Horror vs Humor battle tomorrow

Tollywood silver screen has seen many fascinating battles and tomorrow it will be witnessing a fascinating battle between horror and humor flicks. Four to five films are hitting the screens tomorrow and they include Ravi Babu’s thriller ‘Auvunu’, Vennela Kishore’s ‘Vennela 1.5’, ‘Ambuli 3D’. Priyamani’s ‘Charulatha’ and ‘Em Babu Laddu Kavala’.
Of all the releases Priyamani’s Sandalwood dubbing film ‘Charulatha’ is attracting the attention of all as she is starring as conjoint twins in the film for the first time in her career. Many feel no other actress starred in such a role and even Priyamani feel that she can get another national award with the film. In the mean time tollywood actors turned directors Ravi Babu and Kishore are engaged in a mini battle. 
 While Ravi Babu is coming with a thriller ‘Auvunu’ to scare away people, Kishore who is popular for his film ‘Vennela’ is coming with a sequel for the film ‘vennela 1.5’. Sudigadu beauty Monal Gajjar is the added attraction in the film. While Vennela Kishore’s film is a hilarious ‘A’ rated entertainer Priyamani and Ravi Babu’s films are horror thrillers. In between small film makers are coming with their own threat on silver screen with ‘Ambuli 3D’ and ‘Em Babu Laddu Kavala’. It has to be seen who will emerge winners on silver screen.

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is rated as world’s most powerful lady not for nothing. She is a very wily and cunning politician who can outwit even the most seasoned and experienced male politicians most popular in the country and for her state politicians are tiny tots and toddlers. For long TRS chief KCR and Cong T representatives are extremely hopeful that an announcement will be coming from Govt of India, over telangana formation. However they underestimated the power of Sonia and even the situation the Govt was in at that time. UPA was in neck deep problem of Coal Gate and when everyone thought that Congress will be drowned in Coal scam, Manmohan Govt prodded by Sonia sprang a surprise with the decision to increase petroleum product prices and also announcing FDI investments in retail sector. 
Even when Mamata Bannerjee of Trinamul with drew her support, the T MLAs and MPs are not stopping hovering about telangana word from Sonia. However many know about their abilities as they have become popular as paper tigers. Sonia a wily leader as she is scripting T cinema fooling telangana people, making her puppets Damodar Rajanarasimha act as if he is the champion of telangana with his group of cronies and at the same time encouraging Janareddy and others. It is better for t protagonists to see through Sonia’s sinister designs on telangana.

Cong Govt in AP is facing a peculiar situation as one of the minister Mopidevi Venkata Rama is languishing in jail while other five ministers are facing tensions over the 26 GOs they issued during their regime with late YSR at helm. With Dharmana Prasada Rao tendering his resignation after his name included in the CBI charge sheet and with the court even issuing summons asking him to appear in person, heat is on the remaining four ministers.
Many eye brows were raised when CM Kiran and his Govt decided to offer legal aid to the tainted ministers drawing from the money paid in form of taxes by people. Now the ministers are huddled in discussions as to how to file their counters in Supreme court over the notices they received some time back. They even met CM Kiran over the whole issue of GOs and even Vanpic case.Ministers feel that they followed the business rules and did not commit any mistake while issuing GOs. They say if they are treated in this way no one will come forward to become ministers in future. Going by their argument, the whole case on Jagan and YSR will collapse altogether.
They decided to fight it single handedly replying in person individually but after consulting with each other over the content of replies. But many political analysts are predicting dooms day for them whether unitedly or singly. It has to be seen what will be the fate of these ministers Ponnala Lakshmayya, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Sabita Indra Reddy and Geetha Reddy.

Postponements lessen movie lovers’ interest?

These days Tollywood movie lovers are witnessing many films getting postponed on one pretext or the other. The most common reason many cite is the unforeseen delays during post production of the film. This year movie lovers witnessed delay right from the month of January. It all started with Mass Raja Raviteja’s Nippu and all his other films like Daruvu and Devudu Chesina Manushulu got delayed many times. Even Natasimha Balakrishna’s Adhinayakudu competed with Mass Raja Raviteja’s film and at one stage there were even doubts whether the film would see the silver screen at all or not. Finally the film got released after many unwanted delays resulting in evaporating of all interest generated in the film.
Even Sunil’s Poolarangadu and Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Julaayi got delayed for some time. Sekhar Kammula’s life is Beutiful got delayed for a day while upcoming mass entertainers and high profile projects like Rebel,Damarukam, Cameraman Gangato Rambabu are swinging back and forth with their release dates. Film makers cite graphics, DTS work the reason behind the delay of their projects while some cite lack of planning on the part of film makers. Some film makers delay their projects gauging the performance of the films that were released the previous week. However film makers should bear in minds that delays in films evaporate interest of movie lovers.

NTR shakes legs for Badshah title song

The title song ‘Baadshah, Baadshah’ of Young Tiger NTR’s upcoming movie Baadshah is currently being picturized in a pub at Hotel Park Hyatt, Hyderabad. The song is a racy number and will have superb dance moments in it. The first look teaser of the movie is being readied with a dialogue ‘”BAADSHAH decide ayithe WAR one side avuddi. “

NTR and Kajal are playing the lead roles. Navdeep and Kelly Dorjee will be seen in negative roles in this action entertainer. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat are writing the script along with Sreenu Vaitla. Thaman is composing the music. The entire film unit is confident that the film is going to be a massive blockbuster. The film’s shooting is going to be wrapped up in mid December and Ganesh Babu is planning to release the film on January 11, 2013.

Nitin who is a big fan of Pawan Kalyan has titled his next film on the lyrics of Pawan Kalyan’s latest hit Gabbar Singh’s Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. This film will be launched today on the eve of Vinayaka Chaviti.
This film has Nitin (hero), Nitya Menen (Heroine), Sudhakar Reddy (producer) and Anup Rubens (music director) from Ishq movie. Andrew handles cinematography. Vijay Kumar Konda is making his debut as director with this movie.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan is all set to shake legs with Babai’s heroine. Going in to details, Shruti Hassan who paired with Pawan in Gabbar Singh will dance with Ram Charan in a saucy item number for Naayak. The makers of Naayak have roped Shruti on board shelling out a hefty sum and waiting for her dates to shoot the song.
The next schedule of Naayak will begin from 20th September in Hyderabad. The makers are planning to release the movie for Sankranthi, 2013. Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul are acting as the female leads. VV Vinayak is directing the movie while DVV Danayya is producing the movie under Universal movies banner.

English version of Barfi!

Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana starring Barfi is doing exceedingly well at the box office and is improving its BO potentiality every day. The movie had got good ratings from the critics and is also in the Film federation short list for Indian nominations to Oscar. And now the director Anurag Basu had been toying the idea to make the English version on the movie to reach out non Hindi audience. The movie was screened in Pusan and Marrakesh film festivals. The only reason it isn’t at the Toronto Film Festival is because the makers were too busy releasing the film worldwide to take it to Toronto.
The makers are considering the idea of adding subtitles to the Hindi prints and will also dub the movie in English and release with some prints in selected areas.

Kamal’s Viswaroopam pushed to 2013

Kamal Hassan’s forthcoming film Vishwaroopam which was told to be releasing for Diwali this year has been pushed back to January 2013. According to reports, the reason for the delay is that Kamal wants to introduce the revolutionary Auro 3D sound format, which enhances the sound quality in the film.
Wilfried Van Baelen who pioneered the Auro 3D technology, came down to Chennai earlier this month to supervise and assist Kamal Haasan in his plans. Only George Lucas’ latest Red Tails, has made use of the Auro 3D technique. Sources also say that Kamal Haasan is in talks with various theater managements in Chennai to convert to Auro 3D sound.

Vishnu battle ‘Ready’ with King and Power Star

The film directed by Puri Jagannath delayed its scheduled release from Oct 11th and the new date is Oct 18th. The film stars Tamanna and has the tunes of Manisharma. The very next day King Nagarjuna is coming with ‘Damarukam’ along with Anushka. The film is directed by Srinivasa Reddy. Devi Sri Prasad’s deadly music and Charmi’s item number is the added attraction.
It has to be seen how Vishnu tackle these high profile films and emerge victorious. Many feel that if Vishnu learns from his previous mistakes then success wont be difficult for him as he has all the talent in him to make it big on tollywood silver screen.

Hooligan Harish Rao shunted from US?

TRS chief KCR’s nephew many feel is less of a MLA and more of a Hooligan. His acts puts even hooligans and road side rowdies and stone throwers in among youth to shame. Many say he returned from US but some feel due to his hooligan acts he might have been shunted out of the country. One wonder how could be such a law abiding person in US and overseas when he never misses an opportunity to break laws and defy authorities bringing shame to Assembly and people who elected him.
Yesterday he broke mike in the presence of Speaker who is presiding the Assembly and came out to attack Loksatta leader Jayaprakash Narayan. This is not the first time Harish Rao indulged in such acts. Couple of years back he led attack on Jayaprakash Narayan in front of Assembly and he narrowly escaped action making his driver scapegoat. His hooliganism reached even national media when he assaulted and kicked an employee in Andhra Bhavan at state capital New Delhi. He is trying to wriggle out of the SC ST atrocities case by falling at the feet of the employee.
It is shame on Harish Rao who is justifying his hooligan ways by bullying others. Some day he will soon find his match.

Chiru’s political duet with Roja & Vijayashanthi

Mega Star Chiranjeevi after merging his Praja Rajyam with Congress, is never loosing an opportunity to express his wish to be anoniated as CM of Andhra Pradesh or Cabinet Minister at Center. However his words are falling in the deaf ears of Cong High Command which is currently busy to save its UPA Govt at center with Mamata Bannerjee withdrawing her support.
Chiru in any meeting or function is always sending subtle and indirect signals to Cong saying that his fans wish him to see as CM of AP. But when Sonia fulfills his dream is to be seen but in the mean time he may be soon seen in political romantic duet with yesteryear star beauties Roja and Vijayashanti who are now fire brand leaders of Cong bitter rivals YSRCP and TRS.
Chiru may not have romanced with both Roja and Vijayashanthi simultaneously in a single film though he has romanced them in many films. Now his dream of romancing both simultaneously will be fulfilled on political silver screen even before him becoming the CM of AP. But it has to be seen as to how he will be handling these hot firebrand leaders.
Both Roja and Vijayashanthi are never losing an opportunity to mock Megastar making fun of him with fiery statements. They even went to the extent of branding him as impotent. However now that Cong is in talks for some kind of understanding with both their parties it will be interesting how these two hotties handle their yesteryear Supreme Hero, who used to tease them on tollywood silverscreen.

KCR “T” delayed with Owaisi building bridges!

When ever Telangana people expect some decision in favour of formation of separate state the developments at National level politics will pour cold water on their aspirations. TRS chief who after waiting for signals from Sonia, finding none flew to national capital Delhi to snatch his long delayed ‘T’ meeting Sonia. In the process he even drew a master plan to heat up the atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh capital Hyderabad with his long time buddy Prof Kodandaram and his TJAC. But Sonia did not offer him Telangana ‘T’ party with Mamatha Bannerjee and her TMC decided to end power supply of all forms to UPA Govt.
Now desperate Sonia and its Cong high command , entrusted the task of building bridges with its disbanded MP and all powerful chief of YSR CP founder YS.Jagan who is languishing in chanchalguda jail, to MIM leader Asauddin Owaisi. So Owaisi is in secret talks with YS.Jagan as Cong is keen on saving its Govt at any cost and even planning its strategies well in advance to come to power in any eventuality. As Asauddin Owaisi is against giving ‘T’ cup to KCR, it is a known fact that KCR’s ‘T’ and formation of telangana will be a myth which only Almighty can answer.

Botsa Satyanarayana seems to be landing in trouble in Vijayanagaram’s liquor mafia case with AP High Court directing ACB to come up with investigation reports and progress in the case. Botsa with his clout and political power stalled the raids of ACB in his constituency though raids were on across entire AP. He even influenced the transfer of ACB investigating officer but now with High Court stepping in trouble is looming large on him.
Whenever in trouble as was seen in Vasishta Vahan case, some how Botsa manages to wriggle out using his strong influence making many wonder how could CBI not find even a single proof against him. This time however with High Court directly stepping into the investigation he may find it difficult to come out of it.
When ACB heat was on many felt that he would be shunted out of his PCC post and Minister portfolio. However with his influence and closeness with Cong High Command he managed to save the day for himself. It has to be seen how the current developments effect him and how it will be used to their advantage by his political rivals. But Botasa with his family of politicians others are no match for him.

Denikaina Ready in October

The Shooting of Manchu Vishnu’s latest film Denikaina Ready is complete. Currently, the post production works of the movie is going on in full swing. The music scored by Chakri and a couple of music directors will be launched in this month.
Hansika is paired with Vishnu in this film. G Nageswara Reddy directs this movie. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat provide screenplay. BVS Ravi is involved in story expansion. This film is presented by Vishnu’s twins Aviana and Viviana. Mohan Babu produces it on 24 Frames factory banner.

Ram Charan to resume Naayak

The latest schedule of Mega power star Ram Charan’s upcoming action entertainer Nayak will be held from 20th of this month in Hyderabad. Charan is currently in Vishakapatnam shooting for his other movie, Yevadu.
The unit of Naayak has recently shot the remix version of ‘Subhalekha Rasukunna’ on Ram Charan and Amala Paul in Iceland. Director VV Vinayak will also shoot two more duet songs on Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in exotic locations of Europe and return to Hyderabad very soon.

Mahesh Sukumar movie finally going back to sets!

Mahesh Babu is acting as a main lead in the movie under Sukamr direction has completed its first schedule long ago. But later put the movie on hold to concentrate on Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. And now SVSC shoot had reached the final stage, he will begin the second schedule of Sukumar movie from 22nd of this month. The movie will be shot in and around Hyderabad in this schedule.
This movie is being produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under 14 Reels Entertainments banner and Kajal Agarwal is acting as the female lead in the movie music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Ratnavel is the cinematographer and Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh. This movie is touted to be a romantic action entertainer which is expected to be released for Pongal 2013.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan-starrer Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu would be wrapped up in 3 to 4 days. The unit is currently filming a song on Pawan Kalyan and Tamannaah at a specially erected set at Annapurna 7 acres studios.
The post production works of the film are progressing simultaneously. The film has done superb business in all areas with top distributors like Dil Raju, Bunny Vasu, etc bagging the theatrical screening rights of the movie. The teaser of the film will be released shortly and audio release date is expected to be in this month
Tamannaah is playing the female lead in this film, which also stars Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ali Gabriela Bertante (Brazillian model), etc. Mani Sharma has scored the music. Directed by Puri Jagannath, Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu is slated for release on October 11.

Shankar’s Manoharudu in China

After filming a song and an action sequence on Vikram in Chennai, Shankar’s forthcoming romantic thriller Manoharudu (I in Tamil) will be heading to China to commence its second schedule. The unit will be leaving to China on September 19 to film a song, talkie part and also a few action sequences on the lad cast. And Vikram is expected to join the unit from September 21. After shooting his earlier film Robo in places like Brazil and Peru, looks like Shankar is going to showcase the beauty of China in his upcoming film.
Shankar is directing the film and it’s the first time in seven years that Shankar and Vikram are teaming up for a film. Aascar Ravichandran is producing the film. Amy Jackson is playing the lead role opposite Vikram in this romantic thriller. A R Rahman is composing the music and P C Sriram is the cinematographer.
