Mirchi all set for Censor next week

Young Rebel Star Prabhas who disappointed fans with his last outing Rebel is all set to enthrall fans with Mirchi next week. The entire shooting activity of the movie was completed a long ago and now the post production activities of the movie are complete too. The first copy of the movie is expected to be ready today or tomorrow. The makers of the movie had booked a slot with the Censor Board early next week. The movie is expected to get the biggest release ever for a Prabhas movie when it releases on February 8th.

Mirchi is the debut directorial movie of famous writer Koratala Shiva and produced by Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati jointly on the banner of UV Creations banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer of the movie. This film also stars Brahmanandam, Satyaraj, Aditya menon and Satyam Rajesh in other important roles.

Kamal Hassan tired in legal battle

Kamal Hassan seem to be tired in the legal battle against Vishwaroopam ban. Up on the re-appeal of the TN government, Madras High court had stayed the Single bench Judge’s interim order of revoking ban on Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam. The further hearing in this case were postponed till 6th February, meaning Vishwaroopam will not hit the screens at least until next Wednesday. Kamal’s lawyer  pointed out that delaying the release further would lead to a terrible financial crisis for Kamal Haasan but his argument went in vain.

Legal experts have advised Kamal to go to the apex court for justice. But the actor had ruled out knocking the doors of Supreme and decided to settle the issue amicably through dialogue across the table. He is now meeting the Islamic groups objecting the movie and even offered to trim few objectionable scenes in the movie.

Naga Chaitanya relies on remakes for success

Naga Chaitanya’s career is currently in doldrums as all his recent movies Dhada, Bejawada failed miserably at the box office. So, thje young gun seem to be banking on remakes to steady his career. He is currently eying on three remakes – Vettai (Tamil), Welcome (Hindi) and Charminar (Kannada). And now the buzz in Tollywood scuttle butt machinery goes that he is reportedly impressed by a Kannada movie titled ‘Charminar’. While the project is not confirmed officially, sources say there is a good chance of this movie making to sets.

Charminar is an upcoming romantic drama written and directed and produced by R. Chandru featuring Prem Kumar and Meghana Gaonkar in the lead roles. The film deals with the life of a man in comparison with the famous monument Charminar in Hyderabad, that shows four important pillars including family, friends and lover.

Reports suggest Conrad Palmisano and Markos Rounthwaite are currently supervising the action sequences in which Prince is taking part. Kriti Sanon opposite Mahesh Babu. 
The movie is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara under their 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music, while R Rathnavelu handles the Cinematography for the film, which is scheduled to be released in June 2013.

Chennai local court has lifted ban on Vishwaroopam but Kamal couldn’t have this happiness for long time that Tamil Nadu government has given a quick shock to Ulaganayagan by appealing in Chennai High court for a review petition against the movie alleging that it has anti-religious perception. As per the Chennai talks, Tamil Nadu government seems to be ready to approach Supreme court to ban Vishwaroopam, if they get negative judgment in Chennai High court in favor of the movie. It is clearly understood from these incidents that Jayalalitha government is so stubborn to wreck the movie in Tamil Nadu.
 
On the other side, Tamil Nadu ex-chief minister Karunanidhi in support of Kamal Hassan questioned why the government is trying to stop the release of the movie in Tamil Nadu? He also averred that, Jaya politics has even entered the film industry. Karunanidhi even raised his voice through the questions “Is this ban due to Kamal selling the rights to DTH? Or is the ban due to Kamal commenting that Chidambaram has the eligibility to become the PM?”

KVP playing internal politics in Congress

KVP.Rama Chandra Rao was the close associate and a best friend to late Y.S.Raja Sekhar reddy. Recently senior congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V.Hanumantha rao has made comments on KVP alleging that though working in Congress, he is supporting YSR CP. He suggested other leaders to identify weather KVP is doing good or bad to the party and he is even misleading the high command. Even warned, that CM should be beware of people like KVP who are playing double game in the party.

Indian idol insulted in Andhra University

Sri Ram Chandra won the prestigious Indian Idol 5 award in 2010. This singer is going to be seen as a hero in his upcoming film ‘Prema Geema Jaantha Nahi’. Film is under shooting, currently completing its schedule in Andhra University. It was heard that, Sri ram and his film unit were kicked out of the University by students while the shooting was going in University library.
 
Angry students argued with film unit saying their studies are getting disturbed by the shooting hue and cry in a place like library and the shooting must not continue. Film unit argued back showing they got the permission from University, but the agitators didn’t listen saying that film shootings should not happen in Schools, colleges, Hospitals and in government offices, instead they can work on sets in studios.
 
R.V.Subbu is directing this film, while Dadi Bala Bhaskar and Muddala Bhaskar are producing the film. Movie is expected to be a youthful romantic entertainer.

SVSC started breaking records

Long awaited multi starrer film ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle chettu’ has started creating records as everyone expected after its release with the record of highest collections in overseas. Now it has created another record in the form of Satellite rights. From the time of its release, there has been springing up market for its satellite rights. Many channels were competed to bag its telecast rights, but SUN network that had upper hand in buying this kind of films got the rights of SVSC too.
 
Another film in the Sankranthi race ‘Nayak’ has sold its satellite rights for seven crores. It has proved that family movies and clean films always run high at box office than the mass masala commercial films. As per the industry trades and the way film is running in all areas, there is an expectation that it is going to be the first Telugu film to cross the 100 crore mark.
 
Let’s wish ‘Seethamma…’ to create more wonders.

Nag meets Nimmagadda in jail

‘Yuvasamrat’ Akkineni Nagarjuna once again met his industrialist friend Nimmagadda Prasad in the Chanchalguda jail here on Wednesday.

It may be recalled that Nimmagadda was arrested in connection with the Vanpic scam that has ramifications with the illegal assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Nagarjuna met Nimmagadda during the Mulaqat time. The actor met Nimmagadda earlier in June, July and October. In July he met Nimmagadda and gave him Prasadam of Shirdi Sai Baba. He had told the media that he wanted his friend to come out of the travail.

Then reports claimed that Nagarjuna had invested in the Vanpic projects. One English newspaper wrote that Nagarjuna had invested heavily in the Matrix Export Holdings Pvt Ltd. of Nimmagadda Prasad.

According to that report, Matrix Export Company mentioned that Nagarjuna owned two lakh shares of the value of Rs 10 each in the balance sheet submitted to the Registrar of Companies. The newspaper said Nagarjuna tried to withdraw his shares. Whereas in Maa TV, it was said Nagarjuna, Nimmagadda and Chiranjeevi owned 80 percent of the shares. Of these, 30 percent were purchased by Sony Pictures Television Company in April last. Nimmagadda is the chairman of Maa TV.

No deadline for ‘T’

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Wednesday made it amply clear that there would be no more deadlines in resolving the Telangana issue.

Speaking to the media, the Union Home Minister reiterated that the Centre was seriously engaged in working out a solution to the contentious separate Telangana State issue. He reminded that the Telangana was a very sensitive issue and hence the Centre was treading cautiously by continuing the consultation process. Therefore, there would be no more new deadlines to resolve the problem, he added.

When reminded that he himself had fixed one month deadline after the all-party meeting held on December 28 and yet the problem continues to remain the same, Shinde observed that the issue was very sensitive and all efforts were being made to find a solution. Now there would be no new deadlines in this regard, he added.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Congress MPs, who arrived in the national capital this morning, said they had come on the invitation of Union Minister and AICC general secretary in-charge of AP affairs Vayalar Ravi. Since they had already explained their stand on the Telangana issue umpteen times, they would only listen to what the Union Minister says but would not indulge in any dialogue, they observed.

The T MPs said they would accept nothing less that a separate Telangana State and if there was no positive response from the Central leadership in this regard, they would meet AICC president Sonia Gandhi and submit their resignations. Since it has been often told that the issue could be resolved only through discussions and consultations, we have come here. But we will not talk anything except listen to what Vayalar Ravi says”, they added.
