Last Friday saw the release of three medium budget movies, Manchu Manoj’s Shourya, Naga Shaurya’s Kalyana Vaibhogame and Jabardasth Rashmi’s Guntur Talkies. But it was Kalyana Vaibhogame which emerged a clear winner of these all.

After collecting $13,257 during the Thursday Premieres, Kalyana Vaibhogame notched up its tally by further adding $32,365 on Friday and $64,237 on Saturday respectively, taking the total to $109,859. At this rate, the US distributors will end up with huge profits in thanks to their small investments.

On the other hand, Shourya failed to put up even passable figures after its dismal premier collections of $1,316 on Thursday night, following it up with $1,305 on Friday and $1,493 on Saturday, ending up with $4,114. Even a miracle can’t pull out this Manchu Manoj starrer from ending up as a damp squib at the overseas box-office.

Even Guntur Talkies is continuing its poor show at the North American ticket counters. The film, which collected a paltry sum of $2,015 from its premieres, never revived itself and polled $1,264 on Friday and another $1,853 on Saturday, totalling to $5,132.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is not a great actor; still, he is enjoying the top star status in Tollywood. The actor himself admitted in an interview that, he is not a good actor. “In real life we all have shades of grey but I cannot play a bad guy.

I don’t think I am such a good actor,” says Pawan Kalyan in an interview. Several yesteryear actors including megastar Chiranjeevi played negative roles in their early stage of career. But, most of the contemporary heroes are not showing interest to experiment with negative roles.

However, Pawan Kalyan has his reasons for not doing roles with grey shades. Pawan Kalyan also revealed that, he is doing films only to sustain himself. He said to quit films after few years after entering politics. Pawan Kalyan is wishing to continue as writer, since he enjoys writing.

“My entering politics was because I wanted to find my voice in real life as well,” reasons Pawan Kalyan for entering politics. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is working for Sardaar Gabbar Singh under Bobby’s direction. He is expected to do two to three films, before entering direct politics.

The makers of Mega heroine Niharika Konidela’s debut film Oka Manasu unveiled the pre-look of the film as a Maha Sivaratri gift for fans. Niharika surprises everyone by flashing in a sari and going by the poster, the film seems to be a rural romantic drama.

Oka Manasu stars Naga Shaurya as the film’s hero. This heart touching love story is directed by Rama Raju of Mallela Theeram fame. Filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar produces this film along with popular news channel TV9, which is debuting in film production.

Srija, the doting younger daughter of Megastar Chiranjeevi, is all set to enter into wedlock with her childhood schoolmate Kalyan on the 28th of this month. Grand preparations are being arranged for this Mega marriage.

Until a few days ago, there were numerous reports which said that Srija will have a destination wedding and cities like Hyderabad, Tirupati and even royal forts in Jaipur and Udaipur were considered to host the wedding.

But, latest update is that Chiru’s Bangalore farmhouse will be the venue for this memorable occasion. Chiru is apparently supervising all the wedding arrangements.

A grand Sangeeth ceremony will be held in Hyderabad on the eve of 27th March and only close relatives and friends are invited to the Sangeeth and also the wedding.
