Dream Girl As Rajamatha In Balakrishna’s Film?
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film, about Gautamiputra Satakarni, is generating quite a lot of hype.
Directed by Krish, the film will be launched on April 8 in Amaravati. The shoot will start after a while as the team needs to erect the sets and finalise the cast.
According to DC newspaper, the makers are now on the lookout for someone who can play the role of ‘Rajamatha’, which is a central character. The source added that they would be approaching Hema Malini for the role.
“She is in the US and will return on April 10. The team will then meet her to narrate the story,” says the source.
If Hema Malini agrees, she will be acting in Tollywood after a long time as she was last seen in Pandava Vanavasam, in 1965.
A Valid Point By Uttam!

No More Remakes For Vamsi Paidipally
Vamsi Paidipally, who delivered a super hit with the remake of a French movie, will be directing Akhil Akkineni. The project has already been confirmed.
Vamsi Paidipally has been showered with great praise from all the biggies in the industry for his “Oopiri”. Since his name as sensible director has grown, he wants to prove his mettle with another different movie.
But Nagarjuna reportedly told him to adapt the super hit Bollywood movie “Ye Jawani Hai Deewani Hai” with Akhil Akkineni.
As Vamsi beautifully adapted the French movie as “Oopiri”, Nagarjuna believes that he can also recreate the same magic with this Hindi remake with his son.
On the other hand, Vamsi Paidipally is looking to scale to further using the new found image. So he is not in favour of remaking “Ye Jawani Hai Deewani Hai”.

In the last assembly session, these defected MLAs sailed through no confidence motion successfully with TDP doing some ground work. Tension is growing now in the current assembly session as to what will the TDP do for protecting the defected MLAs from any possible disqualification.
Did Naidu Really Beat Pocharam?
Telangana Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Wednesday shocked everybody in the Assembly stating that he was manhandled by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the latter’s earlier stint in the united Andhra Pradesh government.
Pocharam recalled that when he went to Naidu requesting him not to privatise Nizam Sugar Factory, the latter got irritated and beat him harshly on his thigh.
“It was a very painful thump on my thigh and the entire area became very red. But I was hurt more in my heart because of Naidu’s decision to privatise NSF,” he said.
Pocharam said after some time, Naidu called him into his chamber again and tendered an apology.
“Sorry brother, I did it in a fit of emotion. Don’t think otherwise,” Pocharam quoted Naidu as saying.
It was really surprising as to how Pocharam kept it as a secret for so long. He would have mentioned it at least with his close followers and it would have definitely come out as a gossip.
Nobody would tolerate such ill-treatment and if he was not power hungry, he should have quit the Naidu cabinet immediately.
May be, Pocharam is trying to project himself as pro-farmer minister who had tolerated beating by the Chief Minister for the welfare of sugarcane farmers. Or, may be, he was honest in admitting that he was beaten by Naidu, but calmed down after Naidu tendered an apology!

13 Years In Films: Zero To Hero

Amazon begins work on biggest campus outside US in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Global e-commerce giant Amazon on Wednesday commenced work on its biggest campus in India in Hyderabad, which will be its largest facility outside the US.
The campus, coming up on nearly 10 acres of land in financial district Gachibowli, is part of $2 billion investment announced by the company in India.
The new state-of-the-art three million square feet campus is expected to be ready in 2019 and would house thousands of employees managing backend operations for Amazon’s various global business and technology teams.
Telangana’s IT minister K.T. Rama Rao laid the foundation for the facility in the presence of David Zapolsky, Amazon’s senior vice president and general counsel legal.
Zapolsky said the facility would employ “many thousand” employees but declined to share the investment figure.
This marks Amazon’s second significant investment in the state in one year. Last year, it had announced the launch of one of its biggest fulfilment centres in the country near Hyderabad.
“Telangana has been home to our IT operations since 2005-06 and our presence in the state has grown multifold since then. With a pool of quality talent, state-of-the art infrastructure and a progressive government, the state was a natural choice for us to set up our largest campus in India here,” said Zapolsky.
“We are very excited with the growth momentum that we have been witnessing for our India business. For Amazon, India continues to be one of our highest priority investments and we plan to invest with a long-term focus,” he added.
The global online retailer began the work on the facility, a day after India opened the sector for 100 percent foreign equity, though with riders.
Replying to a query, Zapolsky said he can’t comment on the statement which came last. “Our India team is looking at it,” he said.
He also declined to comment on whether Amazon will go down on the discounts which it offers and whether it will restructure the business in India in view of the new norms.
Amazon established its backend operations in Hyderabad in 2005-06. Today, thousands of Amazonians work in Hyderabad lending backend support to not just the India business but several business and technology teams across the world, he said.
Zapolsky noted that a 280,000 square feet Fulfilment Centre that opened near Hyderabad last year was helping small and medium businesses in Telangana.
K.T. Rama Rao said the state government was also working with Amazon in building online marketplaces to promote local artisans.
The minister said the government had streamlined most of regulatory processes and procedures for the sector and was looking forward for stronger partnership with Amazon and other players.
