Another Hero’s Daughter turns Actress
South Indian bigwigs were always reluctant to launch their daughters as an actress, as they are well aware of the fact that shedding inhibitions is a must these days. Shruti Hassan, Lakshmi Manchu and Varalakshmi (D/O Sharath Kumar) are an exception though.
Now, Action King Arjun’s daughter Aishwarya will be joining this list soon. The 21-year-old is all set to make her debut as an actress with a Tamil-Telugu bi-lingual ‘Pattatthu Yaanai’ opposite actor Vishal. Bhupathi Pandian who earlier directed Visha-Priyamani’s action flick Bhayya will be working for this film too.
Although acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam offered her a female lead role in one of his film, Aishwarya couldn’t do it as she was busy with her studies at that time. Everyone who have seen this beautiful girl have been commenting that Vishal who wasn’t in his best form off late is lucky to get a female lead like her. Aishwarya launch pad factor will ensure a huge mileage for the film at the Box Office.
Infact, Arjun’s wife Niveditha is also an actress who quit acting post marriage. Let’s hope Aishwarya reduces the drought of actresses in South to some extent!
Sangeet rehearsals in Kareena’s house
Our readers are well aware that Kareena and Saif Ali Khan are going to enter wed lock on 16th of this month. Two receptions will follow after that in Delhi and Pataudi.
Mean while, the rehearsals for the Sangeeth are going on at Kareena’s house. Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Karisma Kapur, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora Ladak and Tusshar Kapoor are some members of the group who are busy with the dance practice. We also hear that Karan Johar will be there to shake a leg, but since he is busy with the promotions of his film, he hasn’t been a regular at the group sessions. In the meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan has flown to Paris for some personal work. And Bebo herself has been shuttling between Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi trying to accommodate her last-minute work commitments.
Country’s who is who descends for Big B’s Birthday Bash
Amitabh Bachan, the country’s biggest Super Star is entering in to 70s today. The Bachchans family had hosted a big party to celebrate the occasion. Jaya Bachchan has personally invited close friends of Amitabh Bachchan from Telugu and Tamil film industries including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna and Rana Daggubati.
All the big wigs of films and Politics have attended the party thrown by Bachchan’s family on Wednesday evening. Reliance Media Works is hosting a huge party for all the guests tomorrow evening. It surely is going to be a night to remember for everyone.

Amitabh Bachchan, the grand old man of Indian cinema is entering 70s today. And out of these 53 have been spent in front of the camera. After all these hyper-active years, the actor still acting and is still grounded.
Speaking in an interview about his entry in to films, the actor said, “I always wondered how one got into films. When I saw the Filmfare-Madhuri print ad in a magazine, I felt this was the proper way to get into the film industry. It would get me a chance to audition for a screen test; put me on a salary. Of course, I got rejected. And then, I just made up my mind that I had to be in the movies. So I landed up in Mumbai with my driving licence. I hoped that if I didn’t get into films, then I would drive a taxi.”
Rajamouli sets a new record!
With the Super Success of Rajamouli in the last few months with Eega, The director’s market had increased by several leaps and bounds. And now it is rumoured that his next movie is going to be made with a budget of 100C. Yes, you read it right. It is HUNDRED CRORE!
The movie will be released in Hindi and all South Indian languages simultaneously. Arka media who earlier produced Maryada Ramanna and Panja are the producing the movie.. The movie will go on to sets in December. A huge set worth 10 Crore is being erected for the movie in 30 acres of land in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Pawan Kalyan – Sampath Nandi movie confirmed
We have been hearing rumours of Sampath Nandi getting a chance to work with Pawan Kalyan and here is the confirmation and full details of the project from ManaTelugu side. Pawan is reportedly very much impressed with the story narrated by Sampath and okayed in a single sitting. Its a rare event Pawan giving nod to a story in a single sitting. The movie will go on to sets once Pawan complete Trivikram movie.
Sarath Marar, a long time friend of Pawan Kalyan is going to produce the movie. This is his first movie as producer. He earlier presented the Telugu version of animated movie, Hanuman. Sarath Marar is currently the CEO of NTV.

No one can beat Chandra Babu in Indian politics and for that matter even in world politics. That was the reason why political analysts hail him as modern day Chanakya. What happens if maverick director and actor team?
Tollywood has seen many star directors and actors but no one will gain immense attention for their acts like maverick director Ram Gopal Varma and even more maverick actor Posani Krishna Murali. Both are popular for their antics and movie lovers can not forget their movies in their life time. Ram Gopal Varma started off well with films like Shiva, Rangeela, Ananganaga O Roju etc but suddenly he started highlighting gory scenes in his ghost films to scare people or to glorify underworld acts with films like Company, Corporate and is now coming with Bhoot Returns and is dabbling with terrorism in ’26-11 Mumbai attacks’.
Posani Krishna Murali is no way inferior to Ram Gopal Varma and though he doesn’t enjoy the stature of RGV he made films like ‘operation Duryodhana’ and then knocked the living day lights out of many movie lovers with ‘Mental Krishna’. He is coming once again with a sequel for Operation Duryodhana titled Operation Dussasana.
One gets a wild dream what will happen if both these mavericks meet, come together and team with a film. Many feel that the film would be a sure Oscar winner as two minuses turn out to be positive. Some section feels that their film will scare away people so much that theatre owners will close all their theaters and everyone forget about the word movie from their memory.
Cong taking wind out of KCR
KCR is renowned as a keen strategist and is popular for hitting his opponents hard under the belt. However it seems even this wily customer is taken for a ride by KCR. If one happen to witness the developments over a month, one gets the feeling that Cong High Command is in no way willing to buckle under the pressure tactics of KCR.
While KCR was seen taking people for a ride that he went to Del on the invitation from Cong High Command, many top leaders like Chidambaram, Shinde, Vayalar Ravi, Ghulam Nabi Azad clarified that he was not invited by anyone in the party and that KCR came on his own. KCR now that his reputation hit hard decided to follow his usual and popular practice of making statements that an announcement on telangana will come by Dasara.
Even before he could gauge the reaction of people in the region, Home Minister Shinde said that there wont be any announcement as they haven’t discussed telangana issue at all. Now KCr has no where to hide and it has to be seen how he will handle this loss of face at the highest level at Delhi. Already at loggerheads with TJAC president Kodandaram, KCR don’t want to ruffle high power authorities any more.
KCR’s cock and bull stories
TRS chief KCR and its leaders are very good at telling cock and bull stories to people of telangana region and take them for a ride. No one dare to question them because of the fear for their high handed ways. If some one questions they will be shouted down and if they don’t mend their ways, they will have to face the fire power of TRS cadre. For long the party is successfully implementing its strategy of bullying down others.
Every one knows that KCr rakes of telangana issue according to his whims and fancies and conveniently forgets the issue once his personal gains are achieved. Many times he took people for a ride fixing some date or the other as the announcement day for telangana. However all that turned out to be false. Even now after all the happenings and developments at the centre, after which he returned empty handed, KCR again issued a popular statement that announcement would be coming on auspicious day of Dasara. Even when Union Home Minister Shinde denied all this, KCR is not going back on his statements. One wonders how many from telangana region believe KCR’s cock and bull stories.
Sharmila-YSRCP’s new power center
When YSRCP was launched with much fan fare many thought it would be Jagan centric as he single handedly defied diktats of Cong High Command and all powerful Sonia Gandhi. He in a master stroke made his mother Vijayamma to shoot a letter accusing Sonia insulting of late CM YS.Rajasekhar Reddy and not allowing her son to undertake ‘Odarpu Yatra’. Till then Vijayamma was an unknown entity as YSRCP activities used to run around Jagan.
However all that changed once Jagan was sent to Jail and there was no chance of him coming out on bail in another 6 months. Jagan and his party leaders felt that it would be difficult to operate a party from jail. They plan to take it to peoples court highlighting the double standards in Jagan’s case.
Jagan fully aware is planning to make use of his sister Sharmila who turned out to be superhit in the party during byelections campaign.Many wondered how come she disappeared after the byelections. It seemd Jagan did not want too many powercenters in the party but now that his party’s future in stake, he has no other go than rope in Sharmila to undertake padayatra.
Many feel that Sharmila will be another powercenter and with her striking resemblance and mannerisims of that of her late father YS.Rajasekhar Reddy she will be a sure hit in future.Many in the party feel that while Jagan gives credence to surveys and reports gathered by his close aides, Sharmila will be mingling with people which turn out to be her strength. It has to be seen how YSRCP’s politics will take a turn.
NTR disappoints Srinu Vaitla once again
Srinu Vaitla who is directing Young Tiger NTR’s Baadshah is facing a tough time with the actor. The director is reportedly miffed with the actor’s behaviour. The director had taken much care in designing a new look for the actor. However, NTR had attended the Birthday bash of director VV Vinayak sporting a full beard. This beard was for a special episode in Baadshah which is the heart of the movie.
The actor had done a similar thing earlier too. He had revealed his new hair style in a press meet even before the movie went on to sets. Vaitla is reportedly not happy as it killed the surprise factor and he reportedly expressed his displeasure to NTR himself. However, the director can take colace in the fact the new look received good applause.
Shadow moves aside for Nayak!
Well, well things are getting bit easier for Ram Charan and Vinayak’s Nayak as every other movie that was slated for Pongal are moving aside. First it was NTR’s Baadshah, which was pushed to March 29th from January 11th. Now it is Venkatesh’s Shadow, which is likely to be postponed from Pongal slot.
If the buzz is to be believed Shadow will release for Maha Shiva Ratri as the makers are not interested to clash with other biggies. Shadow was supposed to release for January 11, but the buyers are reluctant to release it amidst tough competition. Venkatesh’s Bodyguard suffered minor losses as it was pitted against Businessman. Had Bodyguard released some other time, it would have done better say the trade circles.
Taking a cue out of it, Shadow makers are opting for a safe release as this is a much bigger project involving big money. Another reason for this postponement is SVSC, in which Venky played one of the leads. SVSC is slated for Dec 21st release and it will certainly aim for Pongal holiday crowds. So Venkatesh can’t compete with his own film. Whatever the reason be, Shadow is out of Pongal race for sure.
