Even before the release, Akhil Akkineni’s maiden movie continues to create storm in the tinsel town. The latest we hear is that the launch of Akkineni hero is scaring several leading distributors. According to sources, producers Nithiin and Sudhakar Reddy are quoting big figures to buyers. Although many are interested to buy, due to exorbitant prices, most of them are dropping as there is no choice.

Even we hear that Abhishek Pictures which initially came to buy Nizam rights opted out of it. We hear that the price of theatrical rights in Nizam is quoted as Rs 14 Crore and the price for rights in Andhra is pegged at Rs 17 Crore. Since producers are quoting big prices, several top distributors are shunning away from buying.

Christened as Akhil, ace director VV Vinayak is wielding the megaphone. Newcomer Sayesha Saigal who has roots in Bollywood is making her T-town debut alongside Akhil. The music composed by Thaman & Anup is likely to be unveiled on Sep 20th on the eve of birth anniversary of legendary ANR.

Popular young Malayali actor cum director Sidharth Bharathan (32) was critically injured when his car rammed into a roadside wall near Chambakkara, Kochi, last night at around 2 am. Sidharth sustained severe injuries on his head and legs in the mishap. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Ernakulam and his condition is said to be critical.

Sidharth is the son of popular Malayali director Bharathan (director of Kamal Haasan’s Kshatriya Putrudu) and actress Lalitha. He was married to Anju Das, niece of noted Malayali actor Jagathy Sreekumar, but the marriage ended in a divorce in 2013. Sidharth also turned director and his latest film, Chandrettan Evideya, starring Malayali star Dileep, was a huge hit.

The reasons behind the car crash are still unknown and the doctors are trying their best to see Sidharth out of danger. Legendary Malayali superstar Mammootty and Dileep visited Sidharth at the hospital, while Kerala CM Oomen Chandy telephoned Sidharth’s family members to enquire about his condition.

Ever since producer Dil Raju has registered the title of “Jana Gana Mana”, publicity has took mighty shape that the title is for Powerstar Pawan Kalyan only. Despite the fact that Pawan hasn’t okayed any script, director or any other thing regarding his next project, Dil Raju’s revelations about making a film with Pawan have made everyone think this way.

If we have to talk reality, there is no way Pawan would be starting Jana Gana Mana shooting in the near time. We have Sardaar Gabbar Singh to be wrapped up first. And then Pawan has to okay a story for Dasari Narayana Rao, fix a director, get dialogues written and should get satisfied, in order to put that project on tracks.

Afterwards he has to find the story cooked by Dil Raju and team acceptable for him, then make changes, get dialogue versions ready to take Jana Gana Mana on floors. Meanwhile there are regional politics and national politics to dabble with for our Janasena president.

Amidst all these likely possibilities, will Jana Gana Mana really start or at least takes shape? Going by Pawan’s present mindset and the way his films are going on floors, it’s doubtful.
