Srija’s marriage gala over – Chiru to start his journey on 150th film with a ‘Twist’
Right now all eyes are on Chiranjeevi and his next project. The actor who was busy with his daughter’s marriage is now a relieved man. The daughter’s wedding celebrations are over and right now all eyes are on Chiranjeevi’s word with respect to his 150th film.
But reports say that Chiranjeevi will undergo a shoulder surgery and it will take some time before he starts his journey for the 150th movie. As of now it is certain that, Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie will be an official remake of ‘Kaththi’ and this Telugu version will be produced by LYCA Productions along with Ram Charan.
V.V.Vinayak is already announced as director for this remake. But there is a twist to tale as V.V.Vinayak is now replaced by another director. However the replacement director is not revealed.
However this is not an official confirmation. Mega camp is still yet to reveal more details. V.V.Vinayak already revealed that he has made some changes to the original ‘Kaththi’ script. The team is also looking for a suitable female lead. Talks are on with Tamannaah to do female lead role.
Tamannah Hikes Remuneration Again
Tamannah, the hottest glamour diva, has hiked her remuneration one more time. Post “Baahubali’, she has increased her pay as the movie went on to become one of the biggest hits of all time in India.
And the producers happily agreed to pay her since she is commanding good draw in all languages.
Post ‘Oopiri’ too, Tamannah has started asking more money, said a producer who approached her recently for a movie.
In “Oopiri”, she doesn’t have any substantial role, nor she won any great praise. But she reportedly believes that her new popularity would help the producers to sell the movie for good price.
With row of hits she has in her kitty and her inclination to do more skinshow, she is in demand.

Balakrishna however received huge shock in the assembly when Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP MLA Srikanth Reddy blasted him in AP assembly. He warned in the assembly that neither he nor his party will tolerate any one who show Rayalaseema region and people in a bad light.
He said Balakrishna in his films and many filmmakers tarnished his region by showing them as factionists. Many are wondering whether YSRCP left with no issues is now trying to make an issue out of nothing.
It is known that faction stories have been going on for quite sometime in Tollywood and it is wrong to target Balakrishna for it. It has to be seen how Balakrishna will respond to YSRCP charges.
Oopiri: Talk Of The French Town
The French movie ‘The Intouchables’ was remade in Telugu as ‘Oopiri’ and was a massive success.
The Intouchables is the second biggest hit ever in French cinema history. Francois Cluzet played the role of a paraplegic that was reprised by Nagarjuna in Telugu and Tamil.
Apparently, French television channels are now agog with the news that their movie has been remade in two regional languages of India with spectacular success.
They are now comparing the performance of Nagarjuna with that of Francois Cluzet. Not bad news for our industry, is it?
The good part of the movie is that the makers bought the rights officially from the French makers. Otherwise, they would have been badly embarrassed and neither would they have got this publicity.
TRADE: Attack and Savitri bit dust on First day itself
Just before the Sardaar Gabbar Singh release, the next week, few Small films have hit the marquee today to try their luck at the box office. Manchu Manoj’s much delayed film, Attack and Nara Rohit’s Savitri are the significant releases along with very small films like Pidugu, Appudala Ippudila, 7 to 4 and Nannu Vadhili Neevu Polevule.
Attack and Savitri are already getting disaster talk. The Openings of the films are also not at all heartening. In some centers, both the movies have even registered below 10% occupancy revealing that the audience are not at all interested in these movies. Given the talk, they are not likely to sustain even this weekend.
All these films will vacate the theaters for Sardaar Gabbar Singh releasing next week. These films heading towards a failure, also mean that Oopiri will have a very comfortable second week at the box office. On the other side, its high time Nara Rohit and Manchu Manoj should reinvent themselves or else things will get much difficult.
