As expected, minister for excise and prohibition Mopidevi Venkataramana was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the alleged illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

He was asked to appear before the CBI for the second consecutive day and soon after his arrival, the CBI officials told him that he was being arrested. As Court ordered CBI to issue notice to Jagan under CRPC 41A, the YSR Congress chief is worried that he will be grilled as soon as he enters the investigation agency’s office. However, the chances for him to get a bail are very low as per law experts.
