While the entire film industries are celebrating the complete exemption of Service tax on films, the clarification issued by Finance Minstry hit their hopes very badly. A press release by the office of Finance Minister P.Chidambaram clarified that the exemption is only limited only to movies exhibited in cinema halls.The actors still have to pay 12.36% as already in the force.
 

So, the concern is back to square one as levying of Service Tax on actors inflates the production costs exorbitantly as nearly 60 per cent of the production costs of any film go towards remuneration of actors and technicians.

Comedian turned hero Sunil’s Mr.Pellikoduku opened to divide talk today. The actor will begin the regular shooting of his next film under the direction of Uday Shankar. This film was stalled for a couple of months ago and is back on track now. There is also a news that he had okay-ed a movie by a new comer, Vikram Siri who earlier worked under VV Vinayak.

 And now we hear that Popular Gopi Mohan who is one of the successful writers in industry is going to direct Sunil very soon. The script for this combination is reportedly ready but Sunil is yet to take the final call. If the project with Gopi Mohan gets materialized, the movie will go on to floors towards the end of the year.

National award winner Priyamani is treading the path of experimentation. She is reportedly playing the role similar to that of Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Filmnagar sources say the movie is about a reluctant woman politician who is forced to step into politics to save the sagging fortunes of her elder brother’s party after his mysterious death.

The movie unit had already completed its first schedule of shooting. The second schedule of the movie is currently underway. Senior director V.Samudra is wielding megaphone for this big budget film. SR Shankar is composing music for this high budget film. The movie is being produced by G. Srinu Babu under his Omics creations banner.

Amir Khan’s niece Imran Khan  acted with Anushka Sharma in the film ‘Maatra ki Bizili Ka Mandola’. There is a kissing scene between Imran and Anushka . Anushka is acting as heroine in the movie ‘Pikey’ and the hero is Amir khan. There is a talk in Bollywood that there is another kissing scene between amir and Anushka. This picture is being made under the direction of Raja kumar Hirani.

In this film, Amir Khan is in the getup of Rajasthani people. In this film Sanjay Dutt is also playing another role. On the other side in the movie ‘Bang Bang’ the Hot  scenes are getting to be ready on the film actors like Hrithik Roshan  and Katrina Kaif.  This movie is coming on screen  on the base of Hollywood cinema ‘Knight And Day’

Manchu Manoj  is busy with his five new projects.  Manoj told that he is not doing Sai Ratna creations movie.Which he signed for five projects are to be done in 2013. He said that he will try his best to finish them up by this December.last year Monoj had only two  Telugu films releases. Manoj  had heavy expectations on  the ‘oo..kodatara…. ulikkipadatara’ film but he got disappointed a lot with this film.

In past few years it has been noticed that she has upped her oomph factor and sex appeal in a large way. In films like ‘Badrinath ‘ and ‘”Racha”  Tamanna oozed her oomph .

Mahesh Babu’s fans will have in special treat on the star’s birthday, if everything goes according to the plan. The producers of Mahesh Babu’s current film are planning to release the movie on his birthday, which falls on 9th August. The yet to be titled film’s production is progressing briskly. Mahesh Babu is reportedly plays a college lecturer role in the film. 

Mahesh Babu’s son Gautam Krishna is reportedly making his filmy debut as child artist in the movie. A new comer Kriti Sanon is pairing up with Mahesh in this movie. The Union Finance Minister P.Chidambaram had announced that the entire film industry will be exempted from paying the 12.36% Service tax to the government.The entire entertainment and amusement services industry has been placed in the negative list of sectors which are not required to pay the tax. Finance Minister also specifically stated that service tax would not be charged on film copyrights.

Exemption from the Service tax is one of the long standing demands of Film industry. Film industries across the country have protested several times on this issue and finally all their efforts paid off. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce had thanked the government for this movie and saving the already burdened producers.

Comedian turned hero Sunil had celebrated his birthday today at Devnar School for the blind at Begumpet, Hyderabad with visually impaired students. He has also donated a cheque for Rs 2 lakhs to Devnar Foundation.
