Tollywood can never forget mesmerising charm of Mangalore beauty Anushka who romanced all top stars. Anushka proved to be sweety for all top heroes and soon became sweet heart of all male movie lovers giving them sleepless nights. Right from Super, she scorched silver screen opposite all top heroes and became favorite heroine of Tollywood Manmadhudu King Nagarjuna.

She then showed her acting power with ‘Arundhati’ and then with films like ‘Vedam’ and ‘Panchakshari’ she reached completely different zone. However of later she disappeared from Tollywood silver screen and when everyone started wondering what was wrong with her she came with dubbed flick ‘Siva Tandavam’ opposite Chiyan Vikram.

Those who watched Anushka were aghast as she resembled the pale comparison of her usual self of being a bubbly beauty. When everyone started writing her off completely, her new stills from ‘Damarukam’ stunned all. She looked extremely awesome and sensuous. Many were seen discussing between themselves that it was the presence of Manmadhudu Nagarjuna which resulted in such amazing transformation in Anushka.

Many feel that one couldnt compare the old deglamor look of Anushka in Taandavam and the gorgeous sensuous look in Damarukam. That’s the effect of Manmadhudu on Anushka.

Tamannah teams up with Virat Kohli

Dont jump in to conclusions that they are going to act together in a movie. They are going to be teamed up for a TV commercials. Going in to details, Tamannnaah and young sensation Virat Kohli are endorsing ‘Celkon’ Mobiles. Apparently, the company decided to shoot an ad with both of them. Trivikram Srinivas is going to direct this ad and the commercial will be shot in Mumbai on October 14.

Tamannah is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Hindi film Himmatwala. Apart from this film, she has also been roped in for the Hindi remake of Tagore which has Akshay Kumar in lead role. So, the Celkon management expects to have good mileage with the ad.

Damarukam Censor Report

King Nagarjuna’s latest socio fantasy entertainer ‘Damarukam’ had completed its censor formalities on Friday evening. The board officials have awarded the movie with U/A certificate and had admired the efforts of the makers. With this the movie is all set to hit the screens on 19th October.

Damarukam is directed by Srinivas Reddy and produced by Dr Venkat under RR Movie Makers banner. Devi sri Prasad is music director. Cinematography is by Chota K Naidu.Anushka is once again pairing opposite Nagarjuna. The movie is so far the costliest ever in Nagarjuna’s career and the makers are confidence of its success.

Now a days tollywood is witness to many success meets, audio celebrations, platinum disc functions. But one will be left wondering how come all these things are possible with in few days even when the film gets below average talk at the box office and cannot be seen in any of the theatres. Many feel even the super success meets will enter into record books if any are there to enter their achievements. Many will be surprised to see with in few moments of release of film’s audios, film unit will be ready with gold discs, platinum discs in star hotels.
 
Most recently Puri Jagannath’s film consisted of some songs of which only two were listenable but the film celebrated audio success meet. Even those two songs happen to be similar to old hits. Now Lawrence’s music can not be understood by anyone but one wonder even his songs will celebrate platinum disc functions. How come Balakrishna’s film celebrate platinum disc functions. No one can answer these tricky questions as they don’t have any answer.
 
Film makers seems to be forgetting the fact that success of audio plays only limited part in the final result of the film. This has been proven since long time. Now even item songs are specially caned. For eg Julaayi ‘Pakdo pakdo’ doesn’t fit according to the situation but still forced its way. Film makers come out with their own stats that one or two lakhs CD sales were seen but one gets the question whether there are any takers for CDs after hi fi mobiles.
 
They should realize that people can not be taken for a ride, and they are laughing at their marketing gimmicks.

SC shocker soon to 26 GO Ministers

Indian public and common man from the state is witnessing scam after scam on daily basis that they can not remember who is in which scam, and which party is behind it. In general people have now come to the conclusion that all are corrupt and they want to choose the best between devil and the deep blue sea. Till recently 26 GOs issued by 6 cabinet ministers from the then YSR cabinet was in news ever since Jagan was sent to jail. There were rumors that Cong sacrificed its minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, so that they can counter YSRCP’s propaganda of unleashing CBI for political gains and also sit on moral high ground.
 
However that plan backfired as Supreme Court sent notices to all the six ministers and even another of its minister Dharmana Prasada Rao lost his job. CM Kiran when notices were served by SC, allowed legal aid to all the ministers. Entire opposition cried foul as to how they can be allowed to fight corruption battle using public money. However with no one questioning them and no moral accountability, they proceeded ahead.
 
However now it seems noose is tightening around these tainted ministers as Om Deora from Orissa filed a PIL in Supreme Court questioning how could Govt allow legal aid from Govt money. This will come to hearing next Monday and many expect another shocker from SC.

Unemployment in Tollywood

This may come as surprise as year 2012 proved to be quite successful for tollywood with different genre of films small and big raked in good collections at the box office. However a question arises whether all are happily employed in the industry. One can find many directors passing their time without any films and many more waiting for their turn to direct top heroes as they have already signed their projects.
 
Senior hero like Natasimha Balakrishna is not having a film in hand at present and many more stars are disappearing into the oblivion. Similar is the situation of the technical crew, cameramen, assistants, music directors etc. If some directors dared to do medium and small range films,they are experiencing the problem of theatre shortage. And also lack of funds for the promos of the films.
 
Tollywood is witnessing a new trend where everyone in the industry are introducing their relatives whether they are talented or not. Talented lot is not finding any opportunities as they don’t have any god fathers. Top stars, directors and even medium range heroes and directors are facing lack of projects.  Even in heroines except for Samantha, Tamanna, Kajal, Nayanatara, Tapsee others are not having any offers. While Genelia and Ileana went to Bollywood, Trisha is out of tollywood track. All this shows that directors and technicians are having shortage of films, films are having shortage of heroines and heroes have shortage of dates and stories. Only when these issues are sorted out by everyone in the industry, Tollywood will be shining from inside and don’t glitter from outwards.

Repairs by film makers after release!

Now a days film industry is witnessing a new trend for the new releases. For the first time people are hearing that after the first day talk film makers have decided to trim the duration of the film, cut some unwanted scenes or add some more to the delight of the viewers. Many wonder how all this will help once the talk is out in public. However film makers try all the tricks that are up in their sleeves to generate interest in the public.
 
It all started with Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer Panjaa in which film makers included the title song at the end of the film. Fans couldn’t digest it and film makers after gauging the fans response included songs twice in the film-right at the start and at the end. However this couldn’t save the film from drowning. Even Sekhar Kammula’s Life is Beautiful is not an exception for the rule as he cut short some scenes so that audience will be more interested. But it did not change the fate of the film.
 
However many feel these trimming worked quite well for Prabhas starrer Rebel. Film makers cut short unwanted scenes by 20 minutes and masses gave thumbs up to the film as collections shot up at box office. Even Siva Tandavam film makers repaired the film in original after first day’s feed back but sadly the same was not followed in the dubbed version which affected the collections of the film.
 
However Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman gangato Rambabu is undergoing all these repairs prior to its release. Buzz is Pawan is not happy with the film’s outcome and now that Puri flew to Bangkok to prepare script for his new project, film makers and Pawan personally bestowed the task of trimming to Harish Shankar. Since he happens to be Puri’s protégé, even he did not object. It has to be seen how Harish Shankar’s trimming effect the trade talk of ‘Cameraman’.

Former Minister of AP, Shankar Rao who attained immense popularity for filing a case against all powerful Kadapa MP YS.Jagan, himself landed in a soup. Shankar Rao who is lovingly known as Shankar Anna who poses and boasts in front of media and in public as if he is the only honest politician and who is the lone crusader against corruption in the country, found himself in the wrong side of the law.
 
It cameout in open that some people purchased a plots some 20yrs back with their hard earned money. However our Andhra Hazare Shankar Rao created forged documents on his brothers name and now asking the real owners to vacate the plae as the entire land and plots belong to him. The real owners met many law enforcement authorities but till now no one heeded to their appeals. All this happened at Alwal Muncipal Circle and in Subhash Nagar where more than 1000 people purchased properties and even named the colony as Green Field Colony.

Now Shankar Rao and his brother Dayanand on whose name documents were forged are threatening the residents to vacate the place even though Court ruled the judgement in the favor of residents. However police are not willing to implement court order for the fear of Shankar Anna. More recenly High Court even quashed stay on arrest warrant against the minister. Police are now getting ready to question Shankar Rao and Dayanand.

KCR hates Yatras

TRS supremo KCR seems to be having his own style. It seems he tries to create a new trend then follow other political leaders and parties. Of late all political parties and leaders have hit upon roads taking on yatras on one pretext or the other in the runup of 2014 elections. While TDP president Chandra Babu Naidu is currently on ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’, YSRCP’s Sharmila will soon counter him with her own padayatra. CM Kiran of ruling Cong Party is already on roads with Indiramma Baata. All other small parties are doing their own yatras in its power play.
 
KCR who is known to take people by surprise till now did not take yatras. Till this time, in his political career he sat on fast unto death, dharnas, rastarokos, million marches, mass mobilization of people etc. For those who wonder why KCR is not taking on yatras, his opponents make fun of him saying his health will not permit him and he can not sustain himself for hardly few kilo meters. They cite KCR’s famous fast unto death, during which he was seen taking saline and when there was wide spread protests he enacted another drama at hospital. But their party leaders say that their chief has many strategies to surprise opponents unlike them who follow each other.

Doctors have recommended transplantation which would further cost around 10 lakhs for treating Sajan. Director Raghava Lawrence, through his charitable trust, has contributed 3 lakhs to Daddy Srinivas.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu is the most awaited movie of the season for several reasons. There are high hopes on the projects among Pawan Kalyan’s fans. The movie was screened to the Regional Censor Board officials on Thursday. The movie was awarded U/A certificate with two minor audio cuts. The officials have reportedly appreciated the movie. With this the movie is all set to release on October 18th.

Tamanna is the heroine in this movie and Puri Jagan is the director. Mani Sharma has scored the music. Pawan will be seen in a power packed role in the movie and Prakash Raj is the main villain in the movie. Danayya is the producer of this movie.

Allu Sirish hurt on Gauravam sets

Looks like Allu scion and Allu Arjun’ younger brother Sirish is shedding enough sweat for his debut movie, Gauravam. He has been shooting for the last few days in Pollachi with director Radhamohan and the rest of the cast and crew. And now, we hear that the actor, who recently shot for the climax sequence, hurt himself while filming.

It was told that one of the fighters, who was doing the stunt with him, accidentally hit Sirish on the nose. The blow was really powerful and the actor’s nose started bleeding. It seems Sirish was fine after a while and resumed work on a song.

Small kids look lovely and cute. However thanks to maverick director Ram Gopal Varma, now even lovely little ones are out to scare elders. Ramu is unleashing a small kid to scare way elders during nights. Ramu is coming with ‘Bhoot Returns’ in 3D today which is releasing in telugu as ‘Boochi’. He himself revealed that during his childhood he used to scare people shouting ‘Boo’ taking them by surprise from hidden places. Ramu even says Ghosts like to be glamorous and like to be filmed in photos. He said he even saw ghosts in person.
 
However one wonder whether kids can really scare elders or Ramu is just using his marketing technique to pull out crowds to his film. Already  there were reports that parents of  the child who acted in Boochi filed a PIL against RGV for taking such scarry movie. They allege that after watching the premier their child suffered from severe palpitations. Now it has to be seen what impact RGV’s Boochi creates in 3D on movie lovers. RGV who with his earlier films scared away people with his insipid storyline, this time plans to scare people with kids. Let us see how successful he emerges in his efforts.

Why don’t T-Reps learn from Seemandhra?

Those who have been watching the fight for separate statehood for telangana region wonder why telangana representatives from various parties forget their differences and fight in united manner for the cause of telangana. People from the region have been watching them fight between themselves, hurl abuses at different parties and sport a divided front in front of Union Govt and their counter parts. They have formed different organizations apart from various political parties and each have their own agenda. While TRS and KCR will fight on its own way forcing byelections and increasing its tally by targeting only TDP, Kodandaram of TJAC will try to increase his support base coming out of the clutches of TRS.Congress T-MPs will fight its own T MLAs and MLCs while BJP fight in its own way. TDP follows its two eyed policy.
 
This was in complete contrast to seemandhra representatives who happen to be T-reps favorite punching bag. The moment mid night statement on telangana came out, they sported a united front and without any second thoughts sent in resignation papers to speaker unlike telangana reps who sent it to their delhi bosses or their respective party leaders. This showed that they are not interested in achieving telangana but want only political mileage. Atleast now rather than hurling abuses at seemandhra counterparts better take a leaf or two on how to fight for telangana.

Why Bharathi is sidelined/ jagan don’t want to be Nadhra Laloo

There are many stories going around in media aboyt why Jagan is sidelining his wife by not handing over key responsibilities, posts in YSRCP. Till now he has handed all the key responsibilities to either his mother Vijayammja or to his sister Sharmila. Though YSRCP leaders say that since Bharathi is busy looking after the functioning of YS.Jagan’s companies, political analysts feel ,that this is leading to power war in YSRCP. They feel when Jagan alone was handling party activities and functioning, he used to be the single point of contact for any problem for any leader or party cadre. However once Jagan went to jail there are already two power centeres Viajayamma and Sharmila and one wonder even Bharati’s power center may be secretely operating. To the top of it even small leaders have their own power centers.
 
Jagan doesn’t want to have too many power centers and as such he do not want to give an opportunity to opponents by handing over any party responsibilities to his wife Bharati, for the fear of getting branded as ‘Andhra Laloo’. It is known that former Bihar CM Laloo Prasad Yadav gained popularity by making his wife Rabdri Devi as rubber stamp CM of Bihar.
