Akkineni scion, Akhil had announced his arrival with bang with his first film, Akhil itself. The movie had taken a sensational opening on its opening day with figures of some areas on par with that of star hero films.

The mixed talk and rains in few areas of Andhra Pradesh did not deter the collections. The film was immensely helped by Diwali holiday effect and the movie made full use of it.

Even before he could even start shooting for the second part of the epic magnum opus Baahubali The Conclusion, buzz is already high on Rajamouli’s next film. While some say that Rajamouli’s next will be a grand celluloid version of Mahabharata, recent reports suggest that Jakkanna’s next will be a 1000 crore spectacle titled Garuda.

In a latest TV interview on the occasion of Diwali, Rajamouli was asked if he is ready to shoot Mahabharata as his next project now that he is being hailed for his brilliance in the monstrous Baahubali. To this, the ever modest Rajamouli replied saying that Baahubali is a small drop when compared to Mahabharata.

The master perfectionist further added that he is not skilled enough yet to make Mahabharata as his next film and that he will need more time to gain expertise in learning the technicalities to make Mahabharata the way he wants to.

Well, one thing Rajamouli made clear with his candid statement is that Mahabharata will surely be an out of the world cinematic experience whenever it releases.

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and its Telugu version, Prema Leela is hitting the marquee today. The movie has got a thunderous opening in Hindi heart land.

People who have watched the film say there are very close resemblances between the film and Nagarjuna’s super hit movie, King directed by Srinu Vaitla. Some even say it is a copied version of King with minor changes to the backdrop.

Prema Leela released in record 350 screens in both the Telugu states, highest ever for a Telugu dubbed film. Mega Power Star Ram Charan had dubbed his voice for Salman Khan’s character in the film but that did not excite Mega fans. The openings of Prema Leela are very dull.

Deterred by back-to-back Box Office failures, actor Ram Pothineni decided to play it safe and don’t want to take any risks in near sight at least till he is back in form. This is what said to have prompted Ram to change the title of his next. Ram’s next, which was initially named as Hari Katha, is now rechristened as Nenu Sailaja.

Apparently, the film revolves around Ram’s lady love Sailaja in the film played by newcomer and hence makers chose to call it as ‘Nenu Sailaja’. Ram, the film’s unit felt Hari Katha is too class title and might not reach masses so named it as Nenu Sailaja. An ofofficial announcement regarding the same is awaited.

Though Ram is talented actor, his previous films Shivam, Pandaga Chesko, Ongole Gitta, Masala have all bombed at the marquee. Ram is taking care of all necessary precautions to make Nenu Sailaja a hit venture. He is now pinning high hopes on Nenu Sailaja. Directed by newcomer, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is producing the film.

Mega producer Allu Aravind has recently tasted a humongous blockbuster with Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. Starring Nani and Lavanya Tripathi and directed by Maruthi, BBM collected more than 25 crore share and brought in 4-5 times the profits to Allu Aravind and UV Creations.

Now, Allu Aravind is all set to remake the film in Sandalwood to remake BBM. Apparently, the Mega producer will join hands with leading Sandalwood producer Rockline Venkatesh, who earlier made Ravi Teja’s Power, Rajinikanth’s Lingaa and Salman’s blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Interestingly, Nani, who earned a great applause for his natural performance in the film along with the ‘Natural Star’ title, will not feature in the Kannada remake as the makers are currently in search of suitable Kannada actors.

From working as a single unit to producing some proud outputs, Rajamouli’s family these days became an inspiration for many. From creativity to their unity, we could derive many good things from this family, that includes Rajamouli, Keeravani, Rama, Valli and others.

The other day, Rajamouli and his brother Keeravani along with their wives, brothers and kids have turned up popular Prasad’s Imax theatres. They watched the morning 8.45 AM show of “Akhil”, to find out how the debuting hero has done in his first venture. What caught the attention of onlookers is that Rajamouli family haven’t got seated in the luxurious sofa seats at the top row, but in the downward rows like all other middle class movie lovers.

Also, they haven’t got their assistants or car drivers to bring them a bucket of popcorn in the interval. The whole family reached on time, and after everyone left the theatre post the film, they left directly to car basement. No starry tantrums and nothing. That simplicity is what makes Rajamouli family special.

Nagarjuna along with director VV Vinayak and main producers Sudhakar Reddy showed their faces before media when announcing the release postponement of ‘Akhil’ quoting the reasons of inferior VFX. Aggressive Akkineni Fans were although dissatisfied with the decision but they were very much on the side of Nagarjuna because Akhil debut film happens to be the biggest event for this Akkineni generation.

In sync, the post production team has tightened the loose ends in climax VFX and ‘Akhil’ release date is declared as November 11. However, Nagarjuna never arrived before media later on either to reveal the release date or speak positive about the overall output. This is one of the biggest promotional lapses that can never be fulfilled. Why is it Nagarjuna stood away from media at the penultimate hour? Does his silence really have any hidden interpretation?

Some say, Nagarjuna was totally upset watching final ‘Akhil’ copy and he knew that the launch was improper. Unable to criticize neither director VV Vinayak nor the producers Nithin, Sudhakar Reddy, he simply walked away blaming himself for the catastrophe. Either ways, there is nothing Nagarjuna and Akhil can do at this late hour because the dangerous first day talk is very much out.

Mahesh Babu is slowly becoming a pro at going all lot to make his near and dear ones feel extra special. After gifting his Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva with a luxurious and expensive Audi A6 car, the Superstar is back in news once again as he has been gifting his friends and family members with a bouquet of sweets, organic mangoes, dry fruits, snacks and what not on this Diwali.

The first one to post a photograph of Mahesh’s Diwali gift is the passionate director Krish, who received a bouquet along with a handwritten note from Mahesh, Namrata, Gautham and  wishing him a Happy Diwali and prosperous New Year ahead.

Incidentally, Mahesh and Krish were supposed to team up for a film titled Shivam, which never got materialized.

Now that it has been a wide spread rumour top director Vv Vinayak would be directing Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much awaited 150th film, there have been intensified discussions on the director after ‘Akhil’s release.

It must be admitted that poor execution and direction played spoilsport for ‘Akhil’ film. But then, it should also be admitted that performance of some of the artists and very poor script are the other reasons to be blamed for movie’s mixed talk.

If at all a right script is provided for Vv Vinayak he might do miracles. Earlier, he had the track record of making an intellectual script as a the blockbuster ‘Tagore’. He might not have lost those capabilities even today. Anyways, it remains to be seen whether Vv Vinayak would be roped in for the most prestigious project of Chiranjeevi or would he be replaced by other director.

Here’s a great gift to all the Indians from the postal department. Soon, the India Post will start a new ‘My Stamp’ scheme where enthusiasts can get their selfies and other important photographs imprinted on postage stamps. This new facility will be made available at all the head post offices across India by year-end.

“A photograph will be scanned to get it converted into a postage stamp. In case one does not have photos, then it will be clicked by the equipment on the spot,” said a senior post master. A sheet of ‘My Stamp’ will cost about Rs 300 and it will contain 12 personalized Rs 5 postage stamps.

What’s more? These selfie postage stamps could also be used for sending letters to friends and relatives. Apparently, this ‘My Stamp’ facility has already been introduced in several countries successfully. In India, this scheme was launched formally for the first time during the World Philatelic Exhibition in New Delhi in 2011.
