YSRCP Nagari MLA Roja was in for a huge shock from Paritala Sunitha, TDP minister and wife of slain TDP leader Paritala Ravi. In a heated encounter in the AP Assembly this afternoon, Sunitha reminded Roja’s loyalty towards TDP and her departed husband Paritala Ravi, when she was a TDP member.

The minister further lambasted Roja by saying that Roja, during her association with TDP, visited several villages in the Rayalaseema region and even garlanded Paritala Ravi’s photographs and openly said on many occasions that Paritala Ravi was murdered by former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Sunitha made these scathing comments on Roja in a counter to the Nagari MLA’s false accusations that Sunitha and her son Sriram are killing their political opponents in Rayalaseema. Sunitha ridiculed Roja’s allegations after being in a party like YSRCP and further challenged Roja to prove her allegations.

Senior Telangana TDP leader from Warangal, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, came down heavily at the Telangana government for vehemently going ahead with its new excise policy despite increasing protests from women organizations and the opposition parties.

Ridiculing the T-government’s new strategy to boost its revenue by introducing cheap liquor, the TDLP leader said all the ministers must drink the cheap liquor for the first 6 months and only then serve the people. Errabelli lambasted the T-government by asking how can cheap liquor be a safe alternative to the deadly gudumba (illicit liquor).

Further lashing out at the government, Errabelli ridiculed the excise policy saying that it’s a government ploy to turn the people into drunkards, so they forget about the promises it made during the elections. Announcing protests against cheap liquor across all the excise police stations on 3rd September, Errabelli lamented that the government is not considering people’s appeals during the Gramajyothi meetings.

In an unfortunate incident, the scuffle between two students led to the death of one. The incident was reported in a private school in Hyderabad. Going into details, a fight broke between two tenth class students of a private school in Abids on Monday over a petty issue. It apparently started when Siddiqui entered into altercation with his classmate and the duo fought with fists resulting in injuries for Siddiqui.

Siddiqui had been rushed to a private hospital where he succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday. Police are investigating the case that what led to the altercation. The incident has yet again thrown light on the lack of proper care by school managements

Meanwhile, many social activists are also pointing out at the noxious doses of violence depicted in movies which have a great influence on kids, and how parents of students are not aware of attitude, behaviour of their own children. Also equal blame lies with teachers who’re failing to put them on right track. Whatever, the country has lost one bright young boy and the parents of the boy must be going through intense sorrow, grief that no one can console.

The monsoon assembly sessions took an intense turn this morning as the YSRCP MLAs protested in the house demanding the re-installment of the YSR photograph which was removed from the Assembly lounge couple of months ago. The YSRCP MLAs displayed YSR photographs and placards while shouting their slogans during the question hour.

Of these MLAs, Roja was the front-runner who came down heavily on the government’s dictatorial ways in removing YSR’s photograph. Roja said that the TDP leaders wet their pants on seeing YSR’s photograph and that is the reason why they removed it from their sight. Speaker Kodela had a tough time controlling the protesting MLAs and clarified the reasons behind the removal of the photograph.

The speaker then said that there is a protocol which has to be followed before installing any leader’s photograph in the Assembly. Kodela also said that first the Assembly must pass the resolution to install the photograph. Kodela addressed his clarification to the protesting MLAs, apart from the YSRCP Chief Jagan and Congress leader KVP Ranachandra Rao, who wrote him several letters requesting him to reinstall YSR’s photograph.
