One of the crazy combination of the year finally goes to sets today. It is the first schedule of Young Tiger NTR’s latest movie under the direction of Harish Shankar. The shooting took place in the Pent house of a private building in Somajiguda, Hyderabad. The introduction fight of the hero in the movie will be canned in this schedule. Harish Shankar had done enough home work on the script and going to present NTR in a college back drop in the movie, a role which the actor did not portray for a long time.

Thaman is composing tunes for this movie. Dil Raju will be producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara films banner. Samantha is one of the female lead. Regina is being considered for the other role. Chota K Naidu is handling the cinematography. The movie is being planned for a July 9th release.

Every one in the country are agitated with the incident When the whole Nation is fighting against the brutal gang rape of Nirbhaya, Ace filmmaker Sekhar Kammula had decided to take a step forward and contribute his part towards this. He started “The campaign — ‘I React’ to fight the heinous crimes committed against women. He called for people to react and asked them not to even a single atrocity against a woman.

The idea is simple — volunteers register for the protest by wearing an ‘I Care I React’ badge on every such day when somebody witnesses an act of aggression against a woman. Initially, the plan is to rope in professionals from all walks of life using the web as a medium. Lets wish this campaign becomes success and bring a new ray of hope in the society!

He tweeted, “Had the pleasure/previlage of watching @RGVzoomin playing a dutiful father at revathi’s reception. What a sight!!!! Ha ha ha ha.” Rajamouli confused the engagement with reception; nevertheless it’s nice to know about the soft side of this soon to be father-in-law Ramu.

It looks like Tamil star Karthi’s Bad Boys is out of Sankranthi race. The makers have earlier announced that the movie will be releasing for Sankranthi release along with the Tamil version, Alex Pandian.  Couple of big budget films (Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Viswaroopam and Nayak) are gearing up for Sankranthi release. Even their promotional activity has gathered momentum. But Karthi’s Bad Boys is mute on all fronts.

With big movies occupying theatres it would be difficult for Bad Boys to get enough theatres. Let’s wait and watch if Karthi’s Bad Boys will even participate in the Sankranthi release race with the other biggies.

Now Tollywood is going to make a film on the tragic story of Nirbhaya. Filmmaker Allani Sridhar is supposedly planning to make a film on the unfortunate Delhi gang-rape incident. The film will probably be bi-lingual.

The heinous crime which has brought the common man to the street has been criticized and condemned by all. Even Tollywood has decided to join in this and capture the incident on the large silver screen. The director and producer Allani Sridhar has decided to make a film based on this gang-rape incident and the protests following it. He recently revealed this an interview to the Hyderabad Times. He said “I’m making a movie based on this incident and the script is being worked on. I’m not treating my film the way a normal commercial movie is treated. I want to convey a message to the youth.”

Sridhar has made many successful movies to his credit. He had directed the historic movie Gautam  Buddha. He had also made a film on a real-life freedom fighter Komaram Bheem who had fought against the Nizams. The movie was also called Komaram Bheem.

Sridhar is definitely aware of the sensitivity of this issue but said that in order for the message to reach the mass viewers especially the youth, he will be adding a few dramatic sequences. He is planning to hire the cast for this movie from the National School of Drama, New Delhi as feels that theatre actors can easily do justice to such roles.

The sexy Tollywood female actor, Priya Anand, is again going to do a lip lock in her upcoming movie.Priya is all set to do a lip lock with her co-star Sharwanad in the movie Ko Ante Koti.

It seems that Priya has also joined the group of female actors like Samanta, Tamanna and Priyamani,who are the bold brigade of Tollywood. However, Priya says that she just wants to experiment woith the different kinds of characters that she can essay. She also said that she is not aping anyone or attempting an image makeover for the purpose of getting work.When asked about the how her family feels about her intimate onscreen sequences, she said that her family does not react to it at all. She has essayed many grey characters in movies and her family liked the one where she played the role of a conscience keeper.

For this movie, she had not asked for any remuneration because she merely wanted to be associated with this fresh team. But her co-star Sharwanad , who is also the producer of the movie did pay her to her satisfaction.Though the actor does not have any Tollywood movie in her hands, she has few Bollywood movies. She didn’t get much recognition for her performance in Sridevi’s English Vinglish but she is not bothered as she wants to improve her acting skills and not stardom. For now, she has Rangrez with Priyadarshan and also Fukrey with Farhan Akhtar.

You think Ohmkar is back to TV. Are n’t you? But sorry to disappoint you. You are mistaken. He is all set to begin his second movie and this time he is going to direct Angry young man Rajashekar. The movie reportedly is a political thriller. The project is reportedly confirmed and will go on to sets very shortly. More details on this are expected very soon. Raja Shekar is currently having a lean period with no hits in the recent past. Lets see if this combination will get a break same time!

Ohmkar’s debut directorial movie ‘Genius’ is currently in theaters. Sadly, the success of the TV star is not reflecting in the movie despite the best publicity and promotion. The movie which was made with a budget of 11 crore will possibly end with 70% loss.

Yesterday, we have published a story that Viswaroopam may enter Sankranthi race and make life difficult for Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu in acquiring theaters. And it is now officially confirmed that the Universal hero is in race for Sankranthi. In the worst case scenario, Kamal Hassan’s movie will be releasing in 200 theaters in AP and some 400 at least will be occupied by Nayak. That will make things very tough for Dil Raju in getting theaters for SVSC. There is also a possibility of postponing the movie for good too.

The shooting of SVSC is complete and is now in Post production phase. Srikanth Addala is the director of SVSC, the family entertainer casting Samantha and Anjali as the leading ladies and Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Brahmanandam et al in prominent roles. Mickey J. Meyer composed the musical scores while KV Guhan is cranking the camera.

Universal Hero Kamal Hassan’s Visawaroopam had gone through the Censor scissors on Wednesday and was awarded U/A certificate by the Regional censor board. The Tamil and Hindi version had already completed the Censor formalities With this the movie is all set to hit the screens on January 11th in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Earlier, Kamal Hassan had opted out of Sankranthi race in Telugu but is back in to business due to the pressure of Dasari Narayana Rao. Dasari’s Siri media will be releasing the movie through out AP. The movie will also have a DTH premiere hours before the theatrical release.

The movie directed and enacted by Kamal Haasan himself features Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Rahul Bose, Shekar Kapur in key roles. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are the music composers.
