Though busy with his political life, Megastar Chiranjeevi is reportedly closely following Ram Charan’s movie career. He had recently appointed Telugu director Yogi to oversee the entire Telugu related work of Ram Charan’s Zanjeer.For those of you who are unaware, Yogi directed Oka Raju Oka Rani and recently Venkatesh’sChintakayala Ravi . The work of this film is moving at a brisk pace. The movie wrapped up a major Bangkok schedule.
This Apoorva Lakhia’s remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1970s cop film will be released in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. Mahie Gill plays the seductress in the movie while Ram Charan has Priyanka Chopra as lead lady. Priyanka is yet to join the regular shoot of this film. Meanwhile, Ram Charan is shifting to V V Vinayak’s film from July 20th in Kolkota.

Prabhu Deva has signed Samantha for the hindi remake of Nuvvostanante Nenoddanta, which is Prabhu Deva’s first directorial debut. He later moved to Tamil films and then into Bollywood. But Samantha’s health issues had forced Prabhudeva to make a change. Andt now it’s all Shruthi’s project. Gleeful Shruthi tweeted, “Busy busy days ahead all set to start two new projects yay .”:)
Newcomer Girish Taurani is acting as male lead in this film. Shruthi Hassan earlier signed Balupu, opposite Ravi Teja. Balupu is being produced by Prasad Potluri.

NTR’s Italy schedule excites fans in Europe

Nandamuri fans in Europe are making their way to Italy to have a glimpse at their favourite actor, NTR who is on a long schedule to Young Tiger NTR. Few sources in the movie unit there tells us that many fans are coming from all over Europe to meet the actor. But the unit is refusing them pictures with the actor as they do not want to reveal the new look of the actor.
Currently, a song is being shot on the lead pair in the exotic locales of Italy. The unit had already canned few scenes of the movie and are extremely delighted with the output. The first schedule of the movie which began earlier this month will continue till end of this month.
Kajal will be pairing up with NTR once again in this movie after Brindavanam.The movie will be produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu under Parameswara Arts banner. Thaman who worked for Srinu Vaitla’s earlier movie Dookudu will also work for this movie.

Autonagar Suriya in Ramoji Film City

But the movie had gone haywire due to Samantha’s illness. Acne related problems had kept Samantha out of work for more than 3 months now. Now Samantha is fit and ready to attend the shoot.Currently, Deva Katta is shooting for the few left over scenes of the movie. Samantha will join the unit from 20th of this month. With this, the movie shooting will be complete except for a song. The unit is aiming to complete the song shoot in this month itself. Later the movie will go in to extensive post production mode.
The movie is said to be on the powerful unions of Vijayawada.Prasthanam fame Deva Katta is the director.Anup Rubens is scoring the music.The movie is being produced by K.Atchi Reddy on Max India banner and R.R.Movie Makers are acting as the presenters.

Currently, a fight is being shot on Prabhas in Pondicherry with this the talkie part of the movie will be complete. One song will be left to be shot for which Tamannah dates are required. So, the movie might take another month to complete.Tamannah and Deekshaseth are playing the female leads in the movie. Lawerence himself is composing the music after Thaman walked out of the project. Is Jagan voting for Pranab ?

It is learnt that the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has finally decided to vote for the UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential elections and has also conveyed his decision to him.Congress MP Sabbam Hari who has been supporting Jagan has met him in the Chanchalguda jail on Thursday. It is learnt that he met Pranab Mukherjee in Delhi later. and reportedly informed him and other Congress leaders about the decision of Jagan.
Though NDA nominee PA Sangma has also met Vijayamma at Hyderabad and sought her party’s support, it is learnt that the family has decided not to further antagonize the Congress leadership by supporting the BJP candidate. They also reportedly thought that supporting BJP would be against the earlier stand taken by Jagan not to associate himself with the party and it might also send wrong signals to the Muslim community among whom the party has considerable backing. The YSR Congress now has 2 MPs including Jagan and 17 MLAs.
The stand of TDP and TRS is yet to be known. TDP has sent messages to all its MPs and MLAs to be available from the 17th onwards. Similar instructions were also given to the MPs and MLAs of TRS. The two parties are still toying with the idea of boycotting the election.

TDP to Stay away from Presedent Elections ?

The opposition TDP has decided not to vote either the UPA’s candidate Pranab Mukherjee or the NDA candidate P A Sangma in the Presidential poll to be held on Thursday.

This was confirmed by the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu here on Tuesday evening. He said that as his party has been fighting against the anti-people policies of the Congress since more than 3 decades, it could not support UPA candidate. He also said that it could not also support the NDA candidate Sangma as he was put up by the communal BJP party. As such, his party has decided to refrain from voting, he has added.
The decision was earlier informed to the media by the party MP Ramesh Rathod. He told the media that the TDP Telangana Forum has decided not to vote to Pranab Mukherjee as he was anti-Telangana. He said when their decision was conveyed to the party leadership, the leadership has conceded their demand and decided to abstain from voting. This was later confirmed by the TDP chief.

IAS officers Demand action on TG !

IAS officer’s association representatives have met the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy at the secretariat on Tuesday and complained to him about the reported statement of the minor irrigation minister T G Venkatesh that non-functioning IAS officers should be shot dead.They told the CM that the minister has repeated his statement instead of expressing his regrets after they protested. They have asked the Chief Minister to take suitable action against the minister.

It is learnt that the IAS officers association has initially thought of filing a police case against the minister for inciting violence against them. They have also consulted legal experts who said there was a clear case and they could complain to the police. However wiser counsel prevailed and the association leaders first wanted to talk to the Chief Minister who was then in East Godavari district tour. They have met the Chief Minister who has come back on Tuesday. It is learnt that the IAS officers would wait for the Chief Minister to reprimand the minister before going to the police.
IAS officers are stating that the statement of the minister might embolden people to attack officers in the field.It is learnt that TGV was peeved when officers chose to ignore his instructions of de-silting minor tanks and irrigation canals before the onset of monsoon, despite his being the concerned minister and order-issuing authority.

KTR comments as ‘Lottery CM’ !

Taking serious exception to Sircilla MLA and TRS leader K Taraka Ramarao’s dubbing Kiran Kumar Reddy as a ‘lottery Chief Minister’, Anil said that it was not proper for KTR, a first-time MLA, to criticize the Chief Minister, who was a fourth time MLA and had the experience of working as Speaker of Assembly.
He also said that the Congress high command would pick up a capable person to the pivoted post generally and also the Congress was not a feudal party like TRS. He warned KTR that the Congress and the people would teach a fitting lesson to him if he failed to stop criticizing the Chief Minister again. He also advised KTR to behave like a politician and it would help him to continue in politics, otherwise he would face problems.

CBI permits Jagan & Mopidevi to Vote for Prez Elections!

CBI court has permitted YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, who are presently lodged in the Chanchalguda jail as undertrial prisoners to cast their votes in the Presidential poll on Thursday.
While upholding the petitions of both to be allowed to cast their votes as per their constitutional rights, the CBI court has directed the Director General of Police and the Commissioner of Police to provide ample security to both of them and take them to the Assembly complex where polling would be held, in a special vehicle. The police were also instructed to bring both back soon after they cast their votes.
Earlier the CBI, while stating that it had no objection to the two casting their votes, urged the court to ensure that they do not interact with any one while in the Assembly premises while casting their votes.

Mahesh to come up as Gangster !

‘Gangster’ in the role of a hero is not something we see regularly in Telugu movies. Sources are saying that Superstar Mahesh is showing enormous interest in one such role and for one such director.
While Puri portrayed him as ‘Surya Bhai’ in Businessman, the movie is not so stylish and will not give you a Hollywood feel. Recently, director Chakri Toleti made ‘David Billa’ that looks extremely stylish and Hollywood kind. Superstar is thinking that if Chakri executes a stunning ‘mafia’ script made by prominent writers here, then he will get both commercial success and Hollywood kind of movie. Responding on these reports, director Chakri says, ‘I’ve met Mahesh to discuss about projects, but nothing is finalized for now’. There are all chances for Mahesh to come up with a ‘gangster’ movie in this combo.
Stylish films always require lavish budgets which in turn might not work for Telugu Box Office, as we have seen Billa, Panjaa and now David Billa. Let us see if it works for Mahesh!

Well, Venky’s movies have been starting with the alphabet ‘S’. Whether it is coincidence or the way the way he wants it currently he is busy with the shooting of two films titled ‘Shadow’ and ‘Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. And it is heard that the project after this is also with the same letter.
Reports say that Venky’s new project would be titled as ‘Swami Vivekananda’ based on the life of the great intellectual. Though nothing official has been announced about it, the talk is high that this project will materialize. While the sentiment part is fine, let us hope that another word also joins Venky’s list that is ‘S’uccess.

150th movie coming soon: Chiranjeevi

With PRP’s merger into Congress and the speculations of him getting a central ministry, fans almost lost hope on his 150th movie. But Chiranjeevi thinks otherwise. Nagarjuna’s family on a special train to Shirdi

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Shirdi Sai producer Mahesh Reddy had booked a special trainwhich will take Nagarjuna, Amala, Akhil and the unit of Shirdi Sai to Shirdi on July 25th. The next day will be the last day shoot of the movie in which few montage scenes on Shirdi town will be shot. Later, the first CD of the movie will be kept at Baba’s feet. The audio release of the movie will take place on 30th of this month.
Raghavender Rao who earlier directed movies like Annamaya, Sri Ramadadu is the director of the movie. MM Keeravani has composed the music like the other two. TDP General Secretary Post to Balayya ?

Hero Bala Krishna who warned the baddies not to try to look at his other side in the hit film ‘Simha’ is now eager to show his other side in Politics.The Senior actor had recently announced his entry in to direct politics last week to rescue the image of the party founded by his father, which is plummeting down to an all time low. The actor had reportedly his brother-in-law and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu to give him some status in the party as well as some specific responsibilities so that he could instantly concentrate on rebuilding the party.
It is learnt that he has assured Naidu that he would work for the party for 15 days every month, sparing the remaining time for films. Consequently, it is learnt that Naidu is considering to give the General Secretary post to Balayya. Interestingly, Late NTR had nominated Chandra Babu in the same post when he first came in to the party. Balayya is reportedly planning to tour the entire state irrespective of elections.
