Fortune Sunflower Oil Iifa Utsavam Awards co-powered by Gionee smartphone and Renault – Passion for Life today announced the nominations for their premiere edition. A landmark event in the illustrious history of the Cinema of South India, The International Indian Film Academy (Iifa) launched the Fortune Sunflower Oil Iifa UTSAVAM powered by GIONEE smartphone and Renault- Passion for Life, the magnificent extravaganza envisioned to honor and recognize the best of South India’s film industry.

Leading the nominations is the Baahubali directed by S SRajamouli. The film has been nominated across a whopping 14 categories including Best Picture – ShobuYarlagadda / Arka Media, Direction – S SRajamouli, Leading Role Female – Tamanna, Leading Role Male – Prabhas, Lyrics – K Shiva Dutta, Music Direction – M M Keeravani, Negative Role – RanaDaggubati, Supporting Role Female – Ramya Krishna and Supporting Role Male –Satyaraj The film has scored triple nominations for Playback Singer Female – Satya Yamini, GeethaMadhuri andDamini and double nominations for Playback Singer Male – Revanth and Deepu.

Second in the lead is Srimanthudu which has been nominated in 11 Categories – Best Picture – Y Ravi Shankar / G Mahesh Babu Entertainment, Role – Vennela Kishore, Direction – Koratala Siva, Leading Role Female – Shruti Hassan, Leading Role Male – Mahesh Babu, Lyrics – RamajogayyaSastry, Music Direction – Devisri Prasad, Negative Role –Sampath, Playback Singer Male – SastrySagar, Supporting Role Female –Thulasi, Supporting Role Male – JagapatiBabu. Meanwhile, Global Voting for Iifa Utsavam will be open from 18th November 5pm till 27th November Midnight. It remains to be seen who is going to be the winner of the Best actor and other awards.

Prince Mahesh seems to be in a purchasing spree owning luxurious movable and immovable properties. A couple of days ago he purchased a BMW car for ‘Srimanthudu’s director Koratala Siva in connection with the blockbuster success of the movie. Mahesh, himself, became the owner of a Range Rower car recently.

Buzz that Mahesh is now the proud owner of a luxurious flat in Mumbai suburbs. He spent a whopping of Rs.25 crores for this flat. Interestingly, this flat was purchased from the joint venture of Salman Khan and his friends. Mahesh and Namratha have recently left for Mumbai to complete the work of documents and other formalities.

Whenever Mahesh and the members of his family pay a visit to Mumbai, they will stay in the flat they owned and they won’t prefer any hotel to stay. On the movies front, Mahesh’s forthcoming film ‘Brahmotsavam’ is on sets. Srikanth Addala is directing the movie on PVP Cinema. Samantha, Kajal and Pranitha are doing opposite to Mahesh in the film.

Apart from being an actor, Young Tiger Ntr is interested in singing songs in his movies. He crooned for the first time for ‘Olammee thikka regindha’ song from blockbuster movie ‘Yamadonga’. ‘ 123 nenoka kanthiree’ from ‘Kanthri’, ‘Chary’ song from ‘Adhurs’ and ‘Rakasi’ from ‘Rabhasa’ are the other songs sung by him so far.

Although Ntr got pass marks as a singer, the movies in which he lent voice for songs got mixed results. ‘Yamadonga’ and ‘Adhurs’ scored hits at the box office while ‘Kanthri’ and ‘Rabhasa’ bombed at the box office.

Music director Devi Sri Prasad has revealed in his recent interview that Ntr would lend his voice for a song in his upcoming film ‘Naannaku Prematho’. Ntr is expected to sing better for this movie as he already had an experience of singing four songs in his previous movies. Meanwhile, ‘Naannaku Prematho’ is currently on sets. The movie is being directed by Sukumar on SVCC banner. Rakul Preet Singh is the leading lady of the movie.

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ is being filmed in a rapid pace at the moment. The movie was thought to be readied for release by Sankranthi. However, due to the possible delay in the shoot of the film, the production team of the movie is contemplating to release the film on April 4.

However, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’s release date has reportedly been locked to April 8. Moreover, Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s ‘Sarainodu’ is also expected to be released in the same season. If the regular shoot of the movie is wrapped up on time, Prince Mahesh’s ‘Brahmotsavam’ is also expected to hit screens in the month of April.

Owing to heavy rush of Tollywood’s crazy projects in the month of April, there couldn’t be any room for dubbing films in spite of the presence of Superstars like Rajinikanth in those films. It then remains to be seen whether ‘Kabali’ gets its Telugu version postponed or do the makers prefer another comfortable release date of the movie.

Director turned producer Sukumar strikes gold with his debut production venture ‘Kumari 21f’. The movie, which was opened with positive reports on the day one of its release, not yet recorded fall of collections till date.

The film successfully collected a share of Rs.6.50 crores at the end of its first weekend run world wide. the movie is likely to collect around Rs.15 crores theatrical share at the end of its full run. We have been told that the movie has got huge demand for its remake rights in other languages. A fancy price for satellite rights may also be offered for the movie. All in all, Sukumar is likely to get the profits of around Rs.20 crores with this shoestring budgeted movie.

Raj Tarun and Hebah Patel have done the lead star cast of this romantic entertainer. Surya Prasad has directed this movie. The movie’s music was scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Rathnavelu has done the cinematography.
