Now, Telangana Demands Special Package

Following the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise to AP CM Chandrababu over granting the state a special package, the Telangana CM KCR is readying himself to meet the PM and others to discuss about announcing a special package for Telangana.

Speaking about his Delhi visit before his China tour, KCR said in a press meet in Karimnagar that the state government must have written 50 letters to the PM asking for special package. The CM said that he had met Modi on six occasions and also the Union Minster of Finance Arun Jaitely but his requests have not been considered yet.

KCR said that he will also request the PM to implement the provisions mentioned in the AP Reorganization Act. The Telangana Government also plans to ask for a raise in the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) limit from 3% to 3.5%. Currently, Telangana government can take loans upto Rs. 14,000 crore. With a possible raise, the government can take more loans to cater to a wide range of its welfare schemes.

Music director arrested for kidnapping minor girl

Budding music composer Saketh Sairam alias Sheikh Syed Hussain was arrested on Wednesday by Tanuku police. Saketh was taken into custody and booked on the charges of kidnapping a minor girl. Going into reports, Saketh had attended a wedding in Undrajavaram on May 22 where he befriended 15-year-old daughter of his another friend. Luring her singing offers in films, Saketh said to have taken her to Hyderabad and stayed with her for few days. With her daughter going missing, worried parents lodged complaint with police after inquiring about her whereabouts with all closed ones, neighbours.

However after few days, the missing minor girl surfaced and reached her parents in Katrenikona village. Breathing sigh of relief, parents didn’t want to make it issue as their daughter returned safely. But this said to have didn’t gone well for accused Syed who again visited Katrenikona and lured her of offers and took her to Hyderabad.

This time, Syed locked her in one of the lodges in Hyderabad after which he shifted her to one of his friends Kiran’s house in the city. Police stepped into action and finally traced the whereabouts of Syed and the abducted minor girl. After interrogation, Syed admitted his mistake of kidnapping minor girl. Cops have booked cases against accused and submitted him in the court. Court gave a 15-day remand to accused.

Claiming as protege of Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Saketh said to have worked for 17 films across different languages. He also rendered music for national-award winning film 1940 Lo Oka Gramam. With the arrest of Saketh, the burning topic of sexual harassment on women in Telugu film industry yet again came to fore. Cops said that Saketh is accused of several such cases.

Pawan Kalyan to lock horns with Jil Villain

Earlier we have informed you that Pawan Kalyan is introducing a new villain in his next film, Sardaar Gabbar Singh. And now the movie had new addition in the baddie gang. The makers have roped in Jil fame Kabir Duhan Singh for the role.

He will join the movie shooting in the next schedule which will begin in Hyderabad in September first week. Kajal Agarwal is also expected to join the shoot in this schedule as well. We have recently got an official announcement of Kajal playing the female lead.

The makers have charted non stop schedules for the movie to complete it by December as the movie is being planned for Sankranthi 2016. The first look of the movie is expected on September 2nd as Pawan Kalyan’s Birthday Special.

What’s Holding Rudhramadevi Back?

Telugu Cinema is flourishing with stupendous hits like Baahubali, Sreemanthudu. However, this is only one side of a coin. On other hand, several films, including big-ticket films are lying in cans and struggling to have a release. Gunsekhar’s Rudhramadevi is classic example for the latter case. After seeing lot of dates for its release, Gunasekhar announced that the movie would hit the screens on Sep 4. And yes, he did fail again to keep his word and the movie is not seeing the light of the day as planned. The latest reports have it that the movie has been postponed to a later date which has not been finalised yet.

Buzz is that director-producer Gunasekhar owes money to several financiers including PVP. Until he clears the pending dues, he couldn’t release Rudhramadevi. With the movie being delayed and delayed, the interest rates for the debt said to have been piled up drastically and this is a worrisome. It’s learnt that Gunasekhar spent a bomb on the film by risking all his assets and it goes without saying that this film is his life. Such a big-budget film lying in cans and not able to see the light is definitely a sad state of affairs.

Meanwhile, fans of Anushka Shetty are disappointed and venting their anger on director Gunasekhar for not releasing the film for longtime. Though Anushka’s Baahubali: The Beginning was released, she confined to de-glam role as Devasena and even her up next film Size Zero (Slated for Oct 2 release) has Fatty Anushka and hence all of her fans are eagerly waiting to watch Rudhramadevi. Touted to be India’s first historical stereoscopic 3D film, many expected that the film would cash on the Baahubali’s success. It seems, Guna missed the bus again. Now, what’s the next probable release date for Rudhramadevi?

In a stunning new twist, Sheena Bora, the young lady who was allegedly murdered by Indrani Mukerjea, founder of a popular national media house and wife of media honcho Peter Mukerjea, is said to be the daughter of Indrani as against the previous claims that she was Indrani’s sister. In the ongoing police interrogation, Indrani reportedly confessed to her crime of getting her daughter killed.

In 2012, Indrani and her driver Shyam Manohar Rai killed Sheena and dumped her body near a farmhouse in Raigad. the driver was recently caught by the police in an illegal arms case and during the interrogation, he confessed to numerous other crimes, including Sheena’s murder. Cops recovered Sheena’s decomposed skeletal remains and booked Indrani on the charges of murder.

Speaking to the media, Peter Mukerjea, Indrani’s husband, said that Indrani could not digest Sheena’s affair with his son Rahul Mukerjea. However, Indrani’s estranged son Mikhail Bora alleged that Indrani had been telling him since 2012 that Sheena had left for a foreign country and that she was not in contact with her due to work pressures. Both the husband and son of Indrani hoped that law will give them the justice.

 

Will Return All The Lands to farmers: Jagan

YSRCP President and leader of opposition YS Jagan said that his party will come into ruling in Andhra Pradesh very soon. In his protest in front of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) in Vijayawada this morning, the YSRCP Chief lashed out at the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s government against forcible land acquisition in the capital region.

Jagan alleged that Chandrababu’s government is forcibly acquiring multi-crop lands and that when the farmers filed a case in the National Green Tribunal, the government falsely stated in its counter file that the acquired 2000 actress of lands do not yield multi-crops.

Jagan further said that his government will return all the lands back to the farmers once it comes into power. Lambasting further, Jagan accused Babu saying that he failed to keep his election promises of  one job per house and unemployment pension and that Babu completely subsided the special status to the state and that he has happily agreed to centre’s proposal of special package.

Jagan concluded saying that YSRCP will continue its fight for the welfare of the farmers till the end and that Babu is trying hard to stop them from carrying out the state bundh on 29th of this month.

‘Drunkard KCR Encouraging Alcohol’

Telangana TDP leader Shobha Rani lashed out at CM KCR for his tyrannical ways in making cheap liquor flow across the state, much against the cries of the state’s women. Shobha Rani accused the CM saying that KCR is a drunkard and that is the reason why he is encouraging the Telangana men towards drinking.

Citing the Minister of Excise T Padma Rao’s controversial press meet flashing liquor bottles, the TDP’s woman leader said that the minster is acting as a brand ambassador for the state’s liquor policy. Shobha Rani further warned KCR government of a counter attack by women with brooms.

The TDP firebrand woman leader also appealed to all the political parties in the region to unite and fight against KCR’s excise policy and even called for statewide protests on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of September against the introduction of cheap liquor.
