A few days later when the engagement ceremony  of Ram Charan ,both the Pawan and NTR bonded well with each other. AP’s powercut problems !

0
In our State power cuts have become routine even n the best of times, there are no scheduled power cuts, there will be plenty of  unscheduled power cuts.  In spite of  us reeling under scarcity of power we  are witness to strings of lights burning for decorative purposes.  Also several advertisement hoardings use bunches of high power lights. In times of terrible scarcity should such uses not be prohibited?

In the good old days, street lights used to be of filament lamps.  These have given way to fluorescent lamps.  We now have sodium vapour lamps, and the streets have bright illumination with SV lamps burning every few yards, with saturation lighting. EVERY ALTERNATE SV LAMP ON THE ROADS CAN BE REMOVED WITHOUT INCONVENIENCING ROAD USERS AND AFFECTING SECURITY CONCERNS

The DISCOMs are advising householders to use CFLs and are even giving them out free on our surrendering filament bulbs.  Why not the same CFLs be used for street lights?  At  least  half the SV lamps can be replaced with CFLs  without adversely affecting the public’s comfort

Is success ensured in Mani’s Partition Plays?

0

Marvelous director Maniratnam who seems to have lost his sheen with his Rawan and Kadali failing to impress movie lovers is now going back to olden days. Mani who highlighted emotional bonding in his superhit films like Roja and Bombay, both of which based on terrorist and riots backdrop, is hoping that film on Indo-Pak partition is the right way to get back on success track.

But one wonder whether people still appreciate such films as many films came on that subject and even decades have passed. Mani is already getting ready with the project and roped in Rensil who scripted stories of Kurban and Rang De Basanti to script story while he is on hunt for the star cast.

Will films survive with out special songs?

0
Long time back film industry turned commercial and with that the differentiation between heroines and vamps vanished. From then on heroines used to star in item numbers thus helping film makers do away with item girls. There are lots and lots of item songs and as the word item looked mass, they coined a new word, special song. However right after Delhi rape incident, all guns are trained on heroines and their special songs and some NGOs even filing cases against heroines. But one wonder whether atrocities against women stop if one do away with special songs?

That is another topic to discuss but now that censor board decided to award A certificate to films with special songs, one thing is whether film makers budge and do away with special songs or family or movie lovers stop watching A certificate films? A question arises, whether any film can survive with out special numbers. One can not forget the impact generated by the songs like — Kevvu Keka (Gabbar Singh), Bangaru Kodi Petta (first in Gharana Mogudu and now in Magadheera), Ringa Ringa (Arya 2) Ippatikinka Na Vayasu (Pokiri), Aa Ante Amalapuram (Arya)… the list goes on.

People especially masses on whom film industry is thriving will surely stay away from films if they don’t contain item numbers. They get the desired kick with gang of men amorously latching at the item girl . The hot sizzling and seductive movements not that even foreign babes gyrating to the music is something they love. Thanks to director K Raghavedra Rao, throwing fruits, marbles, flowers and even birds on the heroine’s navel, even as the camera pans into the spot in slow motion, has become a benchmark of aesthetic erotica on screen. Little wonder then that we have songs where actresses’ body parts are compared to everything from fruits, spicy non-vegetarian dishes like kodi pulusu, chepala pulusu and all sorts of nonsensical words like lapaki, kasakku used to cat-call the lady in question.

Unless until sea change comes in the mindset of film makers and movie lovers nothing will change.

T-Cong Reps fit for nothing !

0
When Telangana movement is in full swing, all T -MPs and MLAs roar like lions. They bark infront of media in AP and state that their lives are not important than Telangana. They fly to Delhi where they develop cold feet. This used to be the common practice. However now even in AP, it seems they lost their courage to react.

Union Minister Vayalar Ravi commented that Telangana is not a dosa which could be granted instantly. When Ravi made such insulting remarks not even one T Cong Rep opened their mouth. This shows for what they are in Cong and people at least now should see their real intention.

One wonder where Kesava Rao, Damodar Reddy or other ilk and what they are doing. People are ashamed of these political leaders and are waiting to teach these fit for nothing leaders a fitting lesson in the next election.

Can King stall young superstars!

0
In Tollywood, Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Natasimha Balakrishna, Victory Venkatesh and King Nagarjuna used to rule the silver screen in their own limits. While Mega Star Chiranjeevi used to be undisputed Emperor, the other three supported him in the role of Kings.

During this time the entry of Young Tiger NTR who scored three stunning hits ignited a debate whether he will be the heir apparent. Later he slowed down and at the same time
with Prince Mahesh Babu and Mega Power Star Ram Charan picking pace, silver screen is witnessing bitter battle for no one.

In the midst of all this Mega Star Chiranjeevi big good bye to films and Natasimha Balakrishna following him, the onus is on King Nagarjuna to keep yesteryear great flag flying. This is because Victory Venkatesh is confining himself to family entertainers and also preferring multi starrers

Only King Nag tried different genre of roles right from Rajanna, Damarukam, Shirdi Sai and now Greeku Veerudu and Bhai. Movie lovers are wondering whether King can fly
yesteryear great flag high stalling the march of young stars like NTR,Ram Charan,Mahesh Babu etc.
