Bonhomie between TRS and YSRCP seems to have ended the moment TRS scraped through with wafer thin margin in Parakal. The shock Koda Surekha gave to TRS left entire top brass of the party shivering and now the battle lines for Supremacy in the Telangana region are drawn. Though Jagan in Jail he is directing his party leaders to go aggressively in the region highlighting issues that are important to people. TRS till now neglected all the basic issues issuing statements that once Telangana is formed all those issues would disappear like miracle and in the moment of heat people believed. Now realisation dawned on them that TRS is not interested in achieving statehood but to increase its seats affecting byelections.
Vijayamma YSRCP’s Leader sought to address Silicila weavers real issues and give them soothing feeling and assurances. YSRCP’s main strategy is assuage, sooth and add cooling edge to the hurt feelings of people and though they don’t address people are mesmerised with their sweet words. Sweet words and sugar coated ones will act instantly than words that spit venom.However KCR’s adopted sister Vijayashanti, yesteryear heroine turned politician seems not to learn this but is under impression that her popularity increases in leaps and bounds in Telangana by spitting venom on Seemandhra people.
She thinks that her telangana popularity is inversly proportional to seemandhra bashing conveniently forgetting the fact that she earned her stardom as people loved and adored her as they treated her as their own family member cutting across regions. People realised her true intentions when she tried politicising deaths of small kids in nilofer hospital, seperating them as telangana and seemandhra. It is time Vijayashanti realise that her aggressive Lady Amitabh image will not do wonders in real life.
Babu’s moral boosters !
Political parties may target him for his two eyed strategy in Telangana and analysts write him off completely after the drubbing his party TDP received in by elections losing its deposits wherever it contested. When he issues any statement promising sops to poor, he will be targeted mocking fun as ‘All Free’ Babu!. His bete noires YS.Vijayamma and YS.Jagan target him with corruption cases and file petitions in Supreme Court.
However SC with its verdit boosting the moral of Chandra Babu many times and even recently it quashed Vijayamma’s petition on Chandra Babu’s corruption. In a strongly worded statement it questioned what it was doing during YSR’s regime and said her petition was politically motivated.
Many may write him off but Babu a keen strategist and modern day Chanakya as he is, has many cards up his sleeve as was seen in his promises to BCs which made BCs to felicitate Naidu hailing his decision. Naidu however must be careful because if he don’t keep his promises to BCs then he will be in for trouble and if he tries to keep his promise then SCs will breath fire. For the present he can claim Supreme Court ‘s judgement as clean chit to him and project himself as the Mr.Clean of AP politics.
Mega ‘Power’ wars in bollywood !
Tollywood film industry is abuzz with news that all was not well in mega family. It all reached boiling point when Megastar gave a miss to Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Panjaa audio launch along with Ram Charan. Fans of Power Star were aghast when they found that entire Mega Family gave a miss to the function. It was a forlorn sight to watch Power Star standing alone at Panjaa audio launch. However Mega Star along with other family members attended Mega Power Star Ram Charan ‘Racha’ audio launch where Pawan was missing.
Things changed with Power Star as ‘Gabbar Singh’ rewrote all tollywood records as ‘Gabbar Singh’ with his run only stalled by Rajamouli’s Eega when he was aiming to erase ‘Magadheera’ records. During the audio function Chiru gave a statement that all was well and Pawan didnot utter a word. Ram Charan before Gabbar Singh created Racha. Megastar Chiranjeevi planned for grand bollywood entry for his son Cherry with the remake of Big B Amitabh’s ‘zanjeer’. He made all arrangements so that Salman takes special interest in Cherry’s debut film.
In the mean time Power Star decided to take the Mega family ‘Power’ war to bollywood with Konda Krishnam Raju deciding to produce a powerful bilingual in telugu and hindi on Sri Varasiddha Vinayaka Productions Pvt Ltd.He revealed that the film will be a powerful entertainer and will suit Power Star’s style. The film will be launched officially in October under top director’s direction. It has to be seen who will emerge victorious in ‘Power’full war on bollywood alien turf.
Young Tiger scared ?
Fans view Jr.NTR as fearless person who can take on opponents head on however ferocious and powerful they may be. These qualities instantly made him the youth icon and fans started addressing him as Young Tiger. Some feel that his political leanings have given him some immunity to his actions. However many political and movie analysts say that he is scared and is gripped with fear and feeling of insecurity in political as well as movie fronts. Till recently when he scored sensational hits like ‘Simhadri’ and ‘Yamadonga’ he was much sought after by his family party TDP and its chief Chandra Babu Naidu who duly used him for campaigning during 2009 general elections and later conveniently left him in lurch.
Young Tiger in his bid to rewrite tollywood records of Magadheera, aped the film with ‘Shakti’ and later tried ‘Oosaravelli’ both failing miserably. Now he set his sights on Gabbar Singh and Dookudu, second and third positions, and the buzz is he atleast want to reach their with ‘Badshah’.In between he entangled in the web of political tangle with wily Naidu and Natasimha Balakrishna both enjoying the new bond of their children wedding to each other,joining hands to crush Young Tiger.
They successfully killed Young Tiger’s ‘Dammu’ organising bandh in Vijayawada on the day of film’s release dividing the fans and when NTR tried to counter them politically through his friend and MLA Kodali Nani, they quickly cut him to size suspending him from the party. Now even when NTR is ready for patchup with Naidu and Balakrishna, he is viewed with suspicion with bad blood flowing. Surely Young Tiger is scared as any misunderstanding will have bearing on his film career at present.
Mega dreams crashing !
Mega Star Chiranjeevi planned his political entry around 2009 in a perfect manner. Prior to that after becoming Mega Star of tollywood with hardwork and dedication, started Chiranjeevi Blood Bank and participated in many social service activities. When he was awarded Padma Bhushan many thought that he would be taking plunge in politics sooner than later joining Congress Party. However he launched his own party PRP in style and after the election results many suspected that he was used as ploy by Congress Party to split votes of opposition parties to regain power. Those doubts became reality when Chiru merged his party with Congress and became Rajya Sabha MP.
Mega Star aspired to become CM of AP finding it difficult to run the party, he became RS MP and now is aspiring to become Central Minister and thereby curry favors with high command to achieve his CM dream through back door making use of highly volatile situation in the state. However Congress leadership at Center seems to have some other intentions, using Chiru to the core and not rewarding him. They used him during the TN state assembly elections and during AP by elections, IT raids were unleashed at his daughter’s house in Chennai where they unearthed huge cash. All this was may be done at the behest of Congress high command to keep Chiru in check as he is pressuring it with cabinet berth demand. If by chance he takes up the issue, then Cong threaten him with CBI or IT raids!.
Now there has been a talk from his group of MLAs that they would be demanding TTD chief post for Mega Star so that he can take his blood bank services to international level. It has to be seen whether Chiru’s dream of having atleast a post prior to 2014 elections gets fulfilled or not.
Puri says Idiot-2 not possible !
Our Readers might have remembered that Puri Jagannath had announced the sequel to his super hit movie, Idiot with Ravi Teja and Ileana in the lead roles but the project did not materialize and in the place Devudu Chesina Manushulu took place with the same combination. Puri was asked about Idiot-2 in a recent press conference, He said that he has shelved the project “Idiot 2” since he thought that he cannot add any extension to the original lead character.
The director said he watched the original in Bangkok and thought that it’s difficult to add any masala to the character “Chanti” in the film. “I initially planned to make idiot 2 with Ravi Teja but later changed my mind after reviewing the film once again. I called Ravi Teja and told him that I cannot make Idiot 2 since the original character will lose its credibility and dynamism”, said Puri Jagannath.
He added, “Since I cannot make the sequel, I decide to work with Ravi Teja for another film – Devudu Chesina Manushulu.
Pawan Kalyan’s Bollywood debut !
Some time ago, we had a news that Pawan Kalyan will be acting in a multi language Jesus Christ related movie under the direction of Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. The movie was supposed to be produced by Konda Krisham Raju. But due to several reasons the movie was kept in back burner.
But Pawan was reportedly committed to do a movie with the Producer. Krishnam Raju us now planning a movie which will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously. This movie will go on to sets in October and incidentally will be the Bollywood debut of Pawan. More details are awaited.
Rajamouli to show Prabhas as ‘King’
While all the heroes are queuing up to work with Tollywood’s most successful director, Rajamouli, it is Prabhas who had got the lucky chance to act in a movie directed by Rajamouli. However, he says he had not finalized the story for Prabhas. However, he hinted that the movie is going to be based on our ancient glory Speaking in an interview, he said, “I have not finalized the subject for Prabhas yet. A couple of different lines are being worked on and we will take a call soon. But basically, I do want to make a film on our Kings with Prabhas. There are so many captivating stories regarding our Kings, with great emotional upheavals. I would like to showcase such stories in a new way”.
So, in all probability, we are in for a treat once again with a mythological story.
Cherry to romance Kajal in Greece and Iceland
Star director VV Vinayak is directing a new movie with Mega Power Star Ram Charan in the main lead under Universal media banner produced by DVV Danayya. This film is the first in the combination of director and hero. The film shooting is going on in Kolkata which will continue till the end of this month.The Songs shoot of the movie will begin in August in beautiful locales of Iceland and Greece.
Kajal Agrawal and Amala Paul are acting as the female leads and Thaman composing the music for this movie. Cherry is the title under consideration for this movie and is expected to release in last half of this year.
Rana Babu Vs Ram Babu in Pawan’s Cameraman
Rana Babu is the character name of Prakash Raj in Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’. Characterization of PR and the scenes between him and Pawan are said to be the highlight in the movie. The shooting of the movie is going on at brisk pace. Currently, Pawan Kalyan is shaking legs with milky beauty Tamannah in a special set erected in Annapurna 7 acres. Production designer Chinna had erected a beautiful set for this song shoot.
Pawan Kalyan is playing the role of a journalist in the film. Puri Jagannath is directing Pawan in this movie after their Badri. DVV Danayya is producing it on Universal movies banner. Mani Sharma is scoring the music. The film is going to hit the screens on October 18.
Jr NTR’s Badshah in Switzerland
Our readers are aware that the regular shooting of Young Tiger NTR’s upcoming movie ‘Badshah’ had began earlier last month in Italy. The movie unit had canned a song and few vital scenes of the movie there and now unit had shifted to Switzerland. The shooting there will continue till end of this month and Hyderabad schedule will begin in the first week of August. The movie story is mostly set in abroad and will have almost 45 working days of shoot in various countries.
Kajal Agarwal is pairing up with NTR in this movie. This is the second time Kajal pairing up with NTR once again after Brindavanam.The movie will be produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu under Parameswara Arts banner. Thaman who worked for Srinu Vaitla’s earlier movie Dookudu will also work for this movie.
Cherry becomes Comedian !
Mega fans and entire tollywood look upon Ram Charan or more lovingly known as Cherry as youth icon, style statement and Young Mega Power Star. However to the dismay of all he is turning nothing more than a comedian. When all other heroes are going hammer and tongs and showing their power in their bid to capture the tollywood throne which once decorated his dad Mega Star Chiranjeevi and whom many believe Cherry is the hier apparent, Cherry is just content with including remix songs from his dad’s superhit films believing that those alone will ensure success.
He feels ‘Magadheera’ became hit due to ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta’ from ‘Gharana Mogudu’ and ‘Racha’ became hit with ‘Vana Vana’ from ‘Gang Leader’. So he is insisting on including hit songs ‘Guvva Gorinka To’ and ‘Subhalekha Rasukunna’from ‘Khaidi No 786’ and ‘Kondaveeti Donga’ in his upcoming film under VV.Vinayak direction in which he is playing dual role for the first time in his career.
Already he finished shooting for ‘Guvva Gorinka’ with Kajal and is keen on finishing ‘Subhalekha’. In his efforts to score success he is becoming comedian in the lines of ‘Allari’ Naresh who included ‘Akasam Lo Oka Tara’ in ‘Seema Tapakai’ and is also including ‘Atto Attama Kuturo’ from Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s ‘Alluda Majaka’ in his upcoming film, as tit for tat to Cherry. His previous film included parodies on hit songs and his upcoming film which is a spoof on tollywood’s top hits is expected to include many more songs.
Many feel Cherry’s line of thinking is flawed because just by including his dad’s superhit songs as remixes alone will not ensure success. Any successful film require strong storyline and perfect coordination in sync in all 24 arts of film making which Magdheera had and to some extent Rachcha. They point out that even if Cherry had included remix in his film ‘Orange’, the result wouldn’t have been different due to weak storyline.
YSRP is a ‘Gunda’ Party
Dubbing the YSRCP as Gunda Party, Medak MP and TRS leader Vijayashanthi has said that the Telangana region would go into the clutches of Gundas if people failed to obstruct the party of goons.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Vijayashanthi has alleged that it was shameful on the part of the State government and Congress, who she said had extended full support to the Gunda party during Y S Vijayamma’s visit to Sircilla. She has charged the police with entering the Telangana Bhavan her party’s headquarters and attacking TRS activists like ‘Gundas’.She has alleged that the attack was the result of a conspiracy hatched and executed by the government and the YSRCP.
She said the police had detained TRS leaders, activists, JAC leaders and students across the Telangana region for simply demanding the YSRCP to clarify its stand on Telangana.She has alleged that the State government was attacking the right of the people to express their protest against the YSRCP. She also said that the police had involved in atrocities throughout the Rajiv National Highway. She has alleged that the cops had even attacked women, who were working in their fields.
Vijayashanti has said that Telangana people want their self rule and not Seemandhra leaders rule.
CM supports VIjayamma for Deeksha – VH
Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has made a sensational allegation that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had colluded with the YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma and helped in making her Deeksha in Sircilla town of Karimnagar district a success.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Hanumantha Rao has said that Vijayamma’s Deeksha in support of the handloom weavers was only for political gains. He has pointed out that handloom weavers across the Telangana region were facing problems and not just in Sircilla town.
Finding fault with the police for ‘attacking Telangana protagonists’, he said it was not correct on the part of police to enter Telangana Bhavan, headquarters of the TRS. He has alleged that there was no democracy in Rayalaseema region and added that he would visit Pulivendula constituency soon for the highlighting the plight of development of BC SC and STs. He has demanded the State government to provide protection to him during his visit to Pulivendula as was done in the case of Vijayamma during her visit to Sircilla.
Jr NTR Vs Charan – Who is on top ?
Ram Charan and NTR Junior are very good pals off screen. But they are facing each other in the number one race that is currently going on in Tollywood. Although Charan is junior to NTR in the field, he is right up there in fan following and craze. Also the actors are of same age and usually target the same sections of audience.
NTR and Charan have very large fan base among the masses and right now Charan has the upper hand in terms of box office performances. He has two films in the all time top 5 hits of Tollywood and NTR is yet to break into the list. However, NTR can score a big hit any given point of time if he is supported by good story and director.
Numbers and track records aside, both these actors are going to get into direct fight soon. Their next films are targeting the same season to hit the screens. NTR’s Baadshah is slated for Pongal release and Charan’s upcoming movie under Vinayak direction too will release for Sankranthi. This film was supposed to release during Dussera, but the latest reports say that it will make it only by Pongal. Well, this is one encounter that we are dying to watch. Aren’t we?
YSRCP losing battles !
Many may be surprised seeing the heading. Leaders and cadre of YSRCP will be over the moon with the victories in byelections and even general public feel that the party is way ahead of 2014 state assembly elections. There is a feeling that whether its chief Jagan in or out of jail doesn’t make any difference in the victories or winning margins of party candidates.
However a close look and inside analysis of the party and its politics along with the strategies followed by Vijayamma or Jagan, one can see that YSRCP is losing battles that bring down its morale. It’s chief YS.Jagan tried invain innumerous times to get bail from his cases so that he can be out of Jail and hog in the media limelight and even issuing threatening statements to his rivals. But his bail petition has been rejected not once but twice and he withdrew his latest bail plea with Supreme Court, with ED’s inquiry hanging like damsel sword on his head.
As if this was not enough Vijayamma filed petition with Supreme Court seeking enquiry on Chandra Babu Naidu’s assets and scams involving him, but not once but twice she tasted defeat, with the highest court striking off her petition. These two certainly are great moral defeats for the party and with YSR daughter Sharmila taking backseat, someone should sparkle on political front to rejenuvate the cadres and leaders.
Vote Banks washes safety!
Come rainy season hyderabadis horrendous experience starts.Political parties in power issue statements visiting water clogged places that steps would be taken on war scale. Opposition as usual train their guns on the ruling government. But the ground situation will never change though parties in power changes. Govt in power may show towering buildings, posh villas, flyovers connecting various places, metros and hitech cities. However other side burst the bubble out of their tall claims with 24/7 leaking drainage, roads with pits which never saw development since 3 decades, no water supply for weeks together, uninterrupted power cuts.
To the top of it you have double registrations, cheating, encroachments, illegal constructions. People wonder how could all this happen had there been honest officials working sincerely for the development of people. But with lower middle class and downtrodden selling their votes for momentary benefits and all political parties interested in vote banks, safety of citizens is washed away in encroachment floods. Unless until change starts in the heart of each individual and then with his family, influencing the society as a whole, one can not expect wonders solving the day to day problems of the people.
People should introspect as to what they want. Momentary monetary benefits which solves the problem temporarily or permanent solution which gives better future for the generations ahead.
‘Rebel’ needs awakening
When naughty beauty Nitya Menon asked ‘who Prabhas is’ hell broke lose, but now if anyone asks who is Prabhas?, then they can be pardoned as he is out of tollywood radar since long time. His fans are perlplexed while movie lovers are left wondering what was wrong with Prabhas?
Prabhas who got immense mass following with his debut films Eshwar and then Raghavendra suddently changed track and starred in Chakram. After is sensational Chatrapathi and stylish Billa, everyone started raving about him and he suddenly became ‘Darling’ of all. He became ‘Mr.Perfect’ and it seems he doesn’t want to tamper his image anymore.
It gives a feeling that Prabhas is turning reluctant ‘Rebel’ with Raghava Lawrence using his delaying tactics much to the disgust of his fans. While Prabhas is keen on romancing Deeksha Seth and Tamanna, Lawrence is straining him with stunts. Whatever may be the reason, this warrior saint of ‘Raghavendra’ needs awakening to become full fledged ‘Rebel’.
Can Rana become ‘Leader’?
Rana Daggubati entered tollywood to carry forward the legacy of Daggubati family led by Stalwarts, film maker D.Rama Naidu and victory venkatesh top tollywood hero. Unlike other heroes who chose love and romantic entertainers as safe bet for a debutant he made a sensational entry as ‘Leader’ under creative director Sekhar Kammula.
He won many laurels from film critics and movie lovers alike who praised his guts for being different. Not satisfied by the laurels he created another sensation by making his bollywood debut in ‘Dum Maro Dum’ sharing screen presence with Abhishek Bachchan. He won best debutant award from ZEE and was nominated for Film Fare award on debut.
Inbetween he starred in Nenu Naa Rakshasi and Naa Ishtam but his disinterest in tollywood is clearly visible. One feel he is aspiring for bigger roles and want to show the power of tollywood to the world. When everyone started questioning his moves, he stunned all acting with none other than Big B Amitabh Bachchab in ‘Department’.
Many times he expressed his interest in making his kollywood debut but his dream was not fulfilled. However his solace is his latest flick Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum turning out to be bilingual. He is also eyeing Hollywood debut. Many feel his intentions of taking tollywood to hollywood or even higher may be right but the moves he is making is perlplexing one and all least to say about his fans.
Not getting foothold in anyone industry he is sailing in five different boats and is unable to concentrate in any one particular region. However going by his words, Rana may opt for bollywood as he feels that he gets more performance oriented roles. To become ‘Leader’ of heroes Rana needs to do more than just starring in bollywood films.
