Ram Charan Recovers From Bruce Lee Woes
Ram Charan took a short break after suffering a huge failure in the form of Bruce Lee. He would have taken it lightly had the movie been an experiment. Bruce Lee was an out and out entertainer and also had the cameo of Megastar in it. Despite having all the attractions the movie tanked at the box office leaving Charan in doldrums. He had to do some retrospection after that failure and also gave a second thought about the projects he was already committed to.
There were rumors that Charan would drop remaking Thani Oruvan as many believe that it is not a right project for him. However Charan decided to do the remake of Thani Oruvan as his next. Surender Reddy will be directing the movie and Aravind Swamy will play the villain. Shruti Haasan is roped in as the female lead. Hiphop Thamiza who has scored brilliant music for the original is signed up for the Telugu remake as well. Aseem Mishra of Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame will be handling the camera. This movie will start rolling shortly and will be ready for release by next June/July.
Hyderabad Ad Agencies Scared Of KCR!
Fresh from the resounding victory in the by-elections to Warangal Lok Sabha seat, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has begun massive publicity blitzkrieg in Hyderabad, obviously with an eye on the forthcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. Hundreds of hoardings and bill boards have come up in every nook and corner of Hyderabad highlighting the achievements of TRS government headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao in the last 18 months. The hoardings have appeared in the name of TRS, rather than the Telangana government, indicating that the advertisements are being sponsored by the ruling party. The TRS has not left even a single hoarding empty anywhere in the city. This is besides the government advertisements at all public places, buses and crucial junctions.
Normally, advertisement agencies charge huge amounts for putting up hoardings. The charges range from Rs 2 lakh to even Rs 10 lakh per month for each hoarding depending on the location and so, one can imagine the amount the ad agencies would get normally. They, in turn, pay huge amounts as rentals to the GHMC. But now, since the hoardings are occupied by ruling party and the subject is related to government programmes, the ad agencies cannot demand money either from the party or from the government. Since many of these agencies have also been avoiding payment to the GHMC for quite some time, they have no option but to keep silent. They are scared of approaching the ruling party to seek money, say sources.
They Get Doubts on Kapu Commission?
Having understood opposition political parities taking all measures to woo Kapu voters, the TDP government has hurriedly taken a resolution in cabinet meeting to appoint a commission for Kapu reservations. However, opposition political parties are alleging the government has no sincerity initiating this new commission. Moreover, they suspect this commission too would fail as in the case of ‘Puttuswamy Commission’. According to the views expressed by opposition parties, the new commission maybe failed in following manner.
* Initially, a time bound commission on Kapu reservations will be formed with nine months deadline the report to be submitted to the government.
* Later, six or more months time will be taken by the commission to submit the report as per the government’s orders.
* Finally, the report will be submitted by the committee to the government after one and half years.
* The government then sends the report to the union ministry.
* In the meanwhile, the supporters of the BJP and the TDP may file the cases in high courts and Supreme court showing anomalies of the report.
* Eventually, the government tries to impress Kapu voters in general elections, 2019 claiming they had got the credit having appointed a commission for Kapus.
* However, opposition parties seem to be too smart enough predicting the above things to happen and may disclose the strategies of the TDP to the voters.

BJP Reddy Busy With ‘Land Settlements’ In Hyd!
Telangana BJP president and Amberpet MLA G Kishan Reddy came under fire from his own partymen on Tuesday. Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh Lodh along with few other city BJP leaders revolted against Kishan Reddy saying that unless Kishan Reddy is removed from Telangana party president post, BJP will not have any future in Telangana. They alleged that Kishan Reddy has joined hands with land grabbers in Hyderabad and involving in ‘shady land deals’. “Kishan Reddy became so busy in land deals these days that he finds no time to think about the party or work for the growth of the party in Telangana. If party high command continues Kishan Reddy for some more days, BJP will lose its existence in Telangana,” Raja Singh said. He alleged that Kishan Reddy was behaving like a dictator in the party and not consulting anyone or informing anyone about the party activities and this led to severe resentment among BJP leaders and cadre. “Already, Mahabubnagar former MLA Yennem Srinivas Reddy resigned from BJP recently. Few more leaders are thinking of leaving the party unable to bear the undemocratic attitude of Kishan Reddy,” Raja Singh said.
He added that Kishan Reddy took one Madhu Goud, who is a land grabber in the city, into BJP though he and party cadre strongly opposed it. “Only to do real estate deals and settelements, Kishan Reddy took him into BJP against the wishes of party leaders and cadre,” he said. Raja Singh demanded Kishan Reddy to tender public apology to Hindus from on his recent comments on eating beef. “Kishan Reddy said recently that anyone can eat anything and it’s not proper to find fault with someone who is eating beef. He also said he had no objection if Narendra Modi also eats beef. His remarks hurt the sentiment of Hindus. He should apologise publicly to Hindus on this,” Raja Singh demanded. Raja Singh said he lodged a complaint with PM Modi and BJP national president against Kishan Reddy.
