Madras HC’s Relief To Telugu Students
After several months of uncertainty, 17,000 native Telugu students studying in Tamil Nadu schools finally heaved a huge sigh is relief with the Madras High Court’s order. In a much welcomed order, the High Court stated that all the 30,000 minority students studying in Tamil Nadu must be allowed to write their annual exams in their mother languages.
The Madras High Court’s decision gave a fresh hope to the native students of Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Urdu and other minority languages who have been severely distressed with Tamil Nadu government’s compulsory Tamil education GO.
The Madras High Court’s Divisional Bench under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice lashed out at Jayalalithaa’s government following a petition filed by the Linguistic Minority Forum which alleged that the students of minority languages are at the brink of losing a valuable academic year.
In September, Jayalalithaa passed the compulsory education in Tamil GO which made it mandatory for all the minority language students to give their exams in Tamil and not in their mother languages. The decision invited severe outrage and protests from linguistic associations and even political leaders from AP, Telangana and other states.
Comedian Building Temple for Pawan Kalyan
Not long ago noted comedian Shakalaka Shankar has stated on record that he would build a temple for his favourite matinee idol Pawan Kalyan. He said that he is a die-hard fan of Power Star and said he’d do anything for him.
It all happened while doing a skit in Jabardasth show where Shankar projected Pawan Kalyan in Lord Shiva avatar. During then he admitted his admiration for Pawan Kalyan and said that he would build a temple for Pawan.
Now keeping his word, Shankar is building a temple in Srikakulam, which is his hometown. Many would make tall claims but only very few would keep up their promises. Why No Single Nomination For Anushka?
At a time everyone is celebrating both Baahubali and Srimanthudu’s record number of nominations at IIFA Utsavam, the first ever Souther version of popular IIFA awards, there are some disappointments too. If Baahubali and Srimanthudu could get enough of nominations, why there is no single nomination for heroine Anushka is the question of many.
Apparently Anushka’s looks in Baahubali are so stunning but she got dominated by Ramya Krishna’s role. However, her performance and presence in Rudramadevi are a revelation. If the likes of Tamanna (Baahubali), Lavanya Tripathi (Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi) and Shruti Haasan (Srimanthudu) could get a nomination for Best Actress role, why can’t Anushka for Rudramadevi?
Cinema lovers feel that this is utter disrespect to both a historical character. If a heroine has run the show on her shoulders, should she get some encouragement or not? We hear that both Anushka and Bunny are going to walk away with Critics Choice special awards at the IIFA Utsav unlike in these categories.
Chiru Chased By Drunkards On Hyd Roads?
Celebrities getting harassed by stalkers is a thing of Hollywood and often Bollywood stars too fall prey to the stalkers’ menace. However, when someone like Megastar Chiranjeevi himself becomes a victim of a bunch of drunk stalkers, it becomes news.
As per the latest reports doing the rounds in media circles which revealed a bizarre incident that took place a month ago, Chiru was stalked by a group of drunk youths in an inebriated state as they chased his car on the Hyderabad roads around midnight.
Apparently, the miscreants chased Chiru’s car on bikes and shouted and whistled at the Megastar while Chiru was on his way to the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust from Taj hotel. Chiru was reportedly irritated with the drunkards’ behavior and asked his security men to enquire about the stalkers.
However, Chiru showed his kind side towards his harassers as he didn’t file a police complaint.
Aamir Khan’s Words lead to a Big Damage?
It can’t be estimated the damage to be faced by Bollywood’s superstar Aamir Khan with his statement on ‘Intolerance, growing disquiet and despondency in India. According to some media reports, former and current brand partners are thinking about distancing towards Aamir Khan. Yes, Aamir Khan would certainly lose some money through these endorsements. However, this loss is just restricted to an individual looking into a broader perspective. And Aamir Khan, of course, has the caliber to get back all the money and fame ( if it is believed he really lost it) with just a single blockbuster.
But then, the comments of Aamir Khan have led to wide range of discussions across the nation. Hereafter, every move of the ruling BJP at the center will be carefully observed and analysed by every man. If at all the BJP takes any sort of step that encourages the religionism, the party will receive brickbats for sure and gets a great harm done to it politically. Hence, the government must be neutral and should exhibit secularism to inculcate peace and harmony among the people. Wish the government get its eyes opened at least now! And of course Aamir Khan should also be cautious and be balanced with his statements.
Trivikram and Suriya’s Combo Soon!
There has been an enigmatic state on the new projects of ace director Trivikram. The director is currently shooting for ‘A..Aa’ with Nithiin as the hero. But there were several speculations made rounds about the director’s next project.
It was buzzed that Trivikram would make movies with Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan and Mahesh. But then, the stars are getting busier with other projects in near future. Also, Naga Chaitanya was gossiped to be working with the director. But then, no such indications are seen in Trivikram’s camp.
Instead, next project of Trivikram has reportedly been okayed with a Tamil star hero and he is none other than Suriya. It is being said that Radhakrishna, who is regularly producing movies in Trivikram’s direction, has reportedly paid an advance and got the star’s dates booked for Trivikram’s movie. If everything gets materialized as planned the movie will go on sets in the later half of 2016.
