This might come across as a rude shocker to all the diehard fans of Kannada superstar and Eega Villain, Kiccha Sudeep. As per the latest reports, Sudeep and his wife Priya are heading for a divorce from their 14-year old marriage. On Friday, Sudeep and Priya applied for divorce through mutual consent citing ‘differences’ in married life.

Speculations about differences in the star couple’s marriage first arised when Priya skipped Sudeep’s birthday celebrations at their residence recently. The couple fell in love with each other and got married in 2001. They have an 11-year old daughter, Saanvi, whose custody will be with her mother and Sudeep has repeatedly decided not to challenge it in the court. As per the reports, Sudeep has even agreed to pay Rs 19 crore alimony to this wife.

Apparently, Sudeep and Priya developed irreconcilable differences after the launch of 360 degree, an event management firm partly owned by Priya became a huge success and Sudeep delivering two successive blockbusters, leaving less time for the couple to spend together.

Reacting to the news of his marriage, Sudeep reportedly said that the divorce was a private affair and requested all his fans and well wishers to respect his privacy in these hard times.

Sold for just 55 lakhs to its overseas distributor, director Maruthi’s latest youthful flick Bhale Bhale Magadivoy did sensational business in entire North America. The film opened in 110 screens in the US and Canada, a highest ever for Nani our Maruthi. Now, the film has grossed more than $1 million, a rare feat only a few directors could manage until now.

So far, only top Tollywood directors like Rajamouli, Sreenu Vaitla, Trivikram and Koratala Siva managed to enter the much discussed million dollar club, and Maruthi joins this elite panel. While Rajamouli entered the million dollars club with Baahubali with nearly $7 million, Trivikram achieved that feat with S/O Satyamurthy. Sreenu Vaitla has 2 million dollar films with Dookudu and Aagadu and finally, Koratala Siva managed the feat with Srimanthudu, which is nearing the $3 million mark.

Bhale Bhale Magadivoy is also the first medium budget film from Tollywood which entered the $1million club. The film also gave a resounding brand to Maruthi now, who successfully erased the ‘boothu director’ stamp on him. The film still looks to collect big in this week, with no big releases and Teja’s Hora Hori failing to create a bang at the box-office.

Pawan Kalyan. Ram Charan. Allu Arjun.  They are Three leading stars from Mega family who could set box office ringing in any season. Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej. These two have good market that could help them click with support from holidays. And what if all these heroes use their weapons all at once?

What is exciting for now is, in coming four weeks there will be four mega films hitting cinemas. Sai Dharam’s Subramanyam For Sale, Varun Teja’s Kanche, Bunny’s cameo act in Rudramadevi and Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee are set for release starting with September 24th to October 16th.

For coming Pongal, Baabai Pawan Kalyan will come with Sardaar Gabbar Singh while Bunny may arrive with Boyapati’s Sarainodu. Varun Tej’s Loafer will also hit screens around Pongal only. And then when will next films of these mega heroes release in 2016?

Pawan, Charan and Bunny haven’t okayed their next films and directors though there are many speculations going on. Only if they okay something by this year end, 2016 Dasara will see their releases. Maybe Varun Tej and Saidharam Tej will arrive with a film or too, but biggies may or may not get a release. That’s what worries Mega fans now.

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker and Sattenapalli MLA Kodela Siva Prasada Rao has met actor Jr NTR in London recently. Kodela who was on a visit to England, visited London and met Jr NTR who is currently shooting for his film Nannaku Prematho in London. On the sidelines of shoot, Kodela met NTR and spoke to him on various issues including party matters.

It’s learnt that Kodela invited Jr NTR to visit his assembly constituency and spread a word about good sanitation, cleanliness to the people of the constituency. Kodela also asked NTR to pay a visit to see the development works carried out by him. Kodela was accompanied by State Forest minister Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy.

Meanwhile, NTR along with director Sukumar, actress Rakul Preet, producer BVSN Prasad and whole unit will soon return to Hyderabad. The music composed by Devi Sri Prasad is expected to be unveiled in October.

The national consumer forum fined a popular multiplex in New Delhi for Rs 11,000 for refusing to allow its customer to take a Rs 20 water bottle during the screening of a movie, and also for not providing free, clean drinking water inside the multiplex premises. The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), in its landmark verdict, said a multiplex may have the right to stop its patrons from carrying a water bottle inside the theatre for security reasons.

“If a cinema hall, while prohibiting carrying of drinking water inside the hall, fails to make potable drinking water available to the cine-goers, it will be an act of deficiency in rendering service to them, they having paid a substantial amount for watching the movie in a comfortable and satisfying environment,” said the NCDRC bench.

The bench gave its verdict following a complaint by three moviegoers who alleged that they were left with no option but to buy water bottle at exorbitant prices at the multiplex’s cafeteria. Stating of Section 2 (r) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, the bench also stated not everyone may be in a position to afford drinking water at such huge price.
