Comedian turned hero, Sunil is in a flops streak for a long time and is hoping on his next to make it big. The actor is silently shooting for his next, a horror comedy in the direction of Raksha fame Vamsi Krishna Akella. The movie is titled ‘Jakkanna’.

It may be reminded that SS Rajamouli, who strives for perfection, is fondly called Jakkanna by people close to him. Jakkanna is currently in the last leg of its shoot. The makers have informed that 80% of the movie shooting is complete and the last schedule of the movie will begin from 24th of this month.

The makers have started their promotions the other day by releasing the first Look Poster of the film. Bollywood girl Mannara Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra is romancing Sunil in this movie. R Sudarshan Reddy, who earlier produced the blockbuster horror comedy, Prema Katha Chitram, is also producing the movie under his RCA Creations banner. Sunil’s last film, Krishnashtami is a big flop. He hopes for a turn around with Jakkanna.

Playing a wheelchair-bound character is never going to be a cakewalk and One has to fight many odds to do justice to such unconventional roles. For ‘Oopiri’, Nagarjuna walked the toughest path yet makes it look so lovable and believable.

Usually, Actors look for a chair after completion of their shots. While shooting for ‘Oopiri’, Nag used to jump out his wheelchair the moment shot was okayed by the Director to walk around the sets as he was made to sit for so long.

Nagarjuna is very particular about his daily schedule and would go to sleep at 9.30 PM. After he began shooting for ‘Oopiri’, He was unable to sleep till 12.30 as sitting in the chair for most of the time on the sets is like taking rest.

Not just Telugu & Tamil versions, ‘The Intouchables’ will be having a Hindi remake too. Ace Filmmaker Karan Johar bought the remake rights of this French drama. Before going to shoot, He wants to see the response of the audience for Telugu-Tamil version and makes changes in the script if necessary.

Mohan Babu is hardly doing films off late. “Since my children are busy with films, I shifted my focus to educational institutions. But, I am doing films when good scripts are coming my way. I will next star in my son Manchu Vishnu’s new film Kannappa. In fact, I am waiting eagerly to work for the film to be produced by Lakshmi Prasanna.”

Mohan Babu also informed to start his dream project Ravana Brahma sometime soon after Manchu Lakshmi completing other home production ventures- Vishnu’s Kannappa and Manoj’s yet to be title flick.

Talking about his re-entry in politics, Mohan Babu stated, “I supported few politicians in the past. I am keeping away from direct politics due to some reasons. However, I will soon make re-entry. I will reveal which party I am going to join only then.”

Megastar Chiranjeevi who is going to attend the audio launch of Pawan Kalyan’s “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” will be using this dais to give an emotional speech about his bonding with his brother Pawan Kalyan.

For once and for all, Chiranjeevi wants to convey the message to mega fans that even with small differences the family will always remain one and he is with Pawan Kalyan in every way. There is a speculation that he will also be using this occasion to talk about political power of his brother.

Audio of “Sardaar Gabbar Singh” will be releasing on 20th March evening at HICC in Hyderabad. Preparations have been done already.

Director Vikram Adittya, fresh out of the success of his Telugu directorial debut “Bhale Manchi Roju”, will team up next with actor Nani. However, everything with regard to this project is still at a nascent stage.

“Talks have been initiated with Nani. A project is on the cards, but it’s too early to comment on the film,” Adittya told IANS.

Currently busy with the script work, he says the project might take off this year end.

Nani, meanwhile, is busy with multiple projects, following the back-to-back success of “Bhale Bhale Magadivoy” and “Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha”.

Baby Shamili who endeared herself to audiences through many wonderful performances as a child artiste made her debut as a heroine with the film ‘Oy’.

The movie failed at the box-office and Shamili too found no offers coming her way. Part of the reason is her unwillingness to appear in glamorous and revealing outfits which has almost become mandatory in the industry today.

She left to do a direction course overseas and is now back with her second innings as an actress. She recently bagged an opportunity opposite Dhanush but soon was left out of the project. The reason once again was her reluctance to expose.

When will Shamili realize that unless heroines entertained the audiences on screen and the actors, producers and directors behind the screen, opportunities would not come her way?

While Prabhas is busy with the filming of Baahubali 2, media is busy in speculating the budget of his next film.

We have been hearing reports that UV Creations is planning to make a movie with Prabhas with an astounding budget of 100 crore? It is an action thriller in which Prabhas plays the role of a stylish cop.

What is the need of spending 100 crore on an action thriller? As our sources dug into the details they have been informed that it is not an ordinary action thriller but a very special one.

The movie will be entirely shot in foreign locales and a top heroine from Bollywood is expected to play the female lead in it.

It will be a multilingual film that will be made in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil to cash in upon the ‘Baahubali’ popularity of Prabhas. So UV Creations is making sure to make this film on a grand scale with splendid visuals and top class technical values.

Plan is to start this film immediately after Prabhas is done with Baahubali 2 so that they could release the trailer of the film by the time Baahubali 2 hits the screens!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s movies are often left with a huge ground to land, as its affect can create tremors around. Other movies irrespective of any language in South, with scheduled release dates with nearby dates usually step back, giving way to Rajinikanth.

Rajini’s new movie Kabali is coming in this scorching summer and already the release date is announced as May 27th. His market is vast in South and his movies get equally good number of theatres on par with a Star hero in Telugu. His film’s business touches 25 crores here too.

Incidentally, Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam’s makers were too in plans to release it somewhere in May. Though they were looking for 6th or 13th earlier and even 31st of May being Krishna’s birthday, the caution from Kabali may force Brahmotsavam to stay away from month end.

Other than Brahmotsavam’s clash with Kabali in Telugu states, Mahesh Babu has to fight for theatres in Tamil for its release over there too. So, Mahesh Babu may want to choose between first or second weeks to avoid trouble with Rajinikanth’s outing in last week.
