The BJP has often disapproved of the culture of sycophancy in the Congress and to buttress its argument often referred to the quote of former Congress President DK Barooah’s oft-repeated quote “India is Indira, Indira is India.”

Therefore, the saffron party was taken aback at the unmitigated flattery of Narendra Modi in Parliament by Venkayya Naidu.

He called Modi, “God’s gift to India” and a “messiah of the poor.” Going further, he said he was the “Modifier of developing India” which formed the acronym, MODI.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity has risen to a new level. His statue will now be unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London,” he said.

“Mr. Modi is seen as the leader of the largest democracy on the global scale with over 18 million Twitter followers and 32 million Facebook likes.”

Well, one thing is for sure! Modi may or may not be God’s gift to India, but politicians like Venkayya Naidu are definitely god’s curse to AP.

There are two kinds of people who grow up the ladder: the first kind comprises people such as Suresh Prabhu and Manohar Parrikar who merely work hard and selflessly.

The other kind is people like Venkayya Naidu who make their way up through flattery which more than compensates for their lack of administrative abilities as Ministers.

Balayya Busy In Horse Riding!

Nandamuri fans are waiting enthusiastically for official announcement from Balakrishna regarding his 100th film. Nevertheless, the actor is postponing the proclamation. Apparently, Krish Jagarlamudi is finalized to helm the prestigious project.

The film tentatively titled Yodhudu is going to be a historical drama which is based on the life of Amaravati king Gautamiputra Satakarni. We learnt that, Balakrishna is learning special horse riding techniques for the film.

Balakrishna was seen riding horse in several films such as Legend, Sri Pandurangadu, Aditya 369, Bhairava Dweepam etc. But, Yodhudu requires him to master in horse riding since it is a war based film.

Fortunately, most of the films that showed Balakrishna riding horse were big hits. Hope, the sentiment repeats for Yodhudu.

Currently, Krish is busy fine tuning the script and if things materialize the movie will start rolling from next month. Other cast and crew details will be unveiled soon.

Crazy combinations will always generate positive buzz on films. Superstar Mahesh Babu will next be teaming up with Kollywood star director AR Murugadoss for an action entertainer set in Mumbai backdrop. The Telugu-Tamil bilingual film will be made on highest ever budget in Mahesh and Murugadoss career.

As per reports, the makers were offered Rs 6.80 crores for East Godavari rights of the film. This is biggest amount for the region. Previously, the record for the territory was on Baahubali which was sold for Rs 5.25 crores.

Distributors are wisely approaching makers of high budget entertainers, when films are on sets or about to start, as they can obtain theatrical rights for little lesser amounts. If first look teaser or any other content related to the film releases, then, expectations will be hiked, so the demand for theatrical and other rights will also be augmented.

Coming to Mahesh-Murugadoss film, the film is going to be a pure commercial entertainer and will appeal to all section of audiences. Hence, distributors are making early deals with the makers.

Rajamouli Multistarrer With NTR, Suriya?

Tollywood star heroes and directors are making Telugu-Tamil bilinguals of late to enlarge Telugu cinema market. Ace director SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series is also made as bilingual, but the film’s two lead cast Prabhas and Rana Daggubati are Telugus. So, for his next film, Rajamouli is planning to rope in a Tamil hero to feature in his film.

Buzz is that, Rajamouli is willing to make a multistarrer movie with NTR and Suriya, after wrapping up Baahubali: The Conclusion. Both the stars are enthusiastic to work with the ace filmmaker and expressed their wish several times at public platforms.

Suriya at a public event announced that, he is ready to play even a cameo role in Baahubali. On the flip side, NTR who already worked for three films Student No 1, Simhadri and Yamadonga with Rajamouli is longing to associate with him one more time.

Rajamouli recently affirmed that, Baahubali 3 will be made with different subjects and Prabhas, Rana will not be part of the project. So, chances are there for NTR and Suriya to star in the project.

Until, Rajamouli announces, the NTR and Suriya starrer multistarrer is just a speculation. Nonetheless, it will be delights for fans of both the stars, if the movie materialize.

Megastar Chiranjeevi attended Sardaar Gabbar Singh audio function as the Chief Guest and unveiled the audio. Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan came together after a long tome and it was a treat to watch both the brothers together after a long time.

On this occasion, Chiranjeevi has an interesting advice for his brother. Few days ago, Pawan Kalyan announced that he will quit films after doing 2-3 films so that he will contest 2019 elections. Chiranjeevi however asked Pawan Kalyan not to take such decision and disappoint fans.

“I am sure you can travel on two boats. You have that capacity. We should not disappoint fans,” Chiranjeevi said. We will have to see if Chiranjeevi’s advice changes Pawan Kalyan’s decision.

Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh is nearing completion. Entire shooting is complete except for two songs. These songs will be canned in Europe. The movie is being planned for April 8th release as Ugadi Special.

Despite the High Court issuing a stay order on Roja’s suspension from the Assembly, it is a fact that she is being denied entry into the Assembly.

But strangely, Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao finds fault with YS Jagan and accuses the latter of not showing respect to the judiciary. Apparently, YS Jagan was asked to attend the Assembly proceedings on Monday to discuss the court order on Roja.

Jagan refused to do so as he felt that the order clearly meant that Roja should be allowed into the Assembly. This refusal by Jagan according to Pulla Rao constitutes disrespect for the judiciary.

When the High Court has given an order, it is the TDP that is refusing to honor it. They are the ones not showing respect to the judiciary. And then they have the shamelessness to accuse YS Jagan about it.
