‘Endukante Premanta’, which is the most expensive film in the career of energetic hero Ram, has become a major point of discussion in the Industry.
This romantic entertainer directed by Karunakaran was being made with a whoofing budget of Rs. 26 crores. Notably, ‘Endukante Premanta’ has some resemblence to Ram Charan’s disastrous flick ‘Orange’. The film ‘Orange’ was made with a budget of Rs. 33 crore, but failed to recover even the investment despite having the backing of huge fan following.
The main reason for the failure of ‘Orange’ is said to be the budget failure. “The budget for a romantic entertainer shouldn’t be on par with a mass entertainer. Spending a huge amount on romantic comedies is always a ricky attempt,” says a film critic.
Even Ram’s out-and-out mass entertainers like Maska and Kandireega are made with a limited budget and makers got benefited from it. But the young hero has fallen in the trap with ‘Endukante Premanta’, by spending more than required. Let’s see, if he drowns in the sinking ship or comes out with flying colors!
