The launch of Chiranjeevi’s niece Niharika Konidela’s debut film was a low-key affair. Her film was launched officially on Monday as the makers felt that it was an auspicious day. Only her family members and the film’s unit was present at the launch. Rama Raju is the director and Madhura Sridhar is producing the film.

“We worked a lot on the script and conducted workshops. It was very successful and most of the actors are ‘in character’. So at this time, we didn’t want to disturb them with a big launch function and had a low-key launch,” says Madhura.

Naga Shaurya is playing the lead actor in this film. Shooting will continue in Hyderabad for a few days and then shift to Araku near Vizag for the major schedule.

Richa Gangopadhyay is one actress who bagged plum offers in Tollywood. She left Telugu Cinema when offers are coming her way, to pursue her higher studies in USA. Cut to movies, Chaitanya wrapped up his work on Gautham Menon’s Sahasam Swaasaga Saagipo and he will be moving to Premam remake soon under Chandu Mondeti’s direction. Shruti Haasan will be pairing with the Akkineni youngster in this Malayalam movie remake.

TAM, which gives ratings of TV channels and Programmes adjudged Srimanthudu as the fourth highest watched Telugu film. Srimanthudu which was first telecast last week on Zee Telugu amassed 21.24 TRPs. The film missed the third position just by whisker.

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film, Baahubali is in the third position with 21.84 TRPs. Srimanthudu stands top among all programs telecast that week and it is also the second highest watched film this year telecast so far after Baahubali.

Nagarjuna’s Sri Ramadasu with 24 TRPs (telecast on Sri Rama Navami that year) and Ram Charan’s Magadheera with 22 TRPs are the first two films in the list of highest watched films in Telugu Television history.
