Rana Daggubati is back to his roots. Not many know that Rana produced a children’s film called Bommalata much before he ventured into acting. After gaining nationwide popularity with Baahubali, Rana will once again don the producer’s hat. Even bigger news is that Rana has joined hands with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar to produce a telugu film titled Poster Boyz.

Poster Boyz is an official Telugu remake of Marathi hit comedy with the same name. The film will feature new star cast and Gopi Ganesh, who earlier directed Sairam Shankar’s Romeo, will direct the film with popular writer Darling Swamy assisting him in the writing department.

Rana and Akshay first teamed up together for the blockbuster espionage film, Baby. Their friendship has now taken a new turn with this joint production. On the other hand, Rana, coming from the most illustrious film producing family in Tollywood, will surely come up with a successful project.

They are two big Hollywood names. We couldn’t imagine English films that have made us without remembering the martial arts and comedy stunts put on by Jackie Chan. At the same time, youths of the 90s still die for the hotness of ‘Basic Instinct’ fame heroine Sharon Stone. And guess what these two stalwarts are going to do today?

On Friday evening, both Jackie and Sharon are very likely to watch ‘Srimanthudu’ movie. Yes, you read it right. Apparently there is ‘Festival Of Globe’ annual event that happens in USA, where the organisers honour cultures of various countries along with screening films and other cultural events. On the opening day of this festival which is happening in San Jose, California, from August 7th-16th, ‘Srimanthudu’ movie will be screened as the first flick to inaugurate the movie night, exactly at 8.30 pm at Camera 12 Cinemas.

Hollywood celebrities including Jackie Chan and Sharon Stone are attending the event while Ileana and Neha Dhupia would also accompany them. Definitely Mahesh Babu will be enthralling those international and NRI audiences with his charms, while Shruti gives them an ultimate kick anyway.

Whenever a new film of big star is releasing, there is this talk about trade numbers and how much the film is going to amass finally. While the pre-release numbers sound true in 90% of the cases, its the predictions that boomerang always with 50-50 chances. Let’s see what trade circles are buzzing about ‘Srimanthudu’.

From last two films, Mahesh Babu’s trade is always touching that 50 crore mark. This is in terms of theatrical rights that are sold to worldwide distributors. At first ‘1 Nenokkadine’ did a pre-release business of 53+ crores excluding satellite and remake rights. Then, ‘Aagadu’ over took it slightly by heading up to 56+ crores.

However, these two films disappointed distributors as they failed to collect even 3/4th of their investment. And now, ‘Srimanthudu’ got sold out to Andhra, Nizam, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Overseas for approximately 59 crores, including Telugu and Tamil version. Almost all these above said three films have nearly same numbers to recover from box office.

Expectations on this flick are so high even now, though Mahesh tried to prepare his fans and audiences right from the starting that this is a message oriented commercial cinema. Anyway, the burden of 59 crores rides on the film now, to paddle Srimanthudu distributors to shores. Wish Mahesh succeeds big time.

There is a limit to do fun, but one fake/original profile of a so called lady journalist is worrying Telugu fans now. Apparently this lady named Kiaara Sandhu, who is said to be a Dubai based film journalist who settled in London, and now working as editor of Indian Cinema Magazine UAE, always makes fun of total Indian films.

Recently she shot to fame by claiming that Baahubali is just an average film which fooled Indians by claiming as biggest motion picture. She rated the film with 2 Stars out of Five. Her tweets went viral and every Indian film lover started discussing about her.

Though some social buffs proved that she’s a fake journo who resides in Pakistan and spreads venom on Indian movies, film lovers got seriously hurt by her comments. And now for Srimanthudu, she rated the flick with 5 for 5 that too a day earlier before it was screened.

Surely her tweets are quite disturbing even this time, because fans can’t digest if her rating doesn’t stand true. Meanwhile, Mahesh fans are waiting to catch billionaire Harsha in theatres and then they will spread the real talk of the film. Stay connected for updates.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is all set to greet his fans within just a few hours with Srimanthudu. And in Tamil, Mahesh  turns up as Selvandhan, which is also releasing tomorrow. Day before yesterday, Mahesh was in Chennai to launch the audio album of Selvandhan and floored all the Tamil stars and journalists present at the event with his fluent Tamil.

Here’s more to Mahesh wooing the Tamil thambis. When one of the scribes asked Mahesh which actor would he like to share the screen space with for his straight Tamil film, Mahesh promptly replied, Vijay. Not many know that Mahesh is an admirer of Ilayathapathy Vijay, and they both were supposed to act in a shelved Tamil-Telugu bilingual called Ponniyin Selvan, in Mani Ratnam’s direction.

In his interview with Trivikram and Samantha during Memu Saitham event, Mahesh even praised Vijay’s performance in Kaththi. On the other hand, Vijay successfully remade two of Mahesh’s blockbusters, Okkadu and Pokiri as Ghilli and Pokkiri, both superhits in Tamil as well. Well, even fans of both the stars will also be waiting for this awesome collaboration.
