Director Indraganti Mohana Krishna of ‘Ashta Chemma’ and ‘Golkonda High School’ fame will be directing this movie. Damodar Prasad (‘Ala Modalaindi’ fame) will be producing the movie
Kalyani Malik will be the music director and an official announcement is expected soon once the heroine is zeroed upon. Wish that sumanth ashwin will bag big success with this second offer.

Nagarjuna to shake legs with Lakshmi Rai

Sexy Siren Lakshmi Rai is all set to shake legs with Tollywood Glamour King Nagarjuna. This is for the item song of the movie which incidentally is also the introduction song of the actor in the movie. The song will be shot from 27th of this month in Hyderabad. With this the entire shooting of the movie will be wrapped up. The audio release of the movie will take place on September 10th and movie will hit the screens on October 12th.
Damarukam is directed by Srinivas Reddy and produced by Dr Venkat under RR Movie Makers banner. Devi sri Prasad is music director. Cinematography is by Chota K Naidu.Anushka is once again pairing opposite Nagarjuna.

Looks like Sunny Leone had now learnt how to stay in news always. Her first release in Bollywood Jism2 got released recently and bombed at the box office. The actress was told that she disappointed her fans by not exposing in the movie. Here is what she got to say –
“We have a different set of rules in India. There is a Censor Board we have to answer to, whose rules are pretty strict. There is an adult film industry everywhere. But I did this movie knowing it is mainstream Hindi cinema. I’m sorry for letting them down by not exposing. But hey! They bought the tickets, so I want to thank them!”
Movie on smuggler Veerappan
A movie is being made in Sandalwood on popular Forest smuggler Veerappan’s life. Tamil actor Kishore is playing the role of the smuggler in the movie. The movie had invoked good amount of curiosity there. And now the makers of the movie are now planning to shoot a promotional song with the film’s leading ladies – Lakshmi Rai, Bhavana Rao and Vijayalakshmi., meant for TV publicity, a first in Sandalwood.
Sandeep Chowta is rendering music for this movie while Emil (of Jinke Mari Na fame) will compose this track.

However a careful observation shows that telugu gals seems to be not interested in making acting in Tollywood as their career. There are hardly any telugu heroine in the film industry unlike Kollywood, Mollywood or Bollywood. However things are not the same in case of telugu girls.
If any film maker says that there are no beautiful and gorgeous looking girls in the state of Andhra Pradesh, then he or she would be at fault because Dia Mirza, Gadde Sindhura and Diana Hayden made waves in fashion and glamor fields but are rejected by tollywood film makers. They are as beautiful as bollywood babes and could have given run for their money. One can never forget Tabu who has the tempting structure. If one say that they don’t have acting skills then one remember how Rajamundry born Anjali was shown the exit door from tollywood. She won the accolades of all in Tamil Nadu and the same is the case with Bindu Madhavi born in Madanepalli or Madhu Shalini who is starring in bollywood.. All of them don’t lack either in beauty of professionalism.
Film makers are in their own world and inhibitions and if they come out of their shell and look, there are many beautiful telugu girls to take on beauties from other regions on tollywood silverscreen.

The present political situation in Andhra Pradesh and even in the Country shows that change is imminent and the moment general elections are held, people will show exit doors to the leaders that are ruling the State and the Country at present. Many surveys conducted by leading organisations point towards imminent change with the present parties which are ruling the state and center losing its sheen and popularity in public. For many years people have been tolerating corruption, scams, law and order problems etc. To some extent they even tolerated rise in prices, however when Central Govt decided to keep on increasing petrol prices everytime by 5-7 Rs on flimsy grounds they decided enough of it. Then the State Govt decided to increase electricity charges and also got ready to collect dues for earlier years also inspite of repeatedly warned by the High Court not to do so. This made people furious as inept officials show their helplessness in collecting pending dues from defaulters but try to extract more from innocent and honest tax payers.
Many feel that if they do their duty and collect dues on time from VVIPS and Govt organisations which are defaulting crores of rupees there won’t be any need for increase in tariffs. Increase in prices of essential commodities, vegetables, food grains left house wives fuming. All sections of people are angry with ruling Govts at state and center and even though they are trying their best to divide people by caste and regional lines, they have made up their mind to teach them a mind blowing lesson to them. However irony is that there are no other alternatives and they have to choose between devil and the deep blue sea and many wonder where imminent change points to. Whether it is good or bad to people in general.

Naresh in his film’s trailers did not leave Power Star’s Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh nor Natasimha Balakrishna’s previous films. Some however feel that the double meaning dialogues included for mass viewers may turn off family fans of Allari Naresh. Even Allari Naresh who used Chiru’s superhit title ‘Yamudiki Mogudu’ for his film, celebrated the grand occasion by cutting a cake in the presence of Megastar’s fans. Chiru who became Rajya Sabha MP is currently in Delhi, and all the greetings delighted him making him extremely happy.
When ever he interacts with media, question about his 150th film, which marks a milestone in his career will invariable come up and Chiru this time answered saying that if he gets a strong script which satisfies all his fans and people in general, he would do definitely do it. He said he is looking for a message oriented film that creates a strong impact on the society just like ‘Tagore’ and ‘Stalin’. He even underlined a threat that if he don’t get such scripts he will not star in films and fans can take that he has said good bye to Tollywood.

State of Andhra Pradesh is witnessing bitter political battle between various political parties with all the leaders indulging in accusations and counter accusations on each other. It all started with Chandra Babu Naidu of TDP who started accusing later YSR during his rule that he was the ‘Raja of Corruption’. He even published a detailed booklet highlighting YSR’s corruption saga. Later he trained his guns on his son YS.Jagan. Differences with Congress landed Jagan in jail and both Congress and TDP started accusing him as the Emperor of Corruption.

However YSR CP accused Chandra Babu of being the King of Corruption during his 9yr stint as CM. They also name some of his controversial GOs and even Congress say that they are just following his Govt orders. Congress is totally immersed in corruption with one of its minister languishing in jail while another in queue. As many as 6 cabinet ministers received notices from Supreme Court and opposition parties are putting Congress Govt in the dock. Some allege its chief Bota Satyanaraya is the Corruption Emperor having involved himself in liquor mafia and land scams.
Who ever emerges winner in this race, some say will pale in comparison to the money Raja, Kanimozhi, Maran made in 2G or those involved in coal scam made. Lalu, Jaya, Maya are far ahead of all these people in corruption. One has to wait and see what verdict poor people whose money has been looted will pass on these high profile politicians.

 Film Industry has Censor Board to monitor the good and bad it is doling out to the society and try to put it on right track whenever film makers deviate in different directions. In the olden days board members used to be very strict and never used to allow even slightest of double meaning dialogues or even lyrics in the songs. However with the influence of Hollywood films they used to be a bit liberal but however compared to bollywood films, films from South still took time to break free from shackles of traditions. Even now slightest comparison between films from bollywood and south, shows that bollywood films passes censor board with intimate kissing scenes and erotic romantic scenes unlike southern films which face road blocks for a few minutes lip locks.
Film makers from South allege bias at regional censor board, accusing the director of showing favoritism to top film makers but showing stars to small film makers. They even lodged a complaint against the director with the Union Govt. Even movie lovers who happen to watch genex films are left to wonder how some films are getting passed at the censor board. They cite two small films which went on to complete 100 days successfully. However those two films are fully loaded with double meaning dialogues. Many question whether censor board has become blind. Many joke that censor board is following Gandhi’s principle not to see,watch or hear bad and so is closing its eyes while issuing certificates.

Movie lovers may be aware that Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan created a sensation with is ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crossing Rs 100crs in just five days and many trade analysts predict that the film will be grossing more than Rs 225 crores in the long run. Already tollywood film makers are ready camping in Mumbai to bag the film’s remake rights and plan for a powerful tollywood film.

Film Nagar is abuzz with rumors that film makers got in touch with Power Star Pawan Kalyan who earlier rewrote all tollywood records by remaking Salman starrer ‘Dabaang’. Fans are still fresh from ‘Gabbar Singh’ memories and they feel that he will be better suited to become tollywood’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. There are some other film makers who feel that Natasimha Balakrishna is better suited for the powerful flick and even remark that who ever rewrites the script of the film in telugu, only one name strike them for the lead role and he is none other than Balakrishna.
It has to be seen who will become Tollywood’s Tiger and how Young Tiger NTR receives them and what he will do to counter those tigers and tame them to submission.

TDP’s trifurcation before T-State

People of Andhra Pradesh are left wondering when Telangana state would be formed and each of them are coming with their own predictions. But till now nothing is happening and though some vouch for the formation of Telangana and others say that the state would be as united as ever and infact the bond between people of two regions will be growing strong in the coming years. However some are asking for separate Rayalaseema state if in case the state is bifurcated. They say the people of Rayalaseema region can not go together with Andhra region and are seeking for trifurcation.
However many political analysts predict whether or not the central govt proceeds with division of Andhra Pradesh, TDP’s trifurcation will happen sooner than later. They say many leaders in the party are growing vexed with the dictatorial ways of its chief Chandra Babu’s ways and are looking else where. While some are planning to join other parties some are egging Nandamuri family members to take the reigns of the party. However family war is going on between Nandamuri scions Harikrishna, Balarkishna and NTR. While Balakrishna is supporting formation of Telangana state, Harikrishna is dead against it and NTR is yet to reveal his feelings.
Many feel that while Nata Smiha Balakrishna going by his seema popularity will take the reigns of TDP-Rayalaseema with him, Young TIger NTR who in a press statement said that he was born in Telangana and is the son of the soil will rule TDP-Telangana. The remaining Andhra region will be taken care by Harikrishna thus completing trifurcation of TDP leaving Chandra Babu Naidu empty handed.

One of the arrested in connection with the bribe accused AP law minister Erasu Pratap Reddy as the key person who tried to get Gali Janardhana Reddy released on bail. However the law enforcing authorities quickly hushed up the matter and nothing happened later. Everyone now knew how the investigation slowed up in the entire process. Similar is the case of 26 GOs in which Dharmana is in deep trouble. Law Minister is trying to save Dharmana and prevent his arrest.
In the midst of all this he is putting grease paint on his face to star in a telugu film ant thus fulfill his dream of becoming CM at least on silver screen. He is making his debut on silver screen in a Jagapathy Babu’s new film under Nandam Harishchandra Rao’s direction. He will be seen in a special role as CM of AP!.

Students disrupt shooting of CMGR shooting

A handful of students intruded the shooting spot of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu which is being shot in the City College, Hyderabad.
Shooting for a movie at a Heritage Site like City College would obviously damage the property in one form or the other. The student associations (ABVP) from Old City raised a protest. Even there was no bigger media focus on the issue. Now that the incident triggered some unrest among students, better Government take major steps not to let any more film shooting in this spot.
The movie shooting is the last phase of completion. Pawan is playing the role of TV Reporter and Tamannah is his cameraman. Puri Jagannath is directing the movie while DVV Danayya is producing it under Universal movies banner. Mani Sharma is rendering music for the movie.

Srimannarayana Release date

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest movie Srimannarayana is in the final stages of post production. The makers are planning to release the movie on 30th August. The Triple Platinum disc function of the movie will take place on 26th of this month at Hotel Taj Deccan. Balakrishna is playing the role of a journalist in the movie who fights against the bad in the society.
Parvati Melton and Isha Chawla are playing the female leads in the movie. ‘Samanyudu’ fame Ravi Chawali is directing the movie while Ramesh Puppala is producing the movie under Yellow Flowers banner. Chakri is composing the music.

Shah Rukh Khan booked for insulting National flag

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is always known for the numerous controversies along side the several good reasons. The actor has been booked by Pune police for allegedly insulting the national flag.
Based on the complaint of Lok Janshakti Party national secretary Ravi Brahme that Shah Rukh Khan allegedly insulted the tricolour in a video upload on Youtube, the Chatushringi police lodged an FIR against the actor on August 14.
“Shah Rukh Khan has been booked under sections of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14 and has been transferred to Mumbai police for further investigation. The case documents consist some photos and videos too,” a police officer said.

Producer disappointed with Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu overseas business

Producer DVV Danayya, who is currently on a high with the success of his recent film “Julayi”, but is grounded with the price offered for the Overseas rights of his upcoming movie, Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu.
Buyers are cautiously quoting least prices for CMGR in Overseas. And the reason behind this is director Puri Jagannath’s failure. Puri had lost his touch in recent times and all his movies including the recent Devudu Chesina Manushulu failed miserably at overseas box office. The buyers are quoting 2.5crore for Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu which is by far very less comparing the improved overseas market. However, they are arguing that Mahesh’s Businessman after a blockbuster like Dookudu also resulted in losses for them and they are not ready to risk.
So, Danayya has decided to release the Pawan Kalyan-starrer in the USA market on his own.

Hilarious heroes who once used to compete with main stream heroes are becoming extinct in Tollywood thanks to the movie lovers, film makers and story writers who are watching and churning out more and more mass masala entertainers neglecting other subjects. In the olden days comedians like Chandra Mohan, Rajendra Prasad and Naresh used to come up with many healthy entertainers which used to have neat comedy tracks. The entire film used to be hilarious with no serious stunts. Rajendra Prasad achieved the sole distinction of even receiving lavish praises from the then PM PV.Narasimha Rao that his films will be an excellent stress relievers. How ever with the passage of time and the changing tastes of genex movie lovers who are more interested in action packed entertainers in the lines of hollywood, hilarious heroes lost out in the race and many of them are not getting any offers forcing them to look for comedian roles.
Currently except for ‘Allari’ Naresh and to some extent Sunil no other heroes are starring in comedy crapers. Sunil became a star with ‘Maryadaramana’ and then ‘Poolarangadu’ though his progress has been stalled sometime back by ‘KSD Appalaraju’ and ‘Dongala Mutha’.Currently he is sharing the screen presence with Naga Chaitanya while doing another bollywood remake film. Naresh is continuing with comedy attacks in his own style and is turning ‘Sudigadu’ this month. It has to be seen for how long they will be the flag bearers for hilarious films and whether any new comers come and carry the flag.
