Some gossips are so strong in film industry that they are carrying forward from years. Among one such things, the most silently talked and which is being forced on youngsters is that Megastar Chiranjeevi has killed the career of hero Suman, he got him behind the bars such that his own career will take an upward route. Is this true?

On the occasion of his birthday, hero Suman has given interviews to some TV channel. Few enthusiastic young TV anchors who doesn’t even know the proper history of Telugu cinema have dared to ask Suman, if Chiranjeevi has killed his career. An irritated Suman responded fiercely.

“What are you talking? 200% he’s not responsible for that and he’s not such a guy. Chiru is a devotee of Lord Hanuman and he never indulges in such things. In fact, he gave me break by roping me as character artist in his films”, said Suman. Probably that should clear all the air.

Cut to past, at the peak of his career, Suman got jailed in Tamilnadu under goonda act. Many believe that he’s arrested for some other causes, but Suman himself recently shared in Open Heart with RK that a close of aide of our neighbourhood state’s CM is responsible for that. Gossip says, Suman declined to marry his daughter, so he had his revenge.

Bad Luck: NTR Rejected 7 Blockbusters

Film industry is an extremely challenging world where success is hard to come by even for the top of the stars. This stands true in the case of Young Tiger NTR. After a series of miserable flops, NTR bounced back in full vigor with Puri Jagannadh’s Temper. However, if one notices the list of films NTR rejected in his career, one can’t help but feel sorry for NTR’s bad luck.

After a grand success of his debut film Mirchi, writer-director Koratala Siva reportedly narrated the script of the latest blockbuster Srimanthudu, and even waited for several months to get NTR’s nod. However, NTR chose to act in Puri’s Temper and Koratala proceeded with Mahesh Babu and the rest is history.

Going back to the the early days of his career, NTR also rejected Surender Reddy’s debut film Athanokkade, as he didn’t want to act in another mass film after the sensational success of Simhadri. Athanokkade later made NTR’s brother Kalyanram a bankable star in Tollywood. NTR further continued his rejection spree and said a big NO to Surender Reddy’s Kick, which later catapulted Ravi Teja into the big league.

Not stopping here, NTR was also reluctant to act in his Aadi director VV Vinayak’s Dil and Krishna, both the films which gave Nithiin and Ravi Teja their biggest hits in those days. Even Boyapati Srinu was listed in the league of directors to whom NTR said a firm NO. Boyapati Srinu’s debut film Bhadra was first rejected by NTR, which then gave a memorable hit for Ravi Teja. However, NTR later teamed up with Boyapati Srinu for Dhammu, which was an average grosser at the box-office.

The Young Tiger is currently acting in the direction of Sukumar, to whom he said NO for his debut film Arya, which again became a blockbuster and launched a new star in Tollywood, Allu Arjun. While we can’t claim that NTR failed in selecting the right script as he also gave some of the biggest ever blockbusters in Tollywood, we wish that he only scores superhits from now onwards.

What if Nagarjuna turns into a ghost? Already he has appeared in cameos as a God in movies like Vishnu’s Krishnarjuna and now he’s turning to ghost. But a good one indeed. On the eve of his 56th birthday today, let us have a look at this.

Directed by newcomer Kalyan, “Soggade Chinninayana” is an upcoming film of King Nagarjuna that has stunning storyline. In this film, Nag is playing a dual role, a father and son. Twist is that, the one who plays the father role is a ghost who could be seen only by his son.

How long Nag will do these soft comedies? Manam, Intouchables remake ‘Oopiri’ and now Soggade Chinninayana. “Yes, I’m also bored of these soft films. Want to do an out and out action movie with terrific commercial elements. Working out on couple of stories. Will let you know soon”, says Nag, signing off.

Modi to lay foundation for Golden Temple in AP Capital

golden

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu would lay the foundation stone for the first Golden Temple in Andhra Pradesh which will be built by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) on October 22 on the occasion of Dasara. The ISKCON temple will be constructed in 80 acres of land near the Kondaveedu Fort area in Guntur.

A rare 13th century idol of Venna Mudda Gopaludu belonging to the period of Sri Krishnadevaraya was found in the 1998 excavations in Kondaveedu and it inspired ISKCON to build the temple with an estimated 200 crore budget in the land donated by the State Endowments Department. The authorities have already built the cow sheds and started rearing the cows at the Gosala.

ISKCON is planning this ambitious temple on par with the Amritsar Golden Temple and Sripuram goddess Lakshmi Golden Temple and turn it into a major tourist attraction. The temple dome and the sanatorium would be coated with pure gold and an international school, a religious theme park, Kondaveedu Museum, a Vedic school, a medical centre and a cow protection centre will be built in the temple complex.

Superstar Salman Khan is biggest mass hero in India with huge fans following across the country. Nonetheless, one policy of Salman made him fans frenzy in families too. For Salman, the concept of onscreen lip-locks doesn’t really excite him; hence he’s been loyal to his ‘no lip-lock’ policy in movies. Likewise, Salman implements the policy to his production venture too.

The romantic entertainer directed by Nikhil Advani had a scene where the lead pair lying atop a truck when Sooraj lovingly pulls out a blanket on them and then he kisses her. Finally, the much awaited Lip to Lip Kissiyan song from upcoming Bollywood flick Katti Batti has been released today. The song has been in news for the last few days as the film’s lead pair, Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut locked their lips for 3 straight days over 24 hours to shoot for the song.

Now, there’s something more exciting than the song. The makers of Katti Batti have announced a Kissing contest as part of the film’s promotions. 50 lucky couples will be invited to participate in the Kissing contest which will be judged by the actors Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut themselves and they will award the winners with exciting prizes.

While this unique promotional strategy is turning everyone’s attention towards the film which is due for a release on 18th September, one wonders if the moral policing in the country would even allow the contest to take place. In the west, kissing festivals are much celebrated in many countries, but India is yet to catch up with it.
