In recent times, NTR’s Dammu and Charan’s Racha had released in 1100 and 1000 theaters respectively and had reportedly got 8.04 Crores and 7.86 crores respectively. This has become the trend in recent times releasing a movie in record number of theaters and getting as much as opening as possible. But things were not rosy for Gabbar Singh to follow this trend.
The movie could not manage to get the biggest possible release as Dammu and Racha are still having decent number of theaters between them and are running decently. The movie might manage 950-970 theaters release. Lets see how much it manages to get on the day 1.

NTR’s father Hari Krishna had taken a U turn in this issue. “Neither me nor my son Junior NTR are responsible for Vamsi’s action. He is producer of a movie that doesn’t mean we are responsible for what he do, We don’t have any connections with him. If Vamsi has to continue in the TDP, he has to follow the party discipline and work for its strengthening,” Harikrishna said.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ is finally here. Check out the first talk of this movie from premiere-show screens.
As everyone knows, the story is simple where a hero takes revenge against a baddie who plays spoilsport with his family. The movie is a delight for Pawan’s fans to watch their heartthrob’s entry on a horse. Whole first of the movie is dominated by Powerstar’s punch dialogues and hilarious comedy scenes. With Pawan as their captain, all the comedians in department have done their part to take this movie to a serious interval. While narration is a big slow in second half, the fighting scenes remain highlight showing the stamina of Pawan. One will definitely forget the original ‘Dabangg’ after watching ‘Gabbar Singh’. Pawan in title role and Abhimanyu Singh as villain have rocked the screen with Shruti Hassan playing a perfect romantic interest of the hero and Malaika shaking masses with her curves.
Technically, GS is etched with high standard production values. Ram-Laxman’s fights and awesome background score stand atop. Jayanan Vincent’s camera work looked awesome for this hilarious entertainer by scoring 100 marks in songs.
Overall, this movie gives a break for Shruti Hasan from the iron leg talk. Pawan’s fans anyway get the double treat of what they have experienced from ‘Racha’ during the start of this season.

The other day, AP police officers association has raised objection to Pawan’s attire as cop and his role as a corrupt public servant, referring it as an insult to the police uniform. Now the police department have been at the receiving end of sharp criticism. In the past, there are quite a number of films where the cops are shown as anti-social elements in different attires, including some disgusting scenes like a police officer raping the wife of other police officer. Why did they shut their eyes and mouth then? Is there any secret agenda behind attacking Gabbar Singh? Does being a top hero made Pawan a soft target?
Like in every profession, there is good and bad in police department too. Why can’t the cops, who are making a hue and cry about Gabbar Singh, see it in that angle. Even if they tried to spend a minute of their time to know about the moral values Pawan follow, this situation mayn’t have arised. Can the police heads stop their subordinates from thronging into Gabbar Singh theaters? They will fail undoubtedly, if they intend to do so!
Ironically, the police officers association president who launched this attack on Gabbar Singh is now trying desperately to see the film even before the release. Don’t be surprised, if he is one of the fans of Pawan. That’s the magic of Powerstar!!

So, if Gabbar Singh proves to be better than those films and gets very good talk, then breaking records won’t be a problem for Gabbar Singh.

Gabbar Singh mania has reached scary levels as fans and common audiences are going mad over this film. Pawan Kalyan’s star power coupled with sensational music and a massy outlook promises a masala treat for the audiences this summer. Despite the bad track record of Pawan Kalyan in the recent past, Gabbar Singh is showing Pawan’s power to the box office.
28 shows are being screened in Prasads multiplex on the first day and all the tickets were sold off in just two hours. Same is the case with other multiplexes and single screens. Tickets were booked in advance for four days in many theaters in advance. This is shocking the film fraternity too. One could not believe that Pawan Kalyan’s last blockbuster film was released eleven years ago and he has only one hit in the meantime.

However there are enough elements to click with the target audiences and fans it seems. Super Star Mahesh is a busy man these days switching between the shootings of his Seethamma Vaakita Sirimalle Chettu, Sukumar movie and ad films. He recently completed the first schedule of Sukumar movie. He will be shooting for a new TV commercial for Jos Alukkas on 10th and 11th in Hyderabad. Yesterday we have reported about the news of senior Producer Bellamkonda Suresh slapping Kandireega director Santosh Srinivas. Santosh Srinivas had went on to place a complaint in Directors’ association too.
Our sources in Filmnagar says a different story. Going in to details, Bellamkonda had produced the first movie of Santosh Srinivas. He had an agreement with Santosh that he should do his first two movies for him with out any remuneration. Santosh readily agreed then to bag his first chance. Kandireega was made and became a huge hit. And now Santosh does not want to do the second film for free. He had an argument with Bellamkonda regarding this and finally lodged a false complaint on Bellamkonda.
Hero Ram also has some issues with Bellamkonda and is supporting Santosh in this regard. So, that they sideline Bellamkonda from this project and bring in new producer.

Sakshi accounts frozen by CBI !

The axe has finally fallen on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s financial and media muscle. The CBI has today frozen bank accounts of Jagathi Publications (publishers of Sakshi daily), Indira Television Pvt Ltd (Sakshi TV) and Janani Infra.
The CBI’s move comes in the wake of its chargesheet that these three companies benefited in quid pro quo cases. The action was taken under CRPC section 102. Following the notice by CBI, the accounts of these companies in SBI and OBC banks stand frozen.
Stung by the unexpected move, Sakshi management called as ‘vendetta’. It also dubbed the action as an ‘assault on the freedom of the press’. They alleged that the action was taken without even issuing notices to the companies concerned.
A statement in the name of Jagan, who was campaigning in Rayadurg in Anatapur, said that he had expected that such an ‘undemocratic’ action would be initiated by CBI in order to muffle the popular voice.
Prof Nageshwar, speaking on Sakshi TV demanded that the CBI and the government should ensure that the paper and the TV channel will have no problem in continuing their day-to-day operations. ABK Prasad, a strong supporter of Jagan, also condemned the CBI action.
Sakshi management issued a statement in the name of Dileep Reddy, managing editor, that the paper and the TV will continue to operate as usual despite the CBI restrictions. He also said that the management will approach Press Council of Indian against the CBI action.
The CBI decision will have far-reaching repercussions on Jagan’s political future too. Though it is early days to suggest that the media outlets of Jagan will shut down as a result of the freeze, the action will certainly dampen the spirits of the party as well as the employees.
Jagan has been able to make an impact and continues to influence large sections of people because of the might of his media. Launched with large investments, the print and electronic outlets have played a key role in shaping public opinion in favour of Jagan.
It would be doubtful if Jagan would have the same advantage without the help of his media houses. Meanwhile, how long will Jagan be able to run his paper and TV channel without financial constraints is anybody’s guess.
