Deepika-the hot favourite for award functions

The sexy lass Deepika Padukone is being approached by many organizers to perform at award functions.

The songs of her movie Cocktail had topped the charts, especially Angrezi beat sung by Yo Yo Honey
Singh. This song has become very popular and Deepika is being bombareded with ofeers to dance
on this song. Deepika’s spokesperson said: “She has been approached to perform to Angrezi beat.
However, Deepika still has to work out her dates.”

Sources revealed that many organizers want to rope in Deepika to perform on this song at the functions.
While some want to recreate the song’s setting on the stage for the performance, for others Deepika
may even don the same look from the film.

Deepika is currently busy shooting for her upcoming movie Ram Leela with Ranveer Singh. She also has
Race 2 releasing in 2013 and Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan.

He felt that of the present generation stars only he could do the role and entertain movie lovers to the core. Now it has to be seen which film maker will dare to remake Chantabbai.

Remaking yesteryear hits is a difficult job as people tend to compare both the films. Now the question is can ‘Allari’ Abbai entertain as ‘Chantabbai’?

It is an open fact that Choreographer-turned-Director Lawrence Raghavendra is a die-hard fan of Rajinikanth. He is reportedly planning to give a special birthday gift to his matinee idol on December 2012.

Lawrence is making arrangements to unveil a special album dedicated to Superstar on his birthday. “I am one of those crores of fans of Superstar Rajinikanth. I have a high regard for him and he is really a wonderful human being. I want to dedicate a special album for Rajini sir on his coming birthday, which is very special (12-12-12). Music director Vijay Antony is composing the songs and it will be like a big treat for all his fans. It’s my gift to the Superstar,” he revealed.

Speculations are ripe that Lawrence was doing so to draw the attention of the superstar and to bag the offer to direct a film. His last outing Rebel bombed at the Box Office, incurring huge losses to the producers.

Chiranjeevi, the Union Minister was in Hyderabad to flag off the 10k run attended by  politicos, celebrated sports persons, athletes from the city and abroad. As the whistle was blown to flag off the run, thousands of Chiranjeevi fans thronged the dais to get a glance of their favourite actor. They shook hands and took autographs from him.

Yeto Vellipoindhi Manasu Release date

Nani’s upcoming movie ‘Yeto Vellipoindhi Manasu’ had completed its shooting formalities long ago. The movie was delayed by more than three months due to several issues like Samantha’s illness and finance problems. The post production activities of the movie is going on at brisk pace and is almost complete. The movie will now hit the screens in December 14th

Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film is being made simultaneously in three languages- Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. While Jiiva is the hero of the Tamil version, Nani replaces him in Telugu and Aditya Roy Kapoor is the lead actor in the Hindi version. But there is no change as far as the heroine is concerned, as Samantha is doing it in all the three languages.

Meher Ramesh is one of the very few directors who got the luck chance of directing big projects and finally squandering them by making duds. He is now directing Victory Venkatesh in Shadow. The shooting of Victory Venkatesh’s Shadow is progressing at brisk pace. The movie had recently completed a major schedule in Ramoji film city. Currently the shooting is going on in and around Hyderabad. After missing the Sankranthi season, the makers of the movie are planning to release the audio of the movie in January and the movie will hit the screens during Siva Ratri.

Tapsee is playing the love interest of Venky. Srikanth and Madhurima will be seen inimportant roles. Parchuri Kireeti is producing the movie on United movies banner. SS Thaman is rendering the music.

Every one in Tollywood know the importance of Sankranthi season for a movie release and to make it for that favourable season, the entire unit of Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu are working like dogs to complete the movie shooting and release the movie. Mahesh Babu, the lead role in the movie had dedicated the dates of this entire week for Vivel and Royal Stag ads. These shootings will take place in Mumbai. A song on Mahesh and Samantha will be shot in Pune in the first week of December. The audio release is planned for December 13th.

Srikanth Addala is the director of SVSC, the family entertainer casting Samantha and Anjali as the leading ladies and Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Brahmanandam et al in prominent roles. Mickey J. Meyer composed the musical scores while KV Guhan is cranking the camera.

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Sociofantasy offering Damarukam has released after much drama and controversies, but the entire episode finally had a happy ending with the movie becoming good success. Going by the intial trend, the movie is all set to become the biggest grosser in Nagarjuna’s career. TRS chief KCR who remained silent for more than two months chose to roar in a huge political meet at Suryapet in Nalgonda district. TRS feeling the heat with TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu and YSRCP leader Sharmila promising to bringback  Chandranna and Rajanna rule chose to hit them back saying they are the biggest cheaters of telangana.

He launching a scathing attack on both the parties chided them for promising to bring back Chandranna and Rajanna rule branding them as the biggest looters of telangana region and their lands. He reminded people to that they have experienced and suffered under both the rules for 9 and 8 years respectively. Now they have to come out of their shackles and throw these two parties in bay of bengal.

He asked people they should fight for the telangana rule and not get carried away and vote for Chandranna or Rajanna rule. He said both these rules are marked by farmers suicides and now these parties leaders are taking people for a ride telling cock and bull stories.

How TDP and YSRCP leaders respond to KCR’s allegations has to be watched and whether people are convinced by these words should be seen.

Christians to back Cong?

This may come as surprise but political analysts say christians may back Cong across the nation as they feel Cong is the only party that will keep BJP at bay. More shockingly christian associations are persuading christians not to back YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh. They say protection to their rights are important and it is possible only in Cong rule.

They are getting ready to organise meetings across the country and in meeting when people raised slogans in support of YSRCP the organisers turned angry. They are of the opinion that YSR did not do enough for christians and even Vijayamma is insulting Bible by carrying it with her. Even National Minority Commission VC Sangliana who was present in the meeting asked the organisers not to politicise the issue and said Jagan single handedly can not do anything in the state as the issue is pertaining to entire nation.

It has to be seen how far this news is true and whether christians vote enmasse to parties just like muslims. Many are of the opinion that YSR did a lot for their community.

Jaipal-Kiran war on new heights

Political analysts and people are witnessing silent battle between CM Kiran and Union Minister Jaipal Reddy. Yesterday for the Metro Rail second line projects launch CM Kiran did not invite Minister Jaipal triggering war of words between the two groups.

Jaipal’s supporters are up in their arms and feel that CM Kiran intentionally insulted Jaipal by not inviting him to the opening function. CM Kiran however washed off his hands, stating he never invited any one but promised to look into Jaipal’s issue.Lagadapati speaking on the issue blamed the officials for the faux pause.

However this is not the first time Kiran-Jaipal rivalry came to the fore. Even on the issue of gas allocation both are at loggerheads with Kiran accusing Jaipal of selling gas belonging to Andhra Pradesh to other states without considering the needs of the people.

But their rivalry reached new heights with Kiran supporters branding Jaipal Reddy group as ‘Jai Gang’ while Jaipal supporters terming Kiran as ‘Varalaabbayi’. It has to be seen where all this rivalry between CM and Union Minister will lead to. Already Cong in State is faction ridden and Cong High command can ill afford another rival factions.

YSRCP-T-20 Match to TDP’s Test Match

When YSR who led Cong party to victory singlehandedly in 2009, expired in a tragic plane crash, many in Andhra Pradesh expected seasoned politician of the caliber of Chandra Babu Naidu will make his TDP to fill the vacuum and void created. However political situation changed drastically with Jagan, son of YSR, came out of Cong for greener pastures. Along with YSRCP and TRS which aroused the telangana sentiments suddenly, started gaining momentum at the cost of TDP and Cong fast fading into oblivion.
 
Now TDP MLAs who are fast losing hope on party fortunes are heard commenting that while its main rival opposition party YSRCP is planning its strategies and playing its games like T-20 match, while its party is still lagging behind playing like test match even when the 2014 elections are fast approaching. MLAs are heard commenting that just like test matches are fast losing peoples attention,even in politics people are running after parties who are planning their strategies aggressively just like in T-20 matches.
 
It has to be seen how TDP president Chandra Babu Naidu reacts to these comments from his MLAs and what steps he will take to restore confidence.

TRS expands YSR

TRS party for long holds a personal and political grudge on former CM YS.Rajasekhar Reddy. Though TRS entered into alliance in 2004 elections and KCR even became Union Minister in ruling UPA Govt, he never enjoyed the company of YSR, CM at that time. Later TRS switched sides in 2009 elections and fought against YSR and Cong in 2009 elections.

After the elections YSR with his operation Akarsh planned to wipe out TRS by joining all its cadre in Cong and he was largely successful before his tragic death. KCR sometime back commented that only YSR was the stumbling block in telangana formation and if not he can achieve telangana with in 100 days. True to his words he made center come out with December 9th statement exactly on the 100th day after YSR’s death.

Now yesterday TRS leader K.Taraka Ramarao expanded YS.Rajasekhara Reddy, lovingly and more popularly known as YSR as Yamudu, Saindhavudu and Rakshasudu. He went on to brand YSR as a thief who snatched away lands of telangana people and robbing them off their livelihood. Now it has to be seen how YSRCP and its family members react to TRS party’s allegations. Till recently many thought that TRS and YSRCP are in collusion with each other but now YSRCP finding great response even in telangana region, TRS is having change of thoughts.

King, Collection King’s Chanchalguda connections

Ever since the arrest of YSRCP president YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad became the most popular visiting spot not only for small and big politicians who want to make it big in politics but also top tollywood heroes. One can see King Nagarjuna and Collection King Mohan Babu paying visits to Chanchalguda jail. Though they say they have come to meet Nimmagadda Prasad, CEO of Matrix labs already suspicions are raised and speculations are rife that they are meeting YS.Jagan in a secret manner.

It is a known fact that Akkineni family and Manchu family benefited a lot during late YSR regime and they can not forget all those favors which Jagan is quite aware of. They know that Jagan is a force to reckon with and will not forget them who deserted him and will not sleep until he see their end. TDP on Friday alleged that both King Nag and Collection King Mohan Babu met Jagan and they have concrete evidence with them. They said from May 29 till date 134 persons had met Jagan.

Many are already wondering what could be the Nag and Mohan Babu’s chanchalguda connections.

Praveen Sattaru is back with another Love entertainment flick after LBW.
Story –
Sanjay (Sundeep) and Tanvi (Regina) become friends on a condition that the latter should agree to love the former in six months. After six months feelings towards each other changes and what happens to their love story is what this film is about.
Performances –
Sundeep is natural. He is very good in the confrontation scenes with Regina. He is a decent actor with loads of confidence. Regina is the show stealer. She has good looks and can act well. This combination is a rarity in Telugu films. She can go miles if she picks right films. MS Narayana’s comedy is okay and Vennela Kishore did a cameo. Tagubothu Ramesh is fine and rest of the star cast played their parts well.
Technical Performance –  
As this is a love story, the colors are vibrant and it has cool locales. Art department and Camera department gelled well. Dialogues are alright and editing is adequate. Technical crew has been led by Mickey J Meyer’s music, which is the major asset for this film. Production values are good.
Director did a decent job in ably handling his resources. He has a different style and approach towards film and that is evident in all the scenes. His debut film scores on the content front and this one falls short of expectations, especially for the people that have seen LBW.
Analysis –
Director opened the story in a funny flashback format which is nice. Hero’s approach towards love and Heroine’s clarity have been explained well. First half races ahead until the interval point and later on it gets stuck for a while.
This is a typical story that doesn’t move ahead and fixes to a point and moves back and forth. Dealing with such subjects is a huge risk. Director challenged himself, but couldn’t come out with desired results. Last half hour of the film didn’t click as the comedy scenes and the climax backfired.
Despite the short comings, Routine Love Story scores due to the freshness in narration and good performances topped by cool musical score. Audiences who love to watch routine films with different approach can watch it. RLS appeals to young audience.
Verdict: Can be watched once

Film making for Party Ticket

Currently politics and films are going hand in hand and though this phenomenon is nothing new, now a days industry’s association with politicians is increasing with every passing day. Film makers are of the opinion that if they are in good books of politicians then there won’t be any problems for their businesses in future. However if they aspire to contest for elections on the party ticket, with these contacts then it may not be possible.

Sometime back Chengala Venkatrao made a film with Balakrishna and got TDP MLA ticket in return impressing the hero. Similar is Kodali Nani who made films like Samrakshakudu, Saniihitudu,Samba, Adurus before becoming MLA. However now days have changed.

While Vallabhaneni Vamsi is also planning to take the same route but is having doubts whether Chandra Babu gives green signal as party president or not. However Vamsi is planning to make two to three films with Simha Balakrishna who is currently concentrating on politics with out doing any films. In that way atleast he can make some profits impressing fans.

Bus Stop brings no smiles

When genex viewers started viewing Maruthi’s directed Bus Stop starring Prince and Sri Divya many hailed him for scoring another hit after Ee Rojullo hit. This made Maruthi go over the moon and he even started challenging critics who are baying for his blood for filling the film with third grade ‘A’ rated not even double meaning but pretty straight vulgar dialogues.
He went on to mock them questioning whether he exposed heroine’s assets and glamor or some other thing which is quite common in other films.

However according to trade analysts Bus Stop did not bring much smile to Maruthi except for the fact that he bagged golden offer under Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts banner. Since the film Bus Stop has been branded as B grade adult film, family viewers stayed away from theaters. Though it got good openings no one is confident of steady collections.

This is the reason why Maruthi is trying hard to promote his film by various means in various channels. However since the film is a low budget film, producer is in safe zone.

Flop Tarak trying for Success Sixer

Tarakaratna from Nandamuri Family has been assaulting Tollywood silver screen with his films in search of hits. However though he tried his luck changing his name to NTR in his previous venture Nandeeswarudu, nothing worked for him.

However he is now coming with many films like Chudalani Cheppalani, Eduruleni Alexander, Vijetha, Nenu Chala Worst, Bhakta Siriyala, Mike Testing 143 and others. It is still surprising how he is getting film offers inspite of his films continuously bombing at box office.

Now he is donning the role of Yama which is immortalised by his grand father and great actor NTR. Many are commenting how he agreed to star opposite such short heroines like Madhavi Latha, Swetha Basu Prasad.

Tarak is on signing spree without thinking of the roles whether it is blind, dumb etc. Many are heard commenting that irrespective of his hits, he is filling his pockets with his remuneration.

Friendship drowns Venkat

Dr.Venkat tasted success in film making introducing his friend K.Atchi Reddy by entertaining movie lovers with good films. However their combo did not click when they entered film distribution with much fanfare. Their financial management failed with sources saying the gains they made when the films grossed profits evaporated when they bought the distribution rights of outside films.

Sources reveal that Achi Reddy trying to make his friend and noted director Krishna Reddy happy by planning a hollywood film affected their business. They planned to take Aahvanam in telugu to hollywood as Divorce Intentions on RR Movie Makers banner. Huge amounts of money got stuck in this project.

Analysts feel Dr.Venkat trying to be good to others and friends by distributing others films, trying to make Hollywood films affected his business and especially Damarukam badly.
