‘Power’ less Dharmana is more Popular than Before

In politics power does many things and people give value to the politician based on the power he holds. There again once he holds a post people analyze the power the post is associated with and how much clout that post has. No one care for the person who loses power and that is the reason why politicians cling to power even when they are on their death bed. However to the shock of all Andhra Pradesh’s Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao who tendered his resignation following CBI including his name in the chargesheet on Vanpic land allotment, is witnessing his popularity soar in view of his cabinet colleagues, party workers and others.
The moment of his resignation was heard, Ministers, MLAs and Congress senior leaders thronged his house. Some in the congress leaders were seen remarking that ‘Power’less Dharmana seems to be more popular than ‘Power’ful Dharmana. Many say with his popularity on rise who knows in future he may be in race for the CM post. Some analysts predict that at present his stars are on rise and he is enjoying all importance and media attention on equal footing to CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.
This shows anything may happen in politics. Currently Dharmana may be down and out but people will be mistaken if they write him off completely.

Coal Blocks Dasari’s Political Roads

Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao is getting ready to teach his bete noire Mega Star Chiranjeevi an unforgettable lesson. Dasari has been nursing injuries and hurt ego ever since he was sidelined by Sonia Gandhi and Congress High Command by stripping him of the Union Minister of State at the Central Govt and then later not re nominating again for the Rajya Sabha. His fury increased in multiple bounds when Chiranjeevi who merged his PRP into Congress was sent to Rajya Sabha. Dasari who was waiting for an opportune time is setting his sights on joining YSRCP which is emerging as a strong force in Andhra Pradesh. Even its chief YS.Jagan is not averse to bringing him into the fold.
However Dasari’s political roads are meeting with Coal Blocks filled with scams. Recently CAG unearthed a huge scam worth crores of rupees more than that of 2G in Union Coal Ministry. Entire opposition is up in the arms and now demand is growing for the CBI enquiry ordering investigation into the whole issue. Opposition is asking that the organisation should inquire not only present ministers but also former ministers who worked in Coal Ministry. As such Dasari Narayana Rao worked as Minister of State in Coal Ministry when Sibhu Soren was the Union Coal Minister. Opposition feels that Dasari might have expressed his opinions and might have kept some in writing in his communication with the PM Manmohan though the Ministry comes under the direct control of PM. They are even questioning if Dasari had not communicated with PM regarding the issue then what was he doing as a Minister during his entire tenure. Surely tough days ahead for Dasari.

Currently three film makers are fast catching the attention of all movie lovers. DVV.Danayya is on high altitude as he already made Julaayi with Stylish Star Allu Arjun under Trivikram Srinivas direction and two more films with mega heroes readying for grand release on his Universal Media banner. They include Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman Gangato Rambabu under Puri Jagannath’s direction and Mega Power Star Ram Charan Teja’s ‘Nayak’ under VV.Vinayak direction. Both the films have lot of expectations as Pawan Kalyan is doing the film after his ‘Gabbar Singh’ sensational success while Ram Charan is doing dual role for the first time in his career.
BVSN.Prasad is attracting the attention of all with his films. Known as ‘Chatrapati’ Prasad, he is producing hot hero Prabhas’ ‘Rebel’ under Raghava Lawrence direction, while two more films with Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Nizam King Gopichand are on the anvil. He already made Mass Maharaja Raviteja’s ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ under Puri Jagannath’s direction. One can never forget Dil Raju who is getting ready to silently hit a sixer. He is planning to producer 6 big budget films soon. In the midst of all this many star questioning about producer Bellamkonda Suresh who has been reeling under string of flops.

Cong at State and Center minting mines

When CAG found fault with the system of allocation of coal blocks by Center and directly indicted PM Manmohan Sigh, Congress went hammer and tongs accusing the opposition parties of hatching a conspiracy against its Government. It said all the coal allocations were done by opposition ruled states. It again went on to say that it was just following the policy of the then NDA govt at the center.
Analysts however find fault at UPA Govt’s argument and point out to its earlier argument which was similar in 2G case. However two of its ministers were arrested and sent packing to Tihar Jail. Now they predict the same result with Coal Minister Jai Prakash Jaiswal next in queue. People are aghast with the functioning of State and Central Govt’s led by Congress, as its entire rule is tainted with scams and corruption charges.
It conveniently shifts the blame on its coalition partners and in State shifts the blame on YSR who ruled the state after leading Cong to power. All this shows that it is not interested in giving good governance to people of the country and the state but is interested in minting money with mines and then increasing petrol and power charges taxing people on essential items. It has to be seen what will be the reaction of the people who voted the party to power in the last elections.

Babu to be booted out of AP?

TDP cadre and its leaders, many times countered that argument that their leader Chandra Babu is not opposed to Telangana formation and if and when the state is formed then Naidu will be getting promotion. They say that he will become national leader as TDP will then be in two states. However Chandra Babu never encouraged this kind of discussion in what so ever manner but cleverly followed two eyed policy. However many say a clever plan is hatched by Natasimha Balakrishna and Young Tiger Jr NTR.
Though many say both are not in good terms and are not even speaking with each other, some feel it is a strategy to hoodwink Babu. Already Balakrishna gave a clear cut statement that he is not opposed to the formation of Telangana, and his party will send one more letter to Center on the issue. This came as a shock to Babu as he has been many times delaying on letter keeping it under wraps.
Buzz is Balayya along with NTR came with a master plan to boot out Babu totally from the state of Andhra Pradesh and wrest the party from his iron clutches.Once Telangana is formed NTR will lead the party in Telangana region while Balakrishna will lead the party in Seemandhra region. In this way one can totally minimise Babu’s influence on the state as he is fast becoming spent force in state politics. It has to be seen how Babu will tackle this double strike from NTR’s family.

No signals for Chiru-Numerous for KCR

Mega Star Chiranjeevi for long has been waiting patiently to hear the news about his elevation as Minister in Union Cabinet or Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Many say he sold his party on this whole sale offer only. However two to three byelections passed away and even before that Tamil Nadu state elections completed but much to the disappointment of Chiru no good news emanated. He made trips with his troup to Delhi but he did not get any signals what so ever from the high command. This is in sharp contrast to TRS Chief KCR who claim he is getting lot of signals from Cong High Command and its Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
According to latest information KCR’s signals may turn partially true as Center is getting ready to set up Development Council for Telangana to atleast claim that it is not totally against the formation of the state. Even for Megastar some say he will be inducted into Union Cabinet along with Rahul Gandhi. It has to be seen whose signals will turn out to be true. Whether both will be delighted by positive signals or disappointed with negative signals or one will be delighted and other disappointed has to be seen soon.What ever may be the developments one can be sure that KCR will not take anything lying as his party already announced his schedule for T-State. Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s plan of action is unknown till now.

Gabbar Singh completes 100 days today

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s mass action entertainer ‘Gabbar Singh’ has completed a grand 100 days today in 54 direct Centers. ‘Gabbar Singh’ has smashed its way into the record books and became the second highest grossing films of all time in the history of TFI. Power Star fans all around the globe are gearing up to celebrate this moment in which they screen all the hit numbers of mega family and the highlight scenes and songs from the movie.
All the fans associations are planning special ‘Annadhanams’, erecting huge flexis, burning crackers and cake cuttings etc.. On the other sides, normal fans (who are not associated to fan clubs) are finding it hard to get hands on the tickets for the special shows as most of them are blocked by fans associations.
The movie is an official remake of Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ but director Harish Shankar made significant changes to the script to make it suitable for local tastes.
The beautiful Shruti Haasan was seen as the female lead while Abhimanyu Singh played the villain’s role. Chartbusting music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Bandla Ganesh produced the movie on Parameshwara Art Productions banner.

Hindi Maryada Ramanna in trouble

Son of Sardar starring Ajay Devagan is the official remake of Maryada Ramanna starring Sunil and Saloni. However, the movie had ran in to troubles now. A senior lawyer on Friday issued a legal notice to actor after watching the official trailer of Son of Sardaar on Youtube and producer Ajay Devgan for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs in his upcoming flick Son of Sardar. The lawyer requested Devgan to delete such dialogues from the film in public interest or his office would to take legal action against the Bollywood actor and all other persons involved in execution of this film on criminal as well as civil side.

The notice said that the film, in some parts, shows Sikhs in a bad light and hurts religious sentiments.
The contents available to the public through the official trailer on Youtube contains “absurd comments”, the notice said, adding that “in case Sardars would not have been there, then on whom would the jokes be made.”

Bollywood producer files case on Tamannah

Bollywood Producer Salim Akhtar, who produced Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in which Tamannah was first introduced as heroine has moved to court against her, who allegedly hasn’t honoured her contract with him that requires her to shell out 25 per cent of her earnings for five years to the producer.
Explaining how he discovered Tamannah, Akhtar said, “She was my daughter’s classmate at Maneckji Cooper School in Juhu. My daughter told me there’s this beautiful girl in her class, whom I should cast in Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, which starred my nephew Samir. After a few days, Tamannah came to see me with her parents. That’s how I cast her.”
Asked about taking her to court, the producer said, “My agreement with Tamannah dated October 28, 2003 clearly states that she is on a revenue sharing basis with my company, Aftab Pictures Pvt Ltd, from March 2005 till March 2010. I have lost a lot of money. She did so well in the south after my film, but did not share a single paisa with me. She just disappeared. I tried contacting her but she wouldn’t respond. I had no choice but to file a case against her in the Court of Additional Chief Magistrate Sealdah, Kolkata.”

Tapsee’s adventures in Ladakh

Cutie Pie Tapsee Pannu seems to be trying her hands at adventure. The actress has been shooting in the chilly weather of Ladakh for the last one month for the movie starring Gopi Chand and directed by Chandra Shekar Yeleti.
The Punjabi girl reportedly had rafted for 15 kms and is all excited about the whole experience. The actress says, “How can I stay quiet without rafting when I am in Ladakh? The valley is so popular for rafting. When the crew got a day off, some of the members from the unit and I went for rafting. There were some foreigners as well, who were part of the rafting team.”

Damarukham all set to see light

RR Movie Makers who entered in to movie production and distribution with a rage, suffered some severe setbacks and their ongoing projects were halted midway due to financial problems. Nagarjuna’s high budget movie Damarukham is one of them. When the movie shooting was halted in February, it is complete except for one song. And now the makers have announced that the last song of the movie will be shot from 27th of this month. The audio release of the movie will take place on September 10th and movie will hit the screens on October 12th.
Damarukam is directed by Srinivas Reddy and produced by Dr Venkat under RR Movie Makers banner. Devisri Prasad is music director. Cinematography is by Chota K Naidu.Anushka is once again pairing opposite Nagarjuna.

The advent of MP3 format spelled death knell to audio market which has been ruling the market with out any challenge. Very few film music directors entered the audio market and tasted success. Isaignani Ilayaraja tasted little bit success due to his association with renowned audio making company Echo Recording company.
MM.Keeravani made his foray into the audio market when the entire market was reeling in piracy controversies. Analysts feel for the first time after more than five years there was heavy demand seen for a telugu film’s audios. Many feel that this is not due to the music, film or songs but due to the belief and devotion of Sai Baba devotees.
Keeravani tasted success at last in the music industry, thanks to the devotion and immense belief of millions of Sai Baba devotees who thronged the music companies for the albums of Shirdi Sai.

Now a days many reputed organisations started giving awards and rewards felicitating top films, performances for the year in Tollywood film industry. However many wonder whether all those wards are really popular or not as sometimes many films or stars win awards though their films don’t do well at the box office and movie lovers unaware of their names.
Most of these awards are decided by online polls or smses and if one goes by that strategy, then local drawing master will win award in contest with renowned Picasso paintintg. More recently two small budget films with double meaning dialogues became superhits. If one goes by collections and records then better give them awards.
Some time back Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao miffed with the awards committee blasted the Committee Chairman DVS.Raju as two of his classic films did not get awards. In two days time an unknown organisation came up and felicitated Dasari and his two films and later the organisation disappeared into the oblivon. This shows how awards are actually given.
Awards decided by online polls and smses have one drawback. A person can send numerous smses and as such only educated urban youth will be participating while masses who are the driving force between any film’s success will be deprieved of having any say in deciding the awards. This itself shows that award winning movies don’t actually reflect the mood of the movie lovers.

Now the buzz is King Nagarjuna will be donning the role of Jesus Christ under top director Raghavendra Rao. Many wonder whether he can succeed where Power Star Pawan Kalyan failed. Nag and Raghavendra Rao duo delivered super hit devotional films like ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Sri Ramadasu’ and now they are coming with ‘Shirdi Sai’. Movie lovers and film critics opine that Nag has it in him to mesmerise all with his kind of acting.

Salman Khan’s most awaited film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ might have received mixed response from critics, but the Kabir Khan film has kept the Box Office ringing since its release, the Rs 75 crore budget film has reportedly made a business of Rs 32 crore on the first day itself!
The movie is produced by Yash Raj Films, The film has been shot at expensive locales spread across 5 countries.
Popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to write, “#EkThaTiger Wed biz still being compiled. Yashraj still getting data. So one can only estimate. Anywhere between 32 to 35 cr nett. Ab bolo!(sic), and added, “To state that #EkThaTiger has created History would be wrong. Wed figures are BEYOND HISTORIC(sic).”

Rana shoots with Ajith!

His maiden venture in Tamil,Ongaram (Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum in Telugu),is yet to hit screens, but Rana Daggubati has already squeezed in time to shoot for Ajith’s next,directed by Vishnuvardhan. He’s playing a cameo in this film and his portion will be wrapped up in the next few days.
Vishnu Vardhan (of Panjaa fame) is directing the film and it stars Ajith, Nayanthara, Arya and Taapsee in lead roles. It’s been a hectic month for Rana, so far. Apart from the shooting of Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, he was busy with the engagement ceremony of his sister Malavika and now he’s back to work again.

Famous yesteryear actress Divya Bharathi who was often referred to as a young Sridevi fell to her death from her Mumbai apartment on April 5 1993. The cause of her death still remains a mystery. And now Bollywood is making a movie titled Love Behind The Border, reportedly based on the life of famous actress who ruled the roost in the 90s.
Greece actress Tatiana Tsapikidou has been ropped in to play the role of Divya’s costume designer Neeta Lulla. A source said, “During Divya’s last moments, her designer, Neeta, and her husband producer Sajid Nadiadwala were a constant by her side. The makers felt that Tatiana is perfect for the role of Neeta. Actor Vije Bhatia will play Sajid. ” The source also adds, “The film is not to sensationalise the loss of a good actress, but it is just to pay a tribute to her.”
