From film industry, “Happy Independence Day” wishes just flow on August 15th. Not many are wishes, but actually promotions of the film. Especially looking at the poster of this upcoming film, one has to feel so.

Here comes director Ramesh Varma’s latest movie “Abbaitho Ammayi”, whose promotional poster that wishes a Happy Independence Day could be seen flashing all over the media on this occasion.  Well, at least on this eve, the director would have left the lip kiss and come up with something related to country.

Or, he should have simply hidden his lead-casting (Naga Shourya and a new girl) and made a poster. One wonders what made this director of films like Ride and Veera come up with a lip-kiss for Freedom.

Not just Ramesh Varma’s movie, many other makers too tried to cash on the spirit of India today. A sad thing indeed.

Ending his long hide and seek with media, Sunil is back. The actor’s first look from his upcoming film Krishnashtami has been unveiled on the eve of Independence Day. Sunil, who is essaying the role of NRI in the film, is seen in a rugged look with short beard. Sunil has been going through rough phase.

His previous films Mr Pellikoduku, Bheemavaram Bullodu tanked at box office without a trace. He is now struggling to make a comeback and pinning all hopes on Krishnashtami.

After debacle of Naga Chaitanya’s Josh, Vasu Varma is back to calling it shots. ‘Dil’ Raju is producing the film. Nikki Galrani and Dimple Chopade will be seen as Sunil’s romantic interests in the film. Kona Venkat has provided the story for the film. The business of the second part of India’s biggest motion picture Baahubali has kickstarted already. Rajamouli’s close friend and one of leading producers cum distributors in Tollywood Sai Korrapati has purchased the Karnataka rights of Baahubali The Conclusion for an astronomical price.

Sources say that the deal has been finalised for an exorbitant price, following the sensational success of Baahubali in Karnataka and elsewhere. In this all inclusive deal, Sai Korrapati will be releasing Baahubali the Conclusion in Telugu, Tamil and even Hindi, across Karnataka through his Vaarahi Chalana Chitra.

Released on 10th July, Baahubali ended up as a huge blockbuster in Karnataka and netted close to 45 crores, a record even tough to break by many Sandalwood top stars. Interestingly, Sai Korrapati also bought the Karnataka rights of Baahubali’s first part. But he sold off the rights to another distributor named Srinivas to a hefty amount. By purchasing the second part rights so early, Sai Korrapati indirectly stated that he will be keeping the rights to himself this time.

How celebrity’s reaction in interpreted in media is always a debate. Because they always argue that media is destroying the information in the name of ‘spicing’ it up. That stunned sensuous beauty Samantha Ruth Prabhu today.

In fact, Samantha was trying to say that Anushka is also known as “Amazing”. Here the ‘aka’ she used is an acronym for ‘also known as’. But few Tamil media houses termed that as “Anushka akka amazing” and published stories that Sam called Anushka as sister. Poor Sam took to twitter to clarify that she hasn’t called that heroine as sister.

Since Srimanthudu’s premise is in line with PM Narendra Modi’s brainchild initiative ‘Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana’ and Telangana government’s signature programme ‘Gram Jyothi’, Mahesh’s Srimanthudu is considered as good bet to watch it on silver screen for this Indpendence Day eve.
