel town is that Varma’s friendship with heroine Poonam Kaur is something more as both having great time these days.

It’s heard that it all started on the sets of Attack in which Poonam is playing a negative role and expecting that the role would bring her back in spotlight. Unit sources revealed that Poonam and Varma jelled instantly with each other and a photo of duo spending good time is now doing the rounds. This pic is now triggering enough attention. Rumour mongers are busy cooking up stories that both are more than friends, we’re not sure until it comes from horse’s mouth.

Last year, aspiring starlet Anisha Ambrose, who had a disastrous debut with Alias Janaki to her credit, stunned everyone when she bagged the female lead’s role opposite none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan in Sardaar Gabbar Singh.

Anisha did a small cameo as a TV news presenter in Gopala Gopala and then grabbed Sardaar, after impressing the makers with her looks and audition. However, there was a huge hue and cry from Pawan’s fans, who vehemently disapproved Anisha romancing their demigod.

This unexpected tirade from fans left Sardaar’s makers in dual minds and even Anisha was anxiously waiting for 8 months to get a final greenlight. And finally one bad day, Pawan’s close friend and Sardaar’s co-producer Sharrat Marar called up Anisha and said politely, “I don’t think we can go ahead with you”.

This naturally left Anisha, who was all excited to be a part of the biggest film ever, deeply disappointed and she took a lot of time to come out of this shock and had a tough time dealing with the rejection. Apparently, even Pawan didn’t have a word with Anisha to bring her out of her hard times.

Anisha is eagerly awaiting the success of her latest film Run, which will release tomorrow. The success of this film will surely shut several mouths and catapult Anisha into the top league of actresses.

Now, latest buzz is that star comedian turned hero Sunil will make his comeback as a comedian with this film. After starting off his career as a comedian, Sunil turned a successful hero with Andala Ramudu and followed it up with the grand success of Maryada Ramanna and Poolarangadu.

Apparently, it was Chiru who personally called up Sunil and asked him to act in his comeback film and if of course, Sunil, who fondly calls Chiru as  ‘annayya’, could not say no to him and happily agreed to act. Chiru too loves Sunil’s comedy timing and he himself revealed it many times. So, comedy lovers can once again enjoy as Sunil tickles their funny bones.

The US theatrical rights of superstar Vijay-starrer Tamil actioner “Theri” have been bagged for a whopping sum of Rs.3 crore by CineGalaxy Inc, a Texas-based distribution company.

“The rights were procured for Rs.3 crore. We’d like to thank producer Thanu for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to release the film. It will be a grand release on April 14,” Sanjay of CineGalaxy Inc. told IANS.

Directed by Atlee, the film features Vijay in the role of a police officer, donning three different avatars.

Although an action film at heart, “Theri” will also focus on the bond between a father and his daughter.

Also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson, the film introduces veteran filmmaker Mahendran as the antagonist.

With her star not currently shining in politics, Jayaprada is eyeing roles in the movie industry and Tollywood. But her conditions are indeed difficult to meet.

Jayaprada says that she is on par with Hema Malini in Bollywood. If Hema Malini wants to do a role in Bollywood, she has the likes of Amitabh as a matching pair.

In Tollywood though, she feels that there is no male actor opposite her to do justice to her stature. These comments of Jayaprada are sure to leave the industry bemused.

After all, did she not act as heroine opposite the likes of Chandramohan and Sharat Babu?

Besides, her contemporary Jayasudha has no problems in acting opposite actors like Prakash Raj? Who does she need to act opposite her? Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna or Nagarjuna? That would indeed be mission impossible!
